Which may have been the reason for the core to be converted into this hammerstone. The tool is roundish, but some flat planes(negative scars of detached flakes) are still visible. The hammerstone has two major scars fields on the faces, and several edges have scars fields too, as they were used for flint knapping. A large drusy is on the face shown first, but the crystals are rounded and worn, they don't glitter anymore. The second drusy with glittery crystals is shown in pictures 6 and 7. Terrific Neanderthal Chalcedony Levallois Core, Stone Age Europe Mousterian
Terrific Neanderthal Chalcedony Levallois Core. Stone Age Europe Mousterian Description Type: Levallois core. Paleolithic Period. Industry: Middle Paleolithic: Mousterian.
