Lake Erie Maps& Prints! An Authentic Antique Map: Not a Modern Reproduction! See Our Ebay Store for other! Free Shipping on Purchases of 5 or More ... moreMaps and Prints* Description: It is an original engraved antique map in excellent condition with the plate mark indentions clearly shown in the margins. It is designed by A.H. Dufour and was published in M.A. Thiers' Atlas de L'Histoire du Consulat et de L'Empire(Paris: Paulin. 1859) The map itself is well documented on the map: the title of the atlas appears in the upper left margin, the title of the map in the top center, the plate number in the upper right, the designer Dufour's name in the bottom left, the publisher Paulin's name in bottom center and the engraver Dyonnet in the bottom right. A copy of the title page with the date is also included for authenticity. This series of maps were designed to illustrate the terrain of the battles of the Napoleonic campaigns. They are very detailed in terms of the topography and are generally focused on a particular region, battlefield or campaign, although military positions are generally not shown. It is not matted nor mounted, being sold as a single individual sheet as seen in the main pic. It is very early in date for this degree of detail, published without a centerfold: usually they were folded in half for some editions, so it is exceptionally nice for framing. Size: The map image measures approximately 8 by 10 3/4 inches on a 10 1/2 by 17" page with a margin all around for framing as seen in the pic. Condition: The map is in Excellent condition. Printed on bright high cotton paper, blank on the reverse side. It is basically as seen in the pics or better. Other than an occasional random small spot or speck as expected, the map is very clean and would frame up nicely. See the pics for a better idea of the condition. Payment Details: We accept most major credit cards through Paypal and Ebay. Please ask if you have any questions about payment. International and New Bidders are welcomed and enc

12000Y.O: GREAT BURIN STONE AGE UPPER PALEOLITHIC MAGDALENIAN FLINT SILEX EUROPE
EUROPEAN STONE AGE ARTIFACTS BY PALATINA AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED Description European Palaeolithic Magdalenian Culture. Dating around 12000 BP. Late Upper Palaeolithic hunter-gatherer communities occupying much of northern and western Europe during the period 16000–10000 bc. The classic Magdalenian is concentrated in southern France and northern Spain. But it can also be recognized extending northwards into Britain and eastwards into the North European Plain in Germany, Poland, and as far as the Sudost River in Russia. The name is taken from the type-site rock-shelter of La Madeleine in the Dordogne Valley of southwest France. The Magdalenian stone industry is characterized by small geometrically shaped implements, especially triangles and semilunar blades, that were probably set into bone or antler handles for use, burins, scrapers, borers, ... morebacked bladelets, and shouldered and leaf-shaped projectile points. Bone was used extensively to make wedges, adzes, hammers, spear heads with link shafts, barbed points and harpoons, eyed needles, and jewellery. Their economy was based on reindeer hunting and fishing, and there is evidence of occupied caves as well as open sites. Some of the finest cave art in France and northern Spain can be attributed to these communities, as can a great many decorated bone and ivory pieces. The Magdalenian followed the Solutrean and Aurignacian and was succeeded by the simplified Azilian. Magdalenian culture disappeared as the cool. Near-glacial climate of the late Devensian Stage warmed and the animal herds the communities depended upon became scarce. This terrific flint artifact with carefully trimmed edges is 46 mms long. Wonderful patinated flint silex with fossil includings! Provenance is an old German collection. More details will follow the artifacts. I guarantee absolutely for the authenticity of this wonderful Middle European artifact. Please view also my other auctions with relics from the European Prehistory. Powered by The free listing tool.
