Absolutely beautiful true Victorian bureau/dresser top mirror. It appears to be made of either rosewood or mahogany. It has a compartment with a double hinged lid at the top of the base. Please look at all pictures as this piece is not in pristine condition. But at the same time, please notice the beautiful carvings throughout. It is in overall good condition and is a true beauty. The side hand carved mirror mounts are supported by threaded wooden bolts and attached by large wooden screws(please note pictures) The oval flat piece that covers the back of the mirror was been replaced many years ago. Offered is a KINDEL Furniture Co. Dresser-top mirror with single drawer unit. Made in Grand Rapids. Mi. Made between 1936 to 1949(verified) of solid Honduras Mahogany in the Oxford finish. Piece is from the collection called"Belvedere" Not marked on piece, but verified from the factory as such. Mid-century look. Very solid and no loose wood joints or re-glues. There is a slight scuff at left. Shown in photo 5, and minor blemishes here and there. But overall is attractive and well deserving of your attention. The four legs are also intact and have new felt pads applied to the bottom of each. Can be used on a dressing/makeup table also. It has its normal minor scratches as would be expected. But no abuse or"fixed" wooden areas. The mirror tilts and can be secured in any position by the original hardware shown. see pics) ... moreThe mirror glass is good with some minor ghosting. Marble Top Victorian Antique Bedroom Dresser with Mirror and decorative top
This is an antique dresser with a beveled marble top(marble recently replaced) and candle-stands flanking the large mirror in the middle. The greatest thing about this piece is the decorative top that attaches via pegs to the top of the mirror(see pics) It has rolling wheels on the bottom. So it's easy to move around. The top can be removed from the bottom via screws on the back of the mirror. All in all. I'd say it's in good condition, but has been stored and of course needs a good cleaning. This is an Antique Hard Wood& Paneling. Dresser with Tabletop Vanity Mirror that Swivels, 70 inches tall. Made in USA. Has 6 dovetail drawers without the key to the locks. Top drawers have original porcelain knobs. The other drawer pulls are newer reproductions. Some of the dovetail corners were glued and set with masking tape(old repair holding fine) Mirror frame has a small crack in the back that doesn't show from the front. Should be an easy repair. Siverback mirror was very blotchy and replaced with a new mirror. Dresser sides are constructed with wood panels and have some general wear. Finish is still smooth. Wheels are original wood caster and working. Back was left untouched with remnants of the original white wash paint. Estimate age is 1920's- 30's. There are some splits in the veneer around the mirror and peeling on the front left corner of the top piece. There is a split on the right side panel of the top piece as well. There are typical nicks and dings on the wood that tops the bow front drawers. This piece is in good overall condition for its age. I do not know the maker or exact date it was made. The chest or base measures 28 5/8 inches tall, 42 inches side to side and 18 inches front to back. It weighs 70 pounds. The marble top measures 7/8 inches thick, 42 inches side to side and 18 1/18 inches front to back. It weighs 59 pounds. Vanity was purchased in North Carolina. It is an strong/solid furniture that has been well taken care of by one owner. It has a thick cut(deep south glass) to cover the top. The previous owner had photos of her family and places they had gone under the glass top. It was quite moving showing what seemed to be most important in her family's life span. There is a slight dark spot on top left side of vanity that seems to been from something hot being laid on the top but is not real noticeable. It is where one would probably have items for their dressing table covering the area with decorative powder dish or jewelry box. I could easily see this vanity being handed down through many generations of a family.

Beautiful hand made ladies dresser top mirrored jewelry box. Heavily inlaid with sailboats and ocean theme in the center top. Marquetry patterned surrounding the entire piece. Including the mirror, the top, all four sides, and even around the perimeter of the entire bottom(even around the drawer opening see pic with drawer out for detail) 9 beautiful little hand carved hearts adorn this beauty everywhere it seems(see pics. See incredible detail to even the back of the swivel mirror. Right down to the little solid brass screws holding the mirror frame. Overall 16" tall to the top of the mirror. 16" wide, 11" deep. Box is just over 5" tall. There are almost two many wood species to list including rosewood, walnut, maple, what appears to be ebony, and obvious others. I hope the pictures do this gorgeous item justice. Please ... morenote the handles and drawer knob are an attractive copper luster. But are possibly replacements. I am sure someone could readily locate more appropriate period type handles and these are easily removed. This is a very nice solid mahogany washstand with a marble top made in England circa 1890. This would have had a bowl and pitcher on at one time. This was before sinks were invented. it has the original tiles to the back. It could be used as a server for drinks as the marble keeps things cool.
