Vintage/antique shaving/grooming dresser top mirror
Antique shaving/grooming mirror that is made to sit on top of a dresser. This is. I believe walnut. It measures 22 1/2" tall x 21" wide x 7 1/2" deep. This belonged to my grandfather and I believe it is from the 20's or 30's. The mirror has a small amount of aging or distress near the edges on the right side and bottom. The wood is in good condition.

EARLY SUPERB CURLY MAPLE SHAVING STAND MIRROR 2 DRAWER WOOD PRIMITIVE DRESSER
Offered here this outstanding Early Curly Maple dresser top Shaving Mirror with two drawers. This is a beautiful survivor period piece with gorgeous on fire curly maple throughout. Measures 18 3/8" across the top and is 19 3/4" tall. Two nice bow front drawers that have handcut dovetails on front and back and hand turned posts border the mirror. Circa 1840 to 1860 which has yielded rich creamy patination. No damage to this piece with the small exception of tiny piece of veneer missing on back corner and one drawer has some ink stains inside drawer and small age split on side(see pic) Other than that just normal wear from 160-170 years of use. Antique Vintage Rare Shaving Mirror with Scalloped Glass Iron Holder / Stand
Up for bid is a very nice Antique Vintage Shaving Mirror with scalloped glass. attached to an iron frame holder that can double as a stand. It swivels. Tilts forward, and all. The Iron is in great shape and works perfectly. The mirror itself has some wear and shows its age and has a small dot imperfection on the middle right. The mirror has some sort of girl design with flowers on the top left. I don't know much about this mirror. I was told by a friend that it was an antique and probably worth a good amount of money. I don't know the age. Maker, etc. from looking at other listings, it perhaps could be from the 1800's or very early 1900's. Including the mirror, the top, all four sides, and even around the perimeter of the entire bottom(even around the drawer opening see pic with drawer out for detail) 9 beautiful little hand carved hearts adorn this beauty everywhere it seems(see pics. See incredible detail to even the back of the swivel mirror. Right down to the little solid brass screws holding the mirror frame. Overall 16" tall to the top of the mirror. 16" wide, 11" deep. Box is just over 5" tall. There are almost two many wood species to list including rosewood, walnut, maple, what appears to be ebony, and obvious others. It really is an exceptional quartered quarter sawn oak piece with beautiful applied carvings. Professionally refinished and it has a smooth and even finish. Note the egg& dart trim, side spindles, tilting beveled mirror(excellent) with drawer below. Unusual piece and nice size at 24 high and 13 wide. Circa 1900. Also an old Gillette type razor and an old Gibbs shaving brush(from a later period) Box size approx: L: 8.5 inches(220 mm) W: 6.5(170 mm) H: 2 inches(50 mm) When the mirror is up it stands 8.5 inches(220 mm) Condition: The hinges are loose. Need new nails to tighten the lid, and the mirror has small spots, but nothing serious for such an old box. ANTIQUE GENTELMAN'S SHAVING VANITY This is a listing for a very unique antique shaving vanity with a center drawer. Storage compartments, and tilt mirror. The mirror measures 15" high x 9" wide framed in a 1 1/4" wood frame. The base measures 20" across x 13" deep with a 13"x11 1/2"x 2 3/4" pull out drawer, two top side compartments for tie clasps, cuff links, etc. each measuring 5 1/2"x 2 1/2" x2" with hinged lids, and two gull-wing flip out compartments for straight razors, combs, etc. The mirror glass is in good condition with no cracks or breaks. The drawer has unique locking devices which are mounted on the ends of the flip out gull wing compartments which need to be opened before pulling the drawer out. I included photo's of each side for you to see how they lock the drawer. ... moreThe over-all condition for this item is in good condition with minor surface scratching but no cracks or deep gouging to the wood. The mirror tilts forward and back on a long screw mounted on each side of the mirror. The outside measurements for the entire unit are 27" high x 20" wide x 13" deep. There are no markings to determine the maker and the age is a guess but could very well be pre 1900. Please refer to the photo's for a visual description. This unit weighs 18 lb. 9 oz. before packaging. I would encourage local pick up if you are able to do so and will reimburse any shipping charges incurred in the invoicing.

It's just beautiful with minor wear. There is some light crazing. Which I think adds to the charm and a nick on the back which I've pictured. Other than that it's great. No breaks. No repairs done to it. It's ready tp polish up and use. This is a GREAT copy of a 17th century dressing mirror from back then. Of the highest quality from a VERY HIGH END estate here in Naples.
