Antique 1916 Mahogany Dresser / Dressing Table / Vanity with Mirror
THIS ITEM IS FOR LOCAL PICKUP IN IRWIN. PA 15642 ONLY. NO SHIPPING. Antique vanity/ dresser/ dressing table with mirror. The finish is a dark brown. As shown in the pictures. The facing is missing in a couple places. The mirror has two side mirrors that fold in and out. It has 5 drawers; each drawer has a lock mechanism that looks like it accepts the old style skeleton keys, but I don't have a key for it. The size is about 20 inches deep, 44 inches wide, and 59 inches high. Although I can't tell what they mean, there are several markings on it. Stamped into the wood on the back are the numbers 4474 and 57. 4474 seems like it was important to the manufacturer, because it is in 3 separate places. The mirror is very delicately attached to the dresser. I took the wooden back panel off the mirror to see how it was attached and figure out ... morehow to make it more sturdy, and discovered that the back of the mirror is stenciled with the date June 13, 1916 and an"N" and a"P" which may be the mirror manufacturer's logo. On the inside of the wooden back panel are the words"4474 Mahogany" hand written in cursive pencil. The number"48-88" is stenciled inside the back panel also. 4474 Mahogany Toilet" is also hand written in pencil inside one of the left hand drawers, along with what looks to be the"48-88" again. I looked online but couldn't find information on what these numbers mean or where the vanity came from(or how much it's really worth) I also don't know if"Mahogany" is meant to be the color of the finish, or the type of wood it's made of. The mirror doesn't come off for transportation. It is attached only with 4 screws through the wood mirror frame into the desk part. Which is why the center mirror rocks back and forth a little when the vanity is moved. It could be braced more securely but I don't want to put more screws into it, the new owner can do that. Up for auction is this antique mirror. The trim is very pretty& looks like leaves all around it. It is silver plated. The back is covered with metal. The mirror is very old. Multiple types of wood inlays were used on this circa 1930-1940's vanity to enhance the Art Deco design of the piece. Just beautiful! The large 39 3/4" diameter mirror sits on the 4-drawer vanity top; there is a round marbled wood medallion in the middle. The drawers are dovetailed. The reflective back of the mirror is worn though you can see yourself clearly. The top of the dresser has a crack that you can see in the third photo. Gorgeous old dressing table and mirror. Guessing from 1930s.oak or maple. Been in my family for years. And was in another family for years before that. I simply have no room for it. But would keep it if I did! Measurements: 30" table top to floor 44" table across top 18" deep Mirror is 31" high(attaches to table) Condition issues shown in pictures-top shows some signs of being used and could be refinished or cleaned by buyer. This palatial mirror was made for a palazzo in northern Italy. The finish is in excellent condition with minor warps and shrinkage separations from age for antique character. See photos. Antique Art Deco Cavalier Waterfall Vanity Dressing Table with Mirror -Needs TLC
Antique vanity/dressing table. Child's size? Measures approx. 5' tall(to the top of the mirror. 4'3" wide, 18" deep. In need of some love and a refinishing. The finish appears to have already been removed some years ago or it is just that worn. I don't know for sure though. Peeling and chipped veneer in many places. Is missing the little brackets that hold the mirror to the wood backing. Also missing a piece of glass for the top center(between the drawers) Both of those items are easily replaced. Someone wrote their name on the mirror, but it does seem to come off easily when scraped, so it is not etched in there. The mirror alone on this piece is worth $40.00. This is a vintage wood vanity. I would say it is from the 20s. 30s or 40s. It has a round mirror approx 48" diameter. The mirror can be detached for transport. The mirror is not perfect, in some places the silver backing is scratched. The bottom vanity piece is 50" wide, 19" deep and 24" height from the floor. The height of the entire piece from the floor including the mirror is 64" It has 5 dovetail joint drawers. 2 on each side and one in the center. I listed this item with no returns accepted. However, if you purchase, and come to pick it up promptly, and when you see it you don't like it, we can cancel the transaction. There is so much ornamentation swags and bows. It is a kidney shape. Note the adorable little cane footrest underneath the opening. This was so that the lady didn't have to put her little feet on the cold floor! The three part mirror is adjustable, in that the sides move. Distressed painted french grey with cream carved decoration of ancanthus leaves, rosettes, bows, roses, just exquisite.ancanthus leaves etc. The pictures show the french grey color a bit lighter than it really is. For Auction we have this vintage pair of Vanities. They were purchased in the early 1900's for a large Estate here on Long Island NY. They are all original. And could use restoration, or just a good cleaning if you like the antique look. Note one is missing large mirror, both missing keys and decorative piece on top of each mirror, see photos. Antique Dressing Table with Tri-Fold Mirror / Night Stands
Hello and welcome to my auction. After my parents passed away I inherited the dressing table with tri-fold mirror pictured. Not real sure how old it is but I had the dressing table when I was a small chld. now a senior citizen) I do remember when I was a teenager my mother and aunt refinished it to this darker color. I was young and don't even know what kind of wood it is. It is a hard type wood and not pine. It has 2 drawers on each side and a little shelf in between. There are little rolling casters so it can be moved easily. The mirror is a tri fold mirror which looks like it has some haze to it. The mirrors could be replaced for not too much money. I considered taking this table apart and just using the sides with drawers as a night stand for a small bedroom. This is a beautiful Queen Anne Dressing Vanity.It is Cherry and Cherry veneer with an inlay around the drawer edges and all the inlay is tight and in very good shape.The vanity does have a few rings on the top of the small box drawers but are very faint.This is normal use wear very few imperfections for its age a few scuffs around the leg feet but nothing other than normal. The center drawer does have a dark stain on the inside from something being spilled as shown in the pictures.The mirror silvering is also in very good shape I can see no deterioration on the mirror. 1930's OOAK Harlow Collection Dressing Table. Mirror, Chair 1930's OOAK Harlow Collection Dressing Table. Mirror, Chair 1930's Dressing table. ONE of a kind. Completely restored white trimmed with Rhinestones. The mirror is 27" by 27" not including the base. From the base to the top of the mirror is 33" The Dressing table is 50" wide, 25" tall, and front to back is 18" Each drawer is 18" long and 12" wide. There are six drawers, three on each side- enough to hold all your makeup on one side and all your jewelry on the other. It is solid wood. No manufacture markings. The matching chair is white with Rhinestones. We covered the seat with white leather. The bench is 23" wide and 23" tall including the back rest. The pictures do not show how beautiful these pieces are. It will go ... morewell in any bedroom, bathroom, or fantastic store display. This beautiful dressing table and chair were redesigned in the décor of Old Hollywood, which is why we have started our Harlow Collection: grand, beautiful, and romantic. The Wall Sconce that matches is not included in this auction but you may purchase it at our current auctions. The Sconce is 32" long and 15" at it's widest point, covered with white beads and rhinestones, a wonderful accessory with the dressing table. This is the first design of our Harlow collection.
