1920-1930's Vanity Mirror Tray, Etched Glass Antique Art Nouveau Plateau Perfume
Volack Mirrored Vanity Tray. This gorgeous vanity mirror tray features a brass gallery with double-bird handles. This gallery is connected to a wide beveled glass base through four drilled holes. The wide outer glass rim is decorated with etched floral vines. The vanity tray rests on four brass ball feet and the underside still has its original green felt backing and paper label. The fabulous Art Nouveau style label declares that“ Volack mirror plate reflects quality” This label also mentions that the company was established in 1856. But there is no city or country of origin listed. This large tray measures just under 18” 45.5 cm) in length. It has a width of 11 3/8” 29 cm) and stands 1 1/8” 2.8 cm) tall at the handles. This delicate item will be carefully wrapped and double boxed to ensure safe delivery. Condition: This lovely old piece ... moreis in good condition and displays well. But does have age damage to the mirror’s silvered backing. The mirror has no chips or cracks, but it does have some small scratches from use. There is quite a lot of streaking, spotting and faint yellowing of the silvered underside of the mirror glass(see photos) In addition this silvered layer has an overall“crackled” appearance and has flaked off in a couple of places along the edges. Of course much of the mirror’s surface would be hidden from view when displayed with perfume bottles covering it on your vanity. The floral etched outer rim is in very good shape, with a few light scratches, but no cloudiness. We found five tiny nicks on the outer edges of this floral etched glass(see photos) There are also several tiny insignificant“flea bite” nibbles here and there on the outer edge, but these are not noticeable at all. The green felt backing on the underside of the tray is in very good shape, but it has one yellowed stain located near one of the feet. As with all of our auctions. Collectors Set- Family Heirloom Chest& Vanity has been in one family since the 1930's and may predate that time. Handled gently. The Thomasville Emblem can be found inside some of the drawers. The model number stamped on the back of each piece is L-553. The wood is in amazing condition and has never been refinished. Antique English Style Mahogany Dresser w Mirror (1880's-1930's) Prince of Wales
Turn of the Century English Style Dresser with Mirror w/ 5 Drawers in Solid Mahogany with Brass Pulls. The dovetail construction is similar to that of reproduction style furniture manufactured in America between the 1890's-1930's. This piece has a few types of European style detailing throughout. The dresser has 5 drawers. 3 smaller drawers on the top row and 2 large drawers below. The top 3 drawers have working locks but we received the dresser without the matching key. The brass pulls on all the drawers are Prince of Wales Ostrich Feather motifs used in English Style furniture in the 18th Century. The bottom drawer has a French Louis XV/Louis XVI style wood carvings. All the drawers are in excellent working condition(metal pin guides) with clean interiors. The bottom 2 drawers are the largest in size both adorned with the Prince ... moreof Wales brass pulls. Both in good working condition with clean interiors. The front legs are carved in the Edwardian Style with very little wear. And tapered legs in the rear. Side and top mahogany panels are in very good condition with very minor wear. The Louis XV style molding on the sides near the top are very similar to details used in English Style furniture in the 18th Century. The top of the mirror has a gallery style backing with an oval shaped beaded wood pattern and is finished in the center with another wood carved Prince of Wales Ostrich Feather motif. For the age this piece is in excellent condition with exquisite detailing. The dresser also offers lots of storage and will be a great piece to put in any bedroom. 1930's Antique Vanity Dresser Hand Painted Annie Sloan Desk
Antique 1930's double topped box vanity. She was painted in my own hand-mixed decorative paint in shades of cream and indigo blue. She was then hand waxed with Annie Sloan Dark Wax. Which is a premium furniture wax. Set on her original wooden casters(although she is missing one, but it does not affect her functionality) Original hardware and original wooden appliques. This is such a gorgeous piece. This piece can be used as a Desk, a TV Console, a Server, or a Vanity. 49 inches wide, 28 inches tall from counter to floor(top boxes add 5 additional inches) and 20 inches deep. She's very old and has had some veneer issues. Veneer was pulled off where it was loose. Then sanded down and painted over, but you can still see slightly where veneer meets the natural wood, but I think it gives this piece character. Drawers all function. An American walnut and mahogany chest of drawers; approximately 1935-1940. With banded and inlaid with stringing done in a chippendale style. The dresser measures 48 high x 20 deep x 36.5 long. Antique oak 5 drawer dresser with mirror arts & crafts 1900-1930 LOCAL PICK UP
5 drawer oak dresser early 1900's raised shelf upside down heart cut outs in the mirror brackets beveled swivel mirror wooden wheeled feet floor to dresser top 31" wide 41.5" deep 18.5" height including mirror 64" This dresser is in very good condition overall. The mirror is in great shape. There is a crack on the top surface that will not impact the usability. There is slight damage to the corners of the right top of the mirror frame, the bottom left of the mirror frame and the front left of the dresser top, the left post that holds the top portion of the dresser in place is missing but the hole is not visible when the dresser top is in place, one of the drawer handles does not match exactly the others but it is very hard to tell and somewhere along the line a portion of board was replaced but it can only be seen ... moreby removing the drawers. Pretty dresser that I picked up from an estate sale for a man that was the organist at the Fox Theater in Oakland. Ca. It is in great vintage condition. There are some minor discoloration in the marble and two small holes where a mirror probably sat. The wood is in good condition for its age. One of the keyholes is missing the wood plug(probably removed due to a loss of the key) This piece has served me well but I purchased a different one. Buyer will need to move the dresser from a 2nd story apartment. The marble top can be removed but it's heavy. Wood part is light. Please do not bid if you do not have the means to move it. Antique English Vanity Dresser Cherrywood, Circa 1930's-40's
1930’s– 1940’s Dresser Vanity This dresser/vanity belonged to my grandmother. I have been using this myself until recently downsizing and redecorating. The finish is the original. I am not sure of the wood description. I think it is either mahogany or cherry wood. The vanity is a 7 drawer. Silverback swivel mirror, never broken. Again you can look at the pictures. I would say that it is in pretty good shape to be this old. The width of this vanity is 47 ½ inches. The vanity height is 29 inches. The depth is 19 ½“ The height of the vanity, mirror and all is 71 inches The joints of the drawers are tongue and groove and slide freely.
