This is a very unique(and adjustable) lamp and has"Hubbell" on the switch(see ... morepicture) This item stands about 7" tall without the shade or bulb and around 10" with bulb and shade(came with a 25 watt bulb which is not included) and weighs a bit under two pounds. To my surprise this lamp is adjustable in heigh t. The metal base unscrews to make this lamp go from 7" up to about 9 1/2" 12 1/2" with shade and bulb) This piece shows great patina throughout and is being left to next buyer as to how much cleaning is to be done. The wiring on this lamp is definitely older and may need to be redone. As you can see from one of the pictures it does(or at least did) work when I carefully and cautiously tested it! I cannot guarantee that it will continue to work without rewiring. That being said I am including pictures to show the plug and socket wires. Some fraying of the cloth cover is evident at both ends. I would rather err on the side of being cautious but the rest of the cord seems to be in fairly good shape. No tape jobs or cuts. The"HUBBELL" switch seems to turn nicely and has great on/ off clicks. The shade(which is non metallic) sort of snaps around the bulb. Pictures will show this mechanism on the inside of the shade. I am not sure of the age of this lamp. But I knew it was something different and unique when I saw and obtained it. Hopefully you will too and give it a good home. A very nice Victorian era oak bent wood stick and ball vanity. Dressing, or decor two panel screen. This wonderful C1890's folding style screen still has its original varnish finish-which is in very fine condtion. All of the metal connectors, washers, and screws are solid brass. Many of the connectors are stamped with the folowing: Pat. Feb. 16'92(1892) This vanity or bedroom screen is in exceptional condition. No broken, missing, or damaged sticks, balls, or spindles. No cracks in the bentwood sections. The metal rods that hold the cloth for the panels appear to be all original. They have a round metal ball on each end that fits perfectly into a round hole on the vertical oak dowels. The screen can be positioned at almost any angle, and folds neatly in half if desired. This is a stunning antique Oak dresser I bought about 30 years ago and have treasured ever since. Solid Oak. It has very unique grape and leaf handles which I had never seen before nor since. The drawers are held together with the most unique dowel type system using no nails. Please see the pictures as I have tried to show every detail. Has some markings which come from being well over a hundred years old but nothing to detract from it's beauty. I especially like the door with the Red Cross symbol. It has Initial Office of First Aid Outfit painted on it. There are ventilation holes at the top and bottom of the cabinet. Some of the silver is lightly worn on the mirror which gives it that vintage charm I so love. The original finish is in excellent ... morevintage aged condition. There is a split in one section of the wooden towel bar which is not usual for it vintage age and usage. It can be hung with the two round hooks at the top. It is very heavy so use wall anchors with your screws to safely secure it to the wall. The wood backing on the inside that covers the mirror has a couple of gouges in the wood. You could remove the backing and replace the mirror with glass if you wanted to use it as a display case. I purchased this charming antique medicine cabinet from an antique store in 1983. I haven’t seen another one like this one since. I filled it with vintage toiletries and hung it in my powder room. Everyone always complimented me on this beautiful piece. I have recently remodeled. Antique "OAK" Chiffonier Dresser (Stamped 2340)
Up for sale is a"OAK" Antique Chiffonier. There is a painted on stamp on the back slat board that says: CHIFFONIER 2340. I tryed to research it but didn't have any luck as to it's origin. The Chiffonier looks like it is all original except for the clear coat that was wiped on the wood to preserve it. Overall the wood oak grain looks to be in very good condition for it's age. By no means is the Chiffonier perfect. But out of a scale of 1-10 it is a 7 in my opinion. I compared this Chiffonier to others that have sold on Ebay for over $500 and they weren't half as nice as this one. A small decorative piece broke free as you can see in the last couple of pictures but it could easily be wood glued back on.
