Antique American Miniature Chest of Drawers Hand Painted Decoration Early Doll
This middle 19th century chest is crafted of ash and walnut with thin pine wood backing and square nail construction. It measures 12 ¼” tall x 13 ¼” wide x 7 ½” deep and has lovely turned walnut knobs and lively side cuts at the base. The top and drawer faces feature red striped edges framing free-hand floral decoration in red and green under an original layer of golden varnish. The drawer fronts are excellent; the top has a split along the back edge. Round water marks and wear to the paint. This chest is fresh from a northern Indiana estate and has un-touched dirty surface. I don’t think the surface has been enhanced since the 1800s but you will note numerous round, wire nail repairs along the back rabbet into which the back slips with some splits and wood loss. These don’t affect the integrity of the piece particularly, but ... moreare worth noting. One of the drawers grabs a bit when opening and closing, the others work nicely. This design is continued across the drawers fronts as is the design from the top canopy. The piece sits on four very chunky refectory style legs complete with classic peg detail. Antique Child's Dresser Hand Made Early Painted Piece Mirror 4 Drawers Chippy
Primitive Antique Child's Dresser Great little Mirrored Dresser. Originally purchased at the Brimfield Antique Show in MA. This is a great little chippy piece. Do not know the history, my guess it was a hand made piece by someone with very good wood working skill. There is a nice carved pediment across the top over an early mirror. Turned columns on the sides of the mirror and nice decorative trim around the mirror. There are two shallow wide drawers and two square deeper drawers on the bottom. As you can see in the pictures one of the drawer bottoms was made from a wood crate and one of the sides also shows the imprint of a wood crate under the paint(see last picture) There are old metal wheels on the bottom. In good solid antique condition. The paint is worn and chipped, there is wear to the mirror with some silver loss, on the side ... morewhere the imprint of the crate can be seen there is a break to the trim wood on the back corner. On the old wood backing it looks like there is an old water mark. It has seen years of use. Still a great primitive chippy piece that could be left as is, or repainted for a bright clean finish. The top piece with the columns and the mirror is held on with screws and can be removed to cut down on shipping cost. Dresser measures 31" tall. 19" wide and about 12" deep. This is a very old mahogany chest of drawers. Edwardian style, the 1920's era; hand painted in black, distressed portion is stained mahogany to give it a finished look, finished with a citrus paste wax. The upper chest has a back splash that was kept the original mahogany wood with the inset in black. All the drawers are dove-tailed. The brass keyholes are original but do not lock. Its scalloped apron and block-turned legs and stretchers were adapted from an illustration in a Wallace Nutting book on American antiques. 1930's Antique Vanity Dresser Hand Painted Annie Sloan Desk
Antique 1930's double topped box vanity. She was painted in my own hand-mixed decorative paint in shades of cream and indigo blue. She was then hand waxed with Annie Sloan Dark Wax. Which is a premium furniture wax. Set on her original wooden casters(although she is missing one, but it does not affect her functionality) Original hardware and original wooden appliques. This is such a gorgeous piece. This piece can be used as a Desk, a TV Console, a Server, or a Vanity. 49 inches wide, 28 inches tall from counter to floor(top boxes add 5 additional inches) and 20 inches deep. She's very old and has had some veneer issues. Veneer was pulled off where it was loose. Then sanded down and painted over, but you can still see slightly where veneer meets the natural wood, but I think it gives this piece character. Drawers all function. Antique Vintage Hand Painted Dollhouse Dresser Chest of Drawers Floral
Up for auction is a very pretty dresser with hand painted flowers. Paint has a chalky look to it(no varnish. The sides and back are blue. While the drawers and top are cream colored with pink and red roses, blue flowers, and orange and yellow flowers. It has a shabby feel to it. Size: 4-5/8" tall X 7-3/4" wide X 3" deep Condition: The chest is in good condition but there is a lot of paint loss. Most noticeably on the front of the drawers. Please look at all pictures. Truly Charming! Unique. Vintage rustic folk art heart-shaped tilted table top beveled mirror. in a hand-painted oak frame featuring two girls at the bottom of the frame. Circa 1930s- 1940s. The girls are wearing red. Blue/green& yellow folk country costumes. The oak is painted a golden-yellow color with blue/green trim. Two lovely brass rosettes hold the mirror to its frame. Mirror has some loss of its silver backing around the rim and has some lightly faded spots. Numbers engraved on the bottom read: 3182 5680. The mirror measures 14" tall and 15" wide. Hand Painted Vintage 4 Drawer Dresser
This gorgeous large 4 drawer vintage dresser has been hand painted using a unique multi step process. It has a beautiful textured. Yet smooth, surface. It's painted in very neutral colors that would look good in any decor. The bottom two drawers are very roomy, one with a divider inside. It would provide lots of storage! It is a very solid and well made piece of furniture probably dating somewhere between 1920 and 1930. Vintage mahogany Maddox Dresser hall chest. Hand painted with Asian influence. Good condition for age. Some scratching on right foot and a couple on the right side of dresser. Overall. In very good condition. Measures approx. 30 in tall. 30 in wide and 19 inches deep. Asian boating scene has raised design and painted. Dove tailing as photographed and has original Maddox of Jamestown. NY sticker on back of dresser. This was from a local estate. Great piece of quality. Antique furniture.
