On the base is stamped"Hand engraved" made in England" and"Silver plated" The teapot also has the number 752 stamped on the base the coffee pot has the number 282 stamped on the base. I cant see any dents or scratchs on any of the pieces T hey do need a good clean though I didnt w ant to do it in case I damaged it The Galleried Tray is not part of the set but is a very nice piece which suits the tea set well. It is very heav e ley decorated with a scroll fillgeree design with a cartouche blank in the centre- where I presume an engraving would go(of house/name initials? This late Victorian silverplated set is marked with the design number 1938. The gorgeous design features bold florals in deep relief and reeded curved handles. The creamer has a parcel gilt interior, the sugar has no gold wash on the interior. Both pieces stand 5 1/8” 13 cm) tall at the handles. This pair has no monogram or inscription. These two are in very good condition. With no dents, breaks, or repairs. Both pieces have minor wear on the outer top rim, lower edge, handles, and on the high-point edges of the busy design. The interior of the sugar bowl has lots of utensil scratches and tiny gouges. The interior of the cream jug has fewer scratches, but it ... moredoes have a few tiny pits. They have some dents but display nicely. Flower etching are very detailed and quite stunning in my opinion. Quadruplate stamped on the bottom along with102. Quadruplate is a process were the amount of silver used is 4 times normal. 8 troy oz per 144 teaspoons as opposed to 2 troy oz per 144 teaspoons what ever that means. Marked with a web with a center W, the number 677 and quadruple plate on the bottom. Th is is not perfect. It needs additional cleaning but responded well to the cleaning done with just a cloth so far. There are tiny dents o n the bottom edge of this piece when closing examined. Ornate 19th Century Silver Plate Ornate 19th Century Silver Plate. Large and ornate late Victorian creamer and sugar bowl in the Aesthetic Movement style. This pair was made by The Meriden Britannia Co. of Meriden. Connecticut and date from the 1870’s-1890’s. They are style number 1919 which features repousse foliate decorations in a diagonal banner across the sides of each piece. These two have no monograms or inscriptions and their interiors are parcel gilt. The sugar bowl may have had a lid originally but it does not have one now. Measured at the handles. The sugar stands 7 1/8” 18 cm) tall, and the cream pitcher is 7 3/8” 18.8 cm) tall. Condition: This pair is in fair condition. As it has quite a bit of wear to the silver layer. There are no breaks or repairs and the only dent we found was on the top rim on one side of the creamer(see ... morephoto) Both pieces have many surface scratches. The gilt inner surfaces have worn some over the years and the gold is now paler than it was originally. The interior of the sugar bowl has pitting as one would expect to find on a piece that was used as a planter at one time. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN 5&3/4" SYRUP I don't know the maker on this piece. It is in good condition. The plate is very good. Not worn off with exception to the spot I showed on the very bottom. Pretty floral and scroll pattern with a wicker covered metal handle. The wicker is in fine shape. No cracking. The hinged cover fits nice and snug with no issues. The only issue is there is a slight impression to the right of the cartouche(spot where there would have been monograms) You can barely notice it as you can see in the photo. Description This is a sugar bowl made the St Louis Silver Co. which was in business from 1893-1912. Printed quadruple 506. Since it is over 100 years old. It looks like most of the silver has been polished off. 3 3/4" tall x about 4 1/4" diameter. With the handles about 6 1/2" wide x 4" tall. The top opening is 3 1/8" diameter. Large for a sugar bowl. The design is really great on this bowl. The front and back look like the design is etched. The design on the trim around the top and the handles are raised. The front has a small dent that is barely noticeable. And the back has bigger dent(pictured) I usually don't purchase dented items. But this is a really interesting and rare piece. Three(3) unusual mid-Victorian Silverplate pieces from Rogers. Smith& Co. We are pleased to present this set of three(3) unusual mid-Victorian Silverplate pieces for your consideration. They were manufactured by Rogers. Smith& Co. and we date them to circa 1862. All have extensive hand chased decorations with a band of greek inspired imagery in relief near the top. The bases have four feet. With a raised ball in the center, suggesting perhaps the base of a futuristic Victorian steampunk rocketship! All of the pieces are marked ROGERS. SMITH& CO. Although some portions of the markings on the bottom of the feet have worn off. All are marked with the pattern number 1899. All have a monogram that looks like"G" You will receive the following pieces(as shown in the first picture. From left to right) Creamer. It measures 7 ... moreinches high and weighs 1 pound 2 ounces. Quite good shape overall. With some minor faults. The rim has some slight nicks, but they feel soft, not sharp, to the touch. There are some areas of tarnish, especially on the feet at the bottom. There are a few scratches on the inside surface near the rim. The interior is clean, with a few patches of tarnish. The exterior is shiny towards the top, but has the appearance of fine pitting, despite feeling smooth, as you move down the side to just above the base. There are no dents or bumps. We rate the overall condition as very good. Waste Bowl. It measures 7 inches high and weighs 1 pound 10 ounces. The exterior has moderate tarnish with areas of dried silver polish. The interior has quite a bit of tarnish near the rim. With some soil and dried polish, and would benefit from further cleaning and polishing. Like the Creamer, this piece has shinier areas near the rim, with more of a finely pitted look moving down towards the base, but again with a smooth feel. Yet simple, design with graceful handles and lid, probably from around 1900, but not dated. 6 ½” tall and 6 ½” from the tips of the handles. The base is a little over 3 ½” It does not sit level– teeters slightly- and I don’t know why as there are no dents on the base. A few tiny nicks on the bowl, but hardly noticeable. Needs to be polished if you like shiny things. I used it for flowers and it always looked lovely in the middle of my dinner table. Questions gladly answered. Sold as is.
