1880's Antique Child's/Doll Salesman Sample Dresser W/Framed Mirror.Excellent!
This is a miniature or salesman sample of a dresser that is probably from the 1880's. It is well made from oak. It measures 16" tall. 10" wide and 6" deep. It has 3 drawers that have dovetail construction.There is a swivel mirror 5.5"x 6" in a fluted frame. The top of the frame has wooden dowels in the corners. It is in perfect condition with no marks. Chips or problems that I can see. One drawer inside has a crack but no separation. On the bottom drawer is a sticker with copperplate writing that says'Doll's bureau. Belonged& used by the four Lundberg girls. Now on 9/13/75 probably about 88 years old. Given to Peggy for her birthday 9/30/75" Perfect for dolls or bears. Doll not included. Painted pine with original brass pulls. The only thing that doesn't look original are the 2 pieces of wood that holds the mirror. The top drawer is convex in shape. Measures-to the top of the mirror 26-1/8 inches-to the top of the dresser 14 inches-depth 6-1/2 inches-width 14-3/4 inches. Actual mirror size-5-1/4 inches by 7-1/4 inches. Vintage Chest of Drawers with Ornate Framed Beveled Mirror. The size is approximately 73 1/4" tall x 36" wide x 19 1/4" deep with the mirror. There are 3 full length drawers with 2 half length drawers below and a door on the bottom right. It has a dark reddish brown finish. Possibly mahogany? There is a waved front on the drawers. The mirror frame has a yoke attached to the chest and could be removed if desired. The mirror is beveled and in good shape. The frame around the mirror is very ornate with a shell in the center with carved features. It has all of the handles. It is a wire type handles on the drawers and a knob on the door. This is a match to a dresser in our listing that is being sold separately.
