Bed: This beautiful high back bed measures a total height to the top of the head-board is 80 inches( 6 ft 8 in) Height of the foot-board measures 31 inches, height to the flat portion of the fancy side rails measures 15 inches. The outside measurements of the bed are 57 1/2 inches wide by 79 1/2 inches long and the inside mattress area measures 54 1/2 inches wide by 75 inches long and should accommodate a full size mattress set nicely but one should always measure their mattress set to assure proper fit. The total weight of this bed is approximately 150 lbs(dis-assembles into four pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving) This bed is very solid and sturdy and has an impressive presence. Dresser: The matching tall marble top dresser measures 85 inches in total height from the floor to the top of the mirror. 44 1/2 inches wide, 20 1/2 inches deep, height from the floor to the top of the marble base is 30 inches and this dresser weighs approximately 165 lbs. VTG 3 pc 50'S Black Art Deco Wood Bedroom Furniture Set Chest Dresser Mirror I remember these pieces in my aunt's bedroom many years ago. Pretty sure they are from the 50's. She always had"modern" taste back then. No idea who the manufacturer was but back of the dresser reads"WMB 8862 8864 T. DR. and then"90 Blue Mink" Pieces are heavy and seem to be made of oak. The grain is visible with a shiny black stain on it. Which sort of gives it a blackish, blue color. The handles are gold metal, but not sure what kind. There is a routing line around several drawers that are filled in with a gold finish. It has been used so there are some nicks here and there, but she was pretty careful with her things because at that time they needed to last a life time. Both pieces are slightly more narrow at the top and then get wider at the bottom-pretty neat with interesting lines, modern lines. Legs are attached at an angle. Drawers are dovetailed and made of what I think is oak. Description: Chest-45" tall; 20" deep; 40" long with 5 drawers- Note on the back there is a surface nick on one leg. But does not impact the piece. Dresser-32" tall; 60" long; 21" deep with 3 sets of 3 drawers(the 3 large ones are in the center) Mirror attaches to the top with screws in the back. Mirror-50 1/2" long by 33" tall(including 1 3/4" wood piece at bottom) Beveled(some clouding& some slight silver loss typical for it's age) Attached to wood which then sits on top of the dresser and bolted to 3 pieces of wood in the back. PLEASE NOTE THE GOLD TOPS AT THE TOP OF THE MIRROR. I have kept these pieces for several years hoping to use them. But after retiring find that I am definitely downsizing. What a beautiful set you've found! It’s a neo-classical high-quality mahogany five-piece bedroom set by the Northern Furniture Company of Sheboygan. Wisconsin, dating from the 1930s or‘40s. If this was period neo-classical, you’d be looking at paying in the high thousands, but this is a very unique copy, complete with the ebonized pillars, the simulated brass ormolu trim, and the diamond point ebony inlay, with brass ormolu style stars. A hard. Close-grained wood, mahogany can be strikingly veined or mottled, as observed in these pieces. The set consists of a four-drawer tall chest. Two single beds, a matching three-drawer chest, and a matching mirror. All finished in a dark reddish-brown color, with two glass tops, and the whole set is all ready to find a place in your home. The set retains the feel of its original neo-classical style ... morehardware. The gilding and black ebonized paint is intact. It’s really stunning. The overall sizes of the pieces, beginning with the tall chest, are 36 inches wide, 21 inches deep, and 46 inches high. It has the brass ormolu style trim across the top of the picture-frame molded top drawer, and the bottom three drawers are gold stenciled, and all drawers are dovetailed. The pillars are all intact, and there is a little gold star is down at the base of the French ogee foot and also has ormolu trim. The next items are two single beds with a highly unusual design(photos below. It features the brass ormolu style trim across the footboard and headboard. The overall size is. 1920s Waterfall Bedroom Set w/ Burle Inlays: Armoire, Dresser, Nightstand, Chair
This is an amazingly beautiful waterfall bedroom set from I believe the 1920's. The original owner was a jeweler that bought it for he and his wife when they were married. Set includes vanity with matching chair. Nightstand, and armoire/ dresser(right side is drawers. Left side is cabinet with bar for hanging clothes) Most of the original hardware is present. With the exception of some missing bakelite on the nightstand. The oval burlwood inlays are stunning. Complete matching tiled mirror details on the armoire and vanity. Which I've never personally seen on any other pieces. Vanity mirror and mirror on inside of armoire door have matching engraving details. This set is absolutely stunning in person! Art Deco 40s Waterfall style Dresser Vanity with Mirror add to your bedroom set
Gorgeous! True vintage piece- awesome Art Deco"Waterfall" style Warm brown with a slight cherry reddish tone Tiger maple look grain in the wood(I'm no expert on the wood types- see the pics! 4 drawers. Original mirror, shelf areas in the middle Measures 44" wide. 19" deep, 28.25" tall plus mirror(62.75" tall including mirror) The mirror is 36" wide including the wood frame. And it comes apart from the base for easy moving. No chips or cracks in the wood. Lovely finish. With no water stains or scratches! Wow. The mirror is also true vintage. So it does have slight wear in a couple spots(meaning black or brown spots where the mirror"silvering" is gone) typical for an old mirror. But no chips or cracks or crazing. It is in excellent condition(sorry for the streaks on the mirror- we forgot to windex ... moreit again before taking the photos! Clean drawers. Gold toned hardware The outer sides of the dresser seem to have had veneer originally. But it was probably chipped, so it seems to have been removed and the wood underneath was stained to match the dresser. It's common for vintage veneers to chip, so that's probably what happened. It's not noticeable that it should have been there- see pics- but we thought we'd mention it, as we try to mention all so-called"imperfections" Also. As you can see in the photos, there is more than one kind of wood used on this piece, making for lots of personality. The darker"tiger-like" wood on the drawer fronts is very beautiful!
