This bedroom was set was purchased at an antique store in Eureka. California for $3,500 about 8 years ago. Made by Morris Furniture Manufacturing Company, Los Angeles. It includes: Nightstand. 16 in wide x 13 in deep x 27 in tall- Vanity. 48.5 in wide x 18.5 in deep x 30 in tall without mirror, or 65 in tall with mirror attached- Stool with original upholstery underneath a layer of modern fabrics. 22 in wide x 12 in deep x 17.5 in tall- Dresser with five drawers. 32 in wide x 19.5 in deep x 49 in tall The set will require some polish. There are only two pieces of the original glass left(on the sides of the vanity) and the hardware is not original. There are some watermarks on the top of the nightstand. All in all the set is in good shape and is very lovely. The construction is fantastic.

VTG 3 pc 50'S Black Art Deco Wood Bedroom Furniture Set Chest Dresser Mirror I remember these pieces in my aunt's bedroom many years ago. Pretty sure they are from the 50's. She always had"modern" taste back then. No idea who the manufacturer was but back of the dresser reads"WMB 8862 8864 T. DR. and then"90 Blue Mink" Pieces are heavy and seem to be made of oak. The grain is visible with a shiny black stain on it. Which sort of gives it a blackish, blue color. The handles are gold metal, but not sure what kind. There is a routing line around several drawers that are filled in with a gold finish. It has been used so there are some nicks here and there, but she was pretty careful with her things because at that time they needed to last a life time. There is s faint line around the top where she must have ... morehad some sort of cover over it to protect the top. Both pieces are slightly more narrow at the top and then get wider at the bottom-pretty neat with interesting lines, modern lines. Legs are attached at an angle. Drawers are dovetailed and made of what I think is oak. Description: Chest-45" tall; 20" deep; 40" long with 5 drawers- Note on the back there is a surface nick on one leg. But does not impact the piece. Dresser-32" tall; 60" long; 21" deep with 3 sets of 3 drawers(the 3 large ones are in the center) Mirror attaches to the top with screws in the back. Mirror-50 1/2" long by 33" tall(including 1 3/4" wood piece at bottom) Beveled(some clouding& some slight silver loss typical for it's age) Attached to wood which then sits on top of the dresser and bolted to 3 pieces of wood in the back. PLEASE NOTE THE GOLD TOPS AT THE TOP OF THE MIRROR. I have kept these pieces for several years hoping to use them. But after retiring find that I am definitely downsizing. Vintage 1930s Authentic Monterey Dresser& Nightstand. Fantastic maple finish. Four drawer dresser. Top drawer has wavy scalloped and chiseled edge. Hand forged. Dimpled iron pulls with copper finish. Hand forged iron strap detail at base with bracket feet and curved apron. Matching nightstand with single drawer and 2 shelves below. Branded with Monterey& Horseshoe on reverse. Dresser- 30" H x 42" W x 17.25"D Nightstand- 30" H x 17.25"W x 15" D Monterey Furniture by Mason Manufacturing is iconia. Distinct and highly desirable CA Rancho style. Excellent vintage condition. Structurally sound. Minor cosmetic wear- see photos. Nightstand has cosmetic wear/marks. via CircaCalifornia- Rancho Monterey furniture or also known as Monterey style furniture was created by Mason Manufacturing Company of Los Angeles ... morein 1929 and marketed by Barker Brothers. The style was rustic. Which fit the character of the Spanish Revival Architecture and Rancho style homes. The Monterey line was initiated by an interior decorator, who saw a piece in a movie set and believed that there was a need for a furniture line that accompanied the Spanish or Mission Style homes being built in the area. Frank and George Mason made the initial design sketches. In late 1929 they started the Monterey furniture line. Twenty four designs were part of the initial run. And this expanded to about 120 different pieces within four years. There were at least three different bedroom sets. Six dining room sets, sixteen different upholstery pieces, sixteen end tables, occasional and coffee tables. And four different desks and secretaries. The lumber was chiefly alder from Oregon that was run through multiple drum sanders to ease the edges and provide an antique or rustic look. The pieces were glued and laminated with a hot glue. And then finished or upholstered. The finishes were all oil stained or base-stained with asphaltum and antiqued by paraffin and rotten stone. This is an antique dresser with a beveled marble top(marble recently replaced) and candle-stands flanking the large mirror in the middle. The greatest thing about this piece is the decorative top that attaches via pegs to the top of the mirror(see pics) It has rolling wheels on the bottom. So it's easy to move around. The top can be removed from the bottom via screws on the back of the mirror. All in all. I'd say it's in good condition, but has been stored and of course needs a good cleaning. What a beautiful set you've found! It’s a neo-classical high-quality mahogany five-piece bedroom set by the Northern Furniture Company of Sheboygan. Wisconsin, dating from the 1930s or‘40s. If this was period neo-classical, you’d be looking at paying in the high thousands, but this is a very unique copy, complete with the ebonized pillars, the simulated brass ormolu trim, and the diamond point ebony inlay, with brass ormolu style stars. A hard. Close-grained wood, mahogany can be strikingly veined or mottled, as observed in these pieces. The set consists of a four-drawer tall chest. Two single beds, a matching three-drawer chest, and a matching mirror. All finished in a dark reddish-brown color, with two glass tops, and the whole set is all ready to find a place in your home. The set retains the feel of its original neo-classical style ... morehardware. The gilding and black ebonized paint is intact. It’s really stunning. The overall sizes of the pieces, beginning with the tall chest, are 36 inches wide, 21 inches deep, and 46 inches high. It has the brass ormolu style trim across the top of the picture-frame molded top drawer, and the bottom three drawers are gold stenciled, and all drawers are dovetailed. The pillars are all intact, and there is a little gold star is down at the base of the French ogee foot and also has ormolu trim. However drawer is cracking inside, but does not effect use. Mirror is spotting on top. Please see pictures. Pictures do not do justice to this piece, a must have! Here is sum history on this furniture: 1915- 1931: The era between World War I and the Great Depression was Berkey& Gay's zenith of production. Upholstering was spun off to subsidiaries like Wallace Upholstery and Grand Rapids Upholstery. So Berkey& Gay concentrated on living room and bedroom suites. Although designs ran the gamut of freely translated European and American revival styles, most tended toward larger, heavier periods like Elizabethan, William and Mary, and American Empire. ... morePieces were well constructed. A variety of woods was used. Mostly dark mahoganies and walnuts, with occasional accents of lighter woods, painted decoration, or exotic materials like turquoise. These were further darkened by the application of stains wiped around edges and carvings, to give the appearance of age. Its scalloped apron and block-turned legs and stretchers were adapted from an illustration in a Wallace Nutting book on American antiques. This is an amazingly beautiful waterfall bedroom set from I believe the 1920's. The original owner was a jeweler that bought it for he and his wife when they were married. Set includes vanity with matching chair. Nightstand, and armoire/ dresser(right side is drawers. Left side is cabinet with bar for hanging clothes) Most of the original hardware is present. With the exception of some missing bakelite on the nightstand. The oval burlwood inlays are stunning. Complete matching tiled mirror details on the armoire and vanity. Art Deco 40s Waterfall style Dresser Vanity with Mirror add to your bedroom set
Gorgeous! True vintage piece- awesome Art Deco"Waterfall" style Warm brown with a slight cherry reddish tone Tiger maple look grain in the wood(I'm no expert on the wood types- see the pics! 4 drawers. Original mirror, shelf areas in the middle Measures 44" wide. 19" deep, 28.25" tall plus mirror(62.75" tall including mirror) The mirror is 36" wide including the wood frame. And it comes apart from the base for easy moving. No chips or cracks in the wood. Lovely finish. With no water stains or scratches! Wow. The mirror is also true vintage. So it does have slight wear in a couple spots(meaning black or brown spots where the mirror"silvering" is gone) typical for an old mirror. But no chips or cracks or crazing. It is in excellent condition(sorry for the streaks on the mirror- we forgot to windex ... moreit again before taking the photos! Clean drawers. Gold toned hardware The outer sides of the dresser seem to have had veneer originally. But it was probably chipped, so it seems to have been removed and the wood underneath was stained to match the dresser. It's common for vintage veneers to chip, so that's probably what happened. It's not noticeable that it should have been there- see pics- but we thought we'd mention it, as we try to mention all so-called"imperfections" Also. As you can see in the photos, there is more than one kind of wood used on this piece, making for lots of personality. The darker"tiger-like" wood on the drawer fronts is very beautiful!
