The ... morestyle is from the 1830- 1840 period and that's when I believe this was made. There is a signature written in ink on the underside of the top. But it is very difficult to decipher(see photo below) I think the small circular inset in the table top might be a deliberate example of the maker's skill rather than a later repair, but it could be to"mend" a flaw in the wood I guess. There are several closed age related cracks to the top surface and some light scratches commensurate with its age, also a small black indentation, but they are not disfiguring and show in the photographs. With table tilted height is approx 8.70 inches, with table top flat, height is approx 5 inches and diameter is approx 7 inches. Overseas buyers are welcome with postage at cost but please wait for an invoice as the postage quoted in the listing is for UK delivery. Sorry but I am not willing to post to Italy at this time. It measures approx 22" tall including swivel mirror. 12 1/4" wide at feet, and 9" deep at feet and has 2 small drawers at top and l larger drawer at bottom. Mirror is in fine condition. The small drawers each measure approx 5 3/8" x 4" x 2 1/2" deep. The one on the right has a smaller pull than the others but it appears to have been put on at the same time. Bottom drawer measures approx 9 3/8" x 8" x 3 3/8" deep. Bottom drawer has original lock(no key) and is lined with a silver color paper which appears to be very old. Antique American Miniature Chest of Drawers Hand Painted Decoration Early Doll
This middle 19th century chest is crafted of ash and walnut with thin pine wood backing and square nail construction. It measures 12 ¼” tall x 13 ¼” wide x 7 ½” deep and has lovely turned walnut knobs and lively side cuts at the base. The top and drawer faces feature red striped edges framing free-hand floral decoration in red and green under an original layer of golden varnish. The drawer fronts are excellent; the top has a split along the back edge. Round water marks and wear to the paint. This chest is fresh from a northern Indiana estate and has un-touched dirty surface. I don’t think the surface has been enhanced since the 1800s but you will note numerous round, wire nail repairs along the back rabbet into which the back slips with some splits and wood loss. Not sure whether it is a salesman sample or a miniature collectible, but it is a very nice primitive piece. Not sure what the wood is, it is painted with old pale green paint Three drawers with original wood drawer pulls, the top pull is different, not sure if it was broken, nicely constructed with beadboard sides and empire detail. Old unfinished wood on the back, with the top third missing. The top drawer is missing its back and there is a small piece or wood trim missing on the bottom left(see pic 6) Very nice little piece in good primitive antique condition. I can only guarantee that it is over 50 yrs old as that is how long we have owned it, but I have no reason not to believe it is over 100 yrs old. It looks as good as it did when we purchased it 50 years ago and it looks like it was very well cared for prior to our owning it as well. 2 Antique Miniature Salesman Sample Dresser Chest Drawers Vanity Doll Furniture?
Up for auction are 2 Antique Miniature Dresser. With pull out drawers and mirrors. Very solidly made! I am not quite sure as to the exact origin of these piece as if it was manufactured as a piece of doll furniture or if it was to be presented as a salesman sample. I think that they where saleman samplers, because the estate sale I purchased them at there was no kids toys or kids item sold at the sale. The larger dresser measures approximately 9 3/4" tall x 6 3/4" wide x 4 3/8" deep. It is solidly constructed of a fine hardwood( looks like oak wood to me) It features a mirror, but over many years, it lossing most of it refecting material around its edges(see pictures) it features 2 pull out drawers, but the one drawer is missing 2 of it wooden knob drawer pulls( see picture) The smaller dresser measures approximately 7" ... moretall x 6 3/4" wide x 3 1/2" deep. It is also solidly constructed of a fine hardwood( that also looks like oak wood to me) It features asmaller mirror, but over many years, it lost some of it refecting material in the bottom middle area(see pictures) it features 2 pull out drawers and has all of its drawers pulles. Both are in nice condition for its age. It does exhibit some loss/ wear to their mirrors and mising 2 drawers pulls, plus a few very small specks of white paint, that are not real noticeable. A couple very neat old pieces, these dresser would look amazing in any collection or doll house. ANTIQUE MINIATURE OAK DOLL DRESSER CHEST OF DRAWERS SALESMAN SAMPLE SCROLL FRONT Beautiful miniature oak 3 drawer dresser. Most likely for a doll house but could be a salesman sample based on the quality scroll work on the drawer faces. This piece was all hand made and put together with nails. Each drawer has wonderful flowing design of acanthus leaves pressed into the face. Each drawer also has great wooden pulls. Based on the 2 holes in the back of the top this most likely had a mirror. Condition wise the is in very good shape for it's age. The drawers all ... moreslide open smooothly and fit nicely into the case. As mentioned there are two holes in the top that held a mirror which unfortunately I do not have. These could easily be filled with oak plugs or covered with a nice runner. The left side does have what appears to be a piece that started to tear out of the wood right along the grain. I think this was a flaw in the wood as the piece is only separated down about 1/2" and is solid below that and tight against the side. The nail at the bottom is not holding it on. That nail is holding the side to the rail. The top drawer bottom does have a piece that has separated but has been glued back on and is tight. The bottom drawer has piece that came off the side but this can easily be glued back on. This does have a few old worm holes in the middle drawer front and the back but no evidence any recent activity. Please see my photos for clarity and ask questions if you have any other concerns. Antique Primitive Handmade Doll/ Salesman Sample Dresser With Adjustable Tilt Mirror Wonderfully old miniature handmade doll/salesman sample dresser. Two drawers with adjustable tilt mirror. It appears to be a combination of paint and stain or just very thick stain. There are signs of brush marks in places. Rich black-brown finish. Some has chipped off, mainly around the mirror(please see last photo-mirror is covered so frame would show up) Numbers written on the inside of drawers that correspond with the openings of the dresser, assume makers marks. Beautiful little piece. Measures 18 3/4" Tall- 11 3/4" Wide and 5 1/4" Deep and weighs just over 5 pounds. Antique Childs Miniature Size Oak Wood Vanity Dresser Doll Toy 17 " tramp art
This is a child size oak dresser(17" tall and 9 1/2" wide) that was made in 1957. Signed by the one who made the little dresser. It is made of oak with a mirror, has what looks like some tramp art on the front. It has a mirror on top and on the top of the dresser is a picture of a woman that is trimmed in satin around the picture. The same color ribbon is around the front and sides of the dresser. There are 4 drawers inside. There are initials on the front. The mirror has some streaks across it and one of the drawers bottoms is made of a cigar box. Beautiful mirror attached to the dresser. Cleaned up well and viewing is 99% The convex design on the drawer fronts and wood trim front is extra fine. Great quality, two pulls are off the lower drawer, I believe easily found here on Ebay. 25 inches tall, dark oak, beautiful wood grain, 15 3/4 inches wide, 7 inches front to back. Either a Salesman Sampler or Doll furniture. Could make a great Barbie Doll storage piece or lined as a awesome Jewelry box. Each drawer interior space is 13 inches wide and 4 1/4 inches front to back and 2 1/2 inches deep. One drawer has chew from a mouse back side top, but doesn't take away anything. Very Neat Folk Art Antique Miniature 3 Drawer Chest Of Drawers&Mirror"DB 1923" American. Probably Pennsylvania Circa 1923. Found in the Ephrata, PA area. Signed"DB 1923" on the inside of the uppermost drawer. Please viwe the slideshow here: Neat little chest of drawers comprising of three nail constructed drawers with hand chamfered drawer bottoms. Resting on turned feet, and a mirror in classical empire style frame. the entire chest is washed over in a red wash stain or paint, and the drawers are outlined in a gold or yellow paint banding. the sides of the case are painted with the same yellow/gold painted banding. the drawer fronts are sold walnut, and the rest of the case is constructed of pine. 100% original condition. great original aged patina, in a warm red colour. no hurts or major damages, aside from minor ... moredings associated with 90 years of use.
