This came from England and has a metal plate on the front that says“This cabinet and its contents is the property of The Office Clean Towel Hire Co. Ltd. and is on loan to the user as custodian bailee. The oak cabinet is approx. 22 3/8” x 16” x 5 ¾” It has three shelves. The top section I used to hold Kleenex tissues. I especially like the door with the Red Cross symbol. It has Initial Office of First Aid Outfit painted on it. There are ventilation holes at the top and bottom of the cabinet. Some of the silver is lightly worn on the mirror which gives it that vintage charm I so love. The original finish is in excellent ... morevintage aged condition. There is a split in one section of the wooden towel bar which is not usual for it vintage age and usage. It can be hung with the two round hooks at the top. It is very heavy so use wall anchors with your screws to safely secure it to the wall. The wood backing on the inside that covers the mirror has a couple of gouges in the wood. You could remove the backing and replace the mirror with glass if you wanted to use it as a display case. I purchased this charming antique medicine cabinet from an antique store in 1983. I haven’t seen another one like this one since. I filled it with vintage toiletries and hung it in my powder room. Everyone always complimented me on this beautiful piece. I have recently remodeled. Antique Baumritter (pre-Ethan Allen) 6 Drawer Solid Maple Wood Dresser
I am pleased to offer this antique authentic Baumritter 6 drawer dresser. Circa 1952. And manufactured Beecher Falls, Vermont, U.S.A. it actually pre-dates Ethan Allen. This dresser is the real deal. 100% original. All solid Maple construction in a nutmeg finish with all of the original hardware. It measures 46" tall X 33 5/8" wide X 18 1/2" deep. It features beveled/rounded edging on both the top and each drawer face. This dresser was built by Baumritter New York just prior to being acquired by Ethan Allen. Of note in the styling is the elevated stance with scalloped lower/base edging. Once acquired by Ethan Allen, the CRP line continued through the 1950's with similar construction; but the pieces were produced with a flat base that sat flush upon the floor. The craftsmanship and quality of materials used on these pieces ... morewas exceptional. All 4 corners of each drawer are dovetailed. Each drawer slides using a central guide bar and groove; all of which is precise Maple wood construction. The top 2 drawers are also sectioned. Those drawers have a face width of 4 1/2" and a usable depth of 3 1/2" The lower 4 drawers are not sectioned. Each of those 4 have a usable depth of 5" This piece is absolutely authentic. The original brass Baumritter New York plaquard with company crest is still affixed to the side wall of the second drawer. In same drawer. On the floor, is literally heat branded"Made in Vermont" over"Beecher Falls" within a Maple leaf(to represent the wood and its' regional origin) Look closely at the photos and you can see the blackened/burnished patina from the heat used in branding. Furthermore. On the backside of this piece is twice stamped, Inspected" over"April 28,1952" over"Inspector No. 1" Apparently they did it twice as the first stamp was not wholly clear. Antique Highboy Dresser w Vanity Mirror Top, 6 Drawers & Wood Caster Wheels, 70"
This is an Antique Hard Wood& Paneling. Dresser with Tabletop Vanity Mirror that Swivels, 70 inches tall. Made in USA. Has 6 dovetail drawers without the key to the locks. Top drawers have original porcelain knobs. The other drawer pulls are newer reproductions. Some of the dovetail corners were glued and set with masking tape(old repair holding fine) Mirror frame has a small crack in the back that doesn't show from the front. Should be an easy repair. Siverback mirror was very blotchy and replaced with a new mirror. Dresser sides are constructed with wood panels and have some general wear. Finish is still smooth. Wheels are original wood caster and working. Back was left untouched with remnants of the original white wash paint. Estimate age is 1920's- 30's. This is about 52" tall, and 18"x18" I have no idea as to the age of this piece, most everyone on Ebay claims theirs to be old or antique. I acquired this in the last 20 years from the 100+ year old hotel in Golconda, IL. It has been known as the Riverview hotel, and in later years, the Mansion. This dresser is Art Nouveau style with rosettes on the corners and beautifully carved accents. The mirror is framed by burled veneer and sits on top of bow front style dovetail drawers with glass pull knobs. The dresser is topped with white and gray marble that has a bull nose edge on the front and sides. The left front corner of the marble is ... morechipped on the bottom side. There are no other breaks. Chips or cracks in the marble that I can see. There are some discolored spots on the marble that may polish out. The base dresser has ribbed trim on the front and paneled sides. There are 4 dovetail drawers with metal pulls. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. There are some splits in the veneer around the mirror and peeling on the front left corner of the top piece. There is a split on the right side panel of the top piece as well. There are typical nicks and dings on the wood that tops the bow front drawers. This piece is in good overall condition for its age. I do not know the maker or exact date it was made. The chest or base measures 28 5/8 inches tall, 42 inches side to side and 18 inches front to back. It weighs 70 pounds.
