Nichols & Stone began making furniture in the 1850s and finally closed up shop around 2008. They have since been reincarnated under the Stickley name and are available again in some limited forms. The chair number is 10-6040(hard to read in the photos) manufactured ... morein plant#14 in the popular nutmeg color. This is a mates chair and although it have those little stubby"arms" it is not to be confused with the actual captain's chair of this style that has much longer arms. These were produced for a number of years by Ethan Allen for a few of their lines including Traditional and Early American. There is no damage to the chair and only a few tiny dings or scratches from normal use. There is very light wear to the very tip of the top rail and tip of the"arms" All the joints are nice and tight. It is in the popular nutmeg color and the finish is very good. It has been thoroughly cleaned and polished with butchers wax. It is 29 1/2" tall with a 17" seat height. The height of those stubby"arms" is only 25 1/4" so these chairs can be tucked tightly under the apron of most tables. Leaving more floor space in a smaller dining area. As for the chair it is very comfortable due to the great formed seat work that Ethan Allen was noted for in all of their lines from this period. It is constructed of maple and built to last for generations. As always, feel free to ask any questions and I'll get right back to you. Antique Baumritter (pre-Ethan Allen) 6 Drawer Solid Maple Wood Dresser
I am pleased to offer this antique authentic Baumritter 6 drawer dresser. Circa 1952. And manufactured Beecher Falls, Vermont, U.S.A. it actually pre-dates Ethan Allen. This dresser is the real deal. 100% original. All solid Maple construction in a nutmeg finish with all of the original hardware. It measures 46" tall X 33 5/8" wide X 18 1/2" deep. It features beveled/rounded edging on both the top and each drawer face. This dresser was built by Baumritter New York just prior to being acquired by Ethan Allen. Of note in the styling is the elevated stance with scalloped lower/base edging. Once acquired by Ethan Allen, the CRP line continued through the 1950's with similar construction; but the pieces were produced with a flat base that sat flush upon the floor. The craftsmanship and quality of materials used on these pieces ... morewas exceptional. All 4 corners of each drawer are dovetailed. Each drawer slides using a central guide bar and groove; all of which is precise Maple wood construction. The top 2 drawers are also sectioned. Those drawers have a face width of 4 1/2" and a usable depth of 3 1/2" The lower 4 drawers are not sectioned. Each of those 4 have a usable depth of 5" This piece is absolutely authentic. The original brass Baumritter New York plaquard with company crest is still affixed to the side wall of the second drawer. In same drawer. On the floor, is literally heat branded"Made in Vermont" over"Beecher Falls" within a Maple leaf(to represent the wood and its' regional origin) Look closely at the photos and you can see the blackened/burnished patina from the heat used in branding. Furthermore. On the backside of this piece is twice stamped, Inspected" over"April 28,1952" over"Inspector No. 1" Apparently they did it twice as the first stamp was not wholly clear. Whitney Furniture Solid Maple Drop-leaf Side Table - Antique
This is a vintage Whitney Furniture drop-leaf side table. It is in good shape for its age. The knob on the drawer is missing and one of the wooden extenders to support the right table leaf is broken(both easy to fix) The height is 18 1/4. The width 28 1/4 with table extended& 13 1/2 not extended, the depth is 18 1/4. There are visible scuffs, scratches, and water marks in the wood. It is made from maple and is in overall good shape for its age. This table needs just a little tlc to shine in any room.

Antique Solid MAPLE Dresser- Dresser is made from multiple figured solid maple speciments. Doors and draws are made Quilted Maple with accents of Fiddleback Maple The two bottom draws are very large and deep. Above these draws are three smaller. One center and two side draws. The top portion has three center concaved curved medium draws with a cabinet on either side. The very top has on either side two flip up doors for storage of smaller items. Solid Maple and Walnut Burl Antique Dresser, Vintage Replaced Brass Pulls - NICE
Being offered from the longtime owner's heir is this excellent quality American made antique dresser in solid maple with a walnut top and burl trim. Only the brass pulls appear to be replacements. We do not see any veneer being used. Surfaces and edges show wear from normal use but no obvious signs of abuse. Drawers still pull out straight. And feels solid not wobbly. Measures 43" high x 39-1/2" wide x 24-1/2" deep. See photos zoomed for details and verify. The main body of the dresser and drawers appear solid maple. The top is walnut with a beautiful burl trim on front edge. A very masculine style that never gets old. For local pickup in Gainesville.
