Embossed Carving. Furniture factory stock. Embossing is a technique used in woodworking where pressure and heat are applied with a metal die cutter to press a design imprint into wood ply. The wood is layed up in ply sheets to prevent splitting and to hold the imprint pattern. The advantage is high detail with low cost onto a stainable wood surface. There is some minor rust on the steel. The guides seem tight and might have to be spread a bit to make them work well. The casters are about 3 3/16" high x1 3/16" round wheels. The wheels fit into a 25/64" hole and the locking liners are included. All four metal brackets seem to match. So I think this might be a set. None of the wheels are perfectly round any more; all have been used, so they are worn. One of them has a whole chunk gone, shown in picture#4. Otherwise, diameter is about 1 1/4" wide. Top to bottom is about 3 1/8" I have several listings of vintage wheels and will always combine shipping if you are interested in more than one of my listings.

Wheels for Antique Dressers Washstands Tables Anything Requiring 4 Wood Casters
Here is a nice little set of replacement casters. Made just like the old ones which were on the antique oak dressers, washstands, and all sorts of furniture of the time. The little wooden wheels are 1 and 1/4 inches in diameter, and the stem is 1 and 1/2 inches long, and the caster sleeves are just under 1 and 1/4 inches long. Regarding the caster sleeves, some of you may not need to replace this part(which is usually in your favor) as long as the casters will fit firmly in your existing sleeves. You will receive 4 casters and 4 sleeves, as shown in the photographs. These are a nice way to replace old, damaged, rusty, or simply lost ones. Beautiful antique wooden twisted spindle for furniture repair. These are lovely and made early. I unfortunately broke the table that they were attached to. They measure 20 7/8" long not including the peg. The base end of the spindle is 11/16" The top of the spindle is 3/4" I believe that they're mahogany, but can't be positive. Please examine the pictures closely, there are some glue marks, etc. that show the condition better than I can describe. Thanks for looking!
