absolutely fabulous old old old dresser with original hanging mirror! original design elements on dresser backsplash/ drawer corners and around knobs on top drawers So Cute! I changed out the original wooden knobs on the top drawers to a vintage blue milk glass ~ love the contrast the dresser had been painted all of these colors you see but I don't think they were consistent layers I sanded back most of the outer layer to expose a deeper butterscotch/ mustard color with hints of peach/ pink/ white and aqua on the mirror spindles as you can see one side is almost a solid mustard. I used French Enamel Miss Mustard Seed paint with other colors on this piece. Dresser was sealed with clear wax leaving a smooth surface. This piece was in pretty rough shape in places but those areas were left as is to add to the rustic effect of the dresser. The dresser was cleaned and sealed inside and out. There is no old smell. Drawers were finished with a natural clear minwax brightening the natural color. All drawers slide smoothly. Flourishing is hand painted to add a whimsical elegant look with the crystal antique knobs. I loved working on this long project but the end result is"just too cute" I don't mind saying so myself. CHARMING VINTAGE DRESSER WITH DETACHABLE MIRROR/ "SHABBY CHIC"
Up for auction is a great. Vintage, chest of drawers with a detachable mirror. The dresser measures 49 1/2" high. With mirror it measures 74" high. It is 34" wide and 21" deep. One picture shows a strip of the original wood. Which is under the mirror. It appears to be birds eye maple, but I don't know for sure. The mirror is beveled with some age to it. Which adds to its charm. Note the dovetail joints in the drawers. There are wooden casters on the legs. Please email with any questions or if you would like more pictures. Thanks for looking. Vintage, antique Wooden Vanity, shabby Victorian Cottage Style~
This is a really neat old piece of furniture. The base is very sturdy. Measures 44" wide, 18" deep and 28" tall. The mirror is removable. The drawers pull nicely. I bought this approx 10 years ago and painted it. It has a paint rub on the top and a quarter sized chip on the side, see pictures. The mirror is in good shape but does have chipping to the silvering on the back. Also, some rubs to the front of the mirror. Please see pictures. Sold as is. Antique Vintage Chippy Chest of Drawers/Cabinet Shabby & Chic
Antique chest of drawers with beautiful painted flowers. Very cottage and shabby chic. I have used this chest in my living room and bedroom as it makes a wonderful centerpiece and great storage. I believe this to be from the 1940’s. It has a swivel mirror which can be removed from the top or remain attached. There are 2 smaller side by side drawers and 4 large drawers which have keyholes and a locking mechanism however I never had the keys for these. The chest measures 67.5 inches in height with the mirror attached and 47 inches tall without the mirror x 36 inches in width and 19 inches in depth. I purchased this wonderful piece from a seller who has had her house featured in Romantic Cottage Magazine and this was one of her personal vintage design items in her house.
