Lot includes 4 matching plus 2 matching antique brass cup/ swivel casters. One of the larger casters is locked up- both the swivel and the wheel. The larger ones have wheels that are just under 1 3/8" wide and 5/8" thick- the cups are 1 1/2" wide to the outside edges(inside is just under 1/4" wide and it tapers down) the cups are 1 1/4" tall. And the entire piece is about 2 3/4" tall. The smaller ones have wheels that are just over 1 1/8" wide and 7/16" thick- the cups are just over 1 1/4" wide to the outside edges(inside is about 1 1/8" and it tapers down) the cups are just over 1 1/8" tall, and the entire piece is about 2 7/16" tall.

Fine Ashanti Antique(circa late 1800s) Cast Bronze Gold weight. From the old private collection of the internationally celebrated artist and ardent Africanist. This is a rare. Museum quality authentic artifact(circa late 1800s) representing a King's ring with two horsemen. The item is about 2 1/2" high. Size 11 1/2-11 3/8 in excellent antique condition. Dogon art is extremely versatile. Although common stylistic characteristics– such as a tendency towards stylization– are apparent on the statues. Their art deals with the myths whose complex ensemble regulates the life of the individual. The sculptures are preserved in innumerable sites of worship, personal or family altars, altars for rain, altars to protect hunters, in market. As a general characterization of Dogon statues, one could say that they render the human body in a simplified ... moreway, reducing it to its essentials. Some are extremely elongated with emphasis on geometric forms. The subjective impression is one of immobility with a mysterious sense of a solemn gravity and serene majesty, although conveying at the same time a latent movement. Dogon sculpture recreates the hermaphroditic silhouettes of the Tellem, featuring raised arms and a thick patina made of blood and millet beer. The four Nommo couples, the mythical ancestors born of the god Amma, ornament stools, pillars or men’s meeting houses, door locks, and granary doors. Antique 20 1/2" Medina NY Cast Iron Machine Age Industrial Table Base Leg Ornate
Please use the Supersize Feature on our pictures at the top and below the description as we consider them to be a very important part of our auctions- our photos show great detail and they are about the next best thing to"being there" Here is another great looking antique cast iron table base or leg– a little bit more ornate than the standard Machine Age Industrial salvage pieces we usually offer. This stand or base stands 20 ½” tall at the top and measures 9” across the bottom of the base. The circular top measures 12” across at the outside edges and between 11 ½” and 11 ¾” across at the inside rim or shelf. One side of that inside shelf is marked SPECIAL and the opposite side is marked SIZE 11 ¾. The center post is topped with an emblem that also tightens up the bolt at the bottom– the emblem or topper is marked ... moreMEDINA. N.Y. W. IDE. Each side has a wonderful scroll work arm to support the top piece. The center post. Pole or leg has a stacked look which attaches to the domed base. I took a picture of how the top is attached with the old original screws on one side from underneath. This stand or table base needs to either have the bolt or screw that runs up the center replaced or tightened up. There is no damage to the piece– no breaks. Cracks, or repairs. There are some areas of old original paint, and some areas of rust coloring. The bottom of the base has the most rust coloring, but there are no areas of pitting or weakness in the metal. We gave this pieces a quick going over with a hard bristle brush and nothing else. With a bit of time and elbow grease, this will be a work of art. These would make beautiful unique bookends. These were shipped to the U.S from Germany. Where they originated from before that I do not know. I found a very old looking nail in one of the other Salvaged pieces(not these) Based on that nail I would date these to late 1700's-1800's. Of course this is only my guess and I am no expert. Antique Piano Stool screw assembly, 8-1/2" tall, special locking mechanism
This auction is for a piano stool screw assembly. I don't know if it is truly unusual or not. But it is to me. This mechanism is designed so that if someone sits on it and spins it will not spin off or go down. By getting off the seat and lifting it slightly, you activate a locking feature that lets you raise and lower the stool top. When sat in, this is not engaged and it spins freely without turning the screw. It is about 8-1/2" tall. The large base that attaches to the bench is about 4" accross with four screw holes(screws not included) The shaft that goes into the base is 1-3/8" accross where round. One side is flattened a bit to lock in place. This is a really nice freely moving screw assembly with some rust showing as might be expected. ANTIQUE FINIAL DECORATIVE ORNAMENT, pair,1900's, 4 1/2" tall
I have for sale a Matching pair of Vintage/ Antique Finial Decorative Ornaments. They measure 4 1/2" tall approx. Without the screw. The base is 1 3/4" in diameter on both. Center diameter is 2 1/4" on both. One measures 1 1/4" high, the second measures 1 3/8" The top ball measures approx. 3/4' in diameter on both. Both finials are in great condition. No cracks or chips, the are a couple light scuff marks on one. Screws are tight in wood. Not loose. They have what appears to be a light red stain on both of them. Not sure type of wood. These are very old and have been in my Dads basement for Years This is one of many items listed from my parents Estate home of more than 50 years. Antique Victorian Heavily Carved Lion Head Crown Board 48 1/2" O Fin Qtrsn Oak
Up for auction is a beautiful antique Victorian heavily carved crown board. The piece is in original finish. Quartersawn oak. A lion head is at the center of the carving. It is 48 1/2" wide, 13 1/2" tall at the highest area, and 2" thick at the top. There are a couple of small paint spots. There is a missing piece of carving above the head. This is a beautiful piece, and is being sold in as found condition at a reasonable reserve. This will be shippped by Fed Ex Ground. I believe it will be too large for Parcel post shipping.
