Vtg Mid Century Modern Wood Tapered Pencil Coffee Table Legs Mounting Brackets
I found th ese table legs at an estate sale(I removed them f rom a table I purchased that was from the 1950s) They had a couple layers of paint on them(not original) s o I stripped them to the wood(they could use a little more sanding before staining) The metal end caps were al so painted so I sanded them down. T he tip ends still s how a little rust. Two of these sl ip off easily and the other two will come off with a tug. I didn't want to glue or tack these on so that the new owner can slip them off to stain the legs and repaint the tips too. The top ends have the mounting screws( a litt le rust. But very st urdy) and the mo unting brackets are also included. The brackets had some paint and rust which I attemp ted to sand off some to show they are still solid and sturdy. There is still quite a bit of rust on the back. But that will ... morebe underneath and wont show. These are the brackets that will give an outward tilt to the legs. Not just straight up and down mount. These are definately vintage legs, not reproductions, and are solid wood! There are a few dents and still a little paint do wn in the grain in some are as. Not perfect. But good solid legs! these measure about 13.25" end to end not including the mounting screw. The bracket will add another 3/8-1/2" the y are about 1 3/8" wide at the top and taper to about 5/8" these will cost me at least $10-12 to ship. I a m offering f ree shipping. But just so you know. Five legs salvaged from an old table perhaps…from a local auction… they could be yours today. Lots of possibilities. They look to be in original condition with a dark patina. Really nice carved design of what appears to be flowers and vines. Just unique. Four of the legs measure just about 35 ½” and have a curve about three quarters of the way down the leg. The other leg is about 27 ½” and looks like maybe the top was broken off at some point. Four 29" Victorian table legs never used and not completely finished as you can see in the photos. They are about 2 1/2" by 2 1/2" on the top and 2" by 2" on the bottom. I got them from a master craftsman who is in his late 80's and was forced to down size to a smaller shop and was getting rid of extra pieces he saved over the years for patterns etc.

SPINDLE ASSORTED WOOD LEGS, 23-28 inches long, three finishes, LOT of 8, VINTAGE
LOT of 8 vintage spindles. Lengths from 23 inches to 28 inches long. Three are from probably 1900 tables& weathered. Three are unused vintage made and unfinished and appear to never have been installed, and two are stained brown tone, probably about 1940, and these appear to have been used on a table possibly, but in very good condition. Majority of the spindles were probably hand made with machine use only for shaping, if that. Three vintage weathered 1900 legs are 28 inches each in lenght and the bases run 2 1/4 inch to 2 3/4 inch across. Three unfinished unused vintage spindles are 23 inches long with 2 1/4 inch bases each. Two brown tone spindles are 25 inches long each and have 2 3/8 inch bases. The weathered 1900 legs have some wear at the tops- please review photos. The two brown tone spindles have dowel holes on one or two sides ... moreof each- again review the photos.
