This ice box has over 20 hand carved pieces on the two front doors, nice detailed lion head carvings and two large paw feet. All of these carvings were hand made by highly skill woodworkers in the 1890's. The columns on the sides are really nice oak rope carvings that are below each lion head and extends down to the top of each paw foot. Which is consistent with the label on the back from the"Ackerman Drug Store"price $2.75! This store operated in Yreka, CA during this time period. Size is 18 1/4" X 8" No scratches or dents. The cardboard covering on the back is warped on one end.
