This piece stands 30 inches tall~ approx 2 ... more1/2 feet. 22 3/4 inches across the top/ square. The bottom shelf. At the narrowest point, measures 15 inches across square. The glass balls in the feet measure 3 inches across and the legs. At the widest point, about half way up, measures 3 1/4 inches across. This table is not marked. Signed, dated, stamped or otherwise labeled. There is a small dark stain to the table top that measures approx 4inches by 2 inches. A darker spot next to that as well but not sure what that spot is. Both can be seen in the last picture. There are no major chips. Cracks or other issues to any part of the wood. It is possible this is a Louis F Nonnast table made between 1878-1888. I do not know much about this size. Style or age. If you have any information that may be helpful to identifying this piece. I would very much appreciate dropping me a line or two. Local Pick Up is best for this large. Beautiful and well taken care of item. It worries me to ship it as I have seen very few table such as this. However. The way this is constructed, it appears it can be taken apart ~ legs removed and lower shelf removed, for possible shipping. Because of its size and weight. I bought it from a sweet older couple from New York who now live in Palm Harbor, FL. The husband explained that it was his Grandmother's first then his mother had it. He said his Grandmother got it around the time she was married and he couldn't remember if it was 1897 or 1898. The condition is superior. It has been well cared for for 115 years by the same family. The oak grain is beautiful and the only flaws are: on the bottom of one of the round feet. Someone cut off a section of the very bottom so that it would fit closely next to something.however, it still is level because they cut off only a section, not the entire tip(please see the last pic) The other flaw is that there is a hair line split on the top where the wood has a miniscule separation. I had to inspect closely to find this. This table requires no restoration whatsoever. Has beautiful detail in the grain. Measurements are as follows: Oval Top is 32.75" long x 18" wide 27" tall from floor to top middle decorative shelf is 7.25" wide x 16" long with scrolling lower 2 round shelves are 10.5" in diameter. This is a very stunning Vanity Dresser in impeccably restored condition. The long beveled mirror in center swivels. The oval beveled mirrors on each side swivel inward(back sides are finished) all mirrors have been re-silvered. A piece of veneer on the top right about 2" by 1-1/2" has been replaced(see photo) and there is an area on bottom of oval mirror on the right measuring about 1" by 1" that has been filled, see photo) It has ornate claw feet on legs as well as on each support under the mirror. Arts & Crafts Vanity with Triple Mirror. Quarter Sawn Oak.
This is an incredibly sweet vanity made of quarter sawn oak(tiger oak) With fantastic hardware made of brass and bakelite(see pics) It is a very old piece, I'd say late l800s, but it has been restored to a beautiful condition, the mirror repaired, and the finish redone. Very sturdy, drawers travel smoothly, legs are amazing. And the wood is simply gorgeous, with stripes and curly lines everywhere. Would also make a great desk. 29 1/2" tall x 36" wide x 20" deep. For shipping. I recommend TSC Movers or uship. Give them 01096 as the origination point, no stairs. This is a beautiful quarter-sawn oak dresser with four drawers and mirror. Age is unknown. But the unusual dovetail joints should hold a clue. Carved design at bottom of mirror, at dresser bottom and around each drawer front. Dresser measures 19" x 42" and is 31" high at the top of the dresser, 59" at the top of the mirror. Mirror has beveled edges. The silvering behind the bevels appears to be damaged: appears scratched. Paneled ends. Dust separators are in good condition. Dresser appears to have been re-finished. I think this is the best quarter sawn oak vanity or dresser I have ever offered for sale. Butterfly' wing mirrors on each side which are adjustable. This style is sometimes referred to as a Jean Harlow dresser. Super pretty quartered oak with carving on top. Center, under the mirrors, and the center drawer. Heavy carved claw feet, drawers have original brass pulls. Note that the bottom large drawer has three drawers above it; the two with pulls and the one in the center heavily carved. Quartered quarter sawn oak ladies vanity and caned chair-----14965
This is a really excellent quartered quarter sawn oak ladies dressing vanity and chair. Vanity has a single drawer with beading on the base and original brass pull. An oval beveled mirror is in excellent condition. Mirror is adjustable and operates properly. The chair has a caned seat in excellent condition and a pretty carved back. Both pieces have been refinished and are in excellent condition with a smooth and even finish. Vanity is 28 wide. 18 deep, and 53 high. Chair is 16 wide, 16 deep, and 41 high. Beautiful dresser! Fabulous details. Original carving is so beautiful and ornate. Serpentine front. Lion paws feet. The piece was refinished prior to our purchasing it in the 90s. Finish is in very good condition overall. Beveled mirror. Very slight ghosting. We paid nearly $1000 in the hey day. Priced to sell! Great deal for someone who wants a quality piece of turn of the century Americana. Approximate size: 18" deep. 48" wide and 68" high. Comes from a smoke-free home. Has always been indoors and oiled. Beautiful Early 1900's Quarter Sawn Solid Oak Dresser with large beveled mirror. Lots of carved details around the mirror and great curved legs. 4 drawers. 2 over 2. Bottom drawer is missing the estucheon for the key hole, I can probably find one to replace it with, but selling with no guarantee of that; the top two drawers also no longer have the locks. There is no key. You will see in the last pic there is a scar on the top of the mirror, you won't ever see this unless you are really tall, I cannot see it when I stand in front of the piece.
