This is a very nice 20's vintage oak dresser that has been painted white with black drawer fronts. The mirror is nicely beveled and the drawers have quality dovetail construction that slide easily. Have good bottoms and are square and tight. There is also a rare additional"mouse proof" screen panel under the bottom. All four legs have original casters. The back on the mirror and dresser base are original and in good condition. A VERY solidly built piece of furniture that will restore nicely. Here is a terrific early twentieth or perhaps even late nineteenth century older well made wicker desk or vanity with chair. This particular set is painted white and the old paint is layered and somewhat worn but it is overall basically clean with both this desk and chair in very nice condition with very little if any noticible breakage to the wicker. And with the rush seat intact and strong. This desk and chair make for a sturdy work station offering so many different decorating possibilities. This desk stands 35 inches tall to the top of the two wicker backets on the back corners and has a surface height of 29 inches. The desk measures 28 inches wide by 17 inches front to back. The two baskets each measure 9 1/2 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches front to back and 6 inches tall. Vintage White Painted Dresser French Farmhouse Style circa 1898
This dresser was made in the late 1800s by the Mount Airy Furniture Company in North Carolina. It still bears its original labels on the back(see photo 5) This dresser has been hand painted and hand waxed with Annie Sloan chalk paint and soft wax. Knobs on drawers were made in Italy. The bottoms of all drawers have been lined in paper. This beautiful dresser could be used in the bedroom or as a buffet in the dining room. It could also be used to store linens and towels.
