It measures 16" by 9" by 4 1/2" The exotic wood veneer(possibly ... moremahogany) has a very dramatic and variable grain that ranges from amber to black. The exquisite top features a radiant Mother of Pearl Cartouche( 2" by 1" with no engravings or markings) It has eight Mother of Pearl Discs that are positioned near the corners. The discs are connected by pewter'stringing lines' to form two rectangles on the top. I believe that the two shortest pewter'stringing lines' on the ends of the inner rectangle may be replacement pieces. There are also four Mother of Pearl discs on the front of the box. Connected by pewter'stringing lines' These also form a rectangle. The escutcheon has an inlay that is a bone color. But does not appear to be Mother of Pearl. The top opens to reveal a green velvet fabric-covered writing slope which appears to be original. There are five separate compartments for ink wells. Nibs, wax, stamps etc. There is also a removable concave pen tray with storage space beneath it. The green velvet-covered'top partition' pulls down with a black grosgrain tab to expose a storage compartment. The storage compartment measures 14 1/4" by 7 1/4" For stationary. The green velvet-covered'bottom partition' pulls open with a black grosgrain tab to expose a storage compartment. This storage compartment measures 14 1/4" by 5" For letters. The hinges and fittings are brass and there is a flush brass handle on each end of the box. There is a small chip in the veneer on the left front corner(photo#3) There is a 1/2" segment of the pewter'stringing line' that is missing in the same area. The original finish is in remarkably fine condition with minor mars at the edges and very little wear. Waxed and polished, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm patina. Embossed bronze hardware and beveled shaped mirrors are original. The drawer has tiny hand cut dovetail joints. Richly grained marble has been polished and sealed to resist stains. There are small chips to the bottom edges. This is a beautiful piece. But it does have some damage. Missing a piece on the back left foot, so it will not sit straight unless it's up against a wall. Crack in the body of the piece. Left side. Crack in left side of drawer. Front of same drawer is missing a piece in the lower left corner. Also. There is a water ring on the top surface and several small nicks in the surface. Antique Vanity Dressing Table Made in USA circa 1900
This is a superb satinwood vanity made in USA circa 1900. The condition is very good. It still has the original mirror and brass handles, the mirror is a little frosted with age. All the drawers run fine and the vanity is pretty solid. Measurements are 42 wide.20 deep,33 high and the mirror on the top is another 34 inches.

Fine antique oak highboy dresser chest of drawers ca. 1900
Lovely old antique solid oak highboy dresser from the turn of the century. It is 48.5 x 44 x 19.5" Very nice condition with a beautiful original mellow patina. There are a couple of discoloration spots on top and at the top of the backsplash the wood is chipped. It can only be seen from the back. Otherwise excellent shape. All the drawers are dovetailed and open and close smoothly. Free pickup is always welcome. Buyer must arrange shipping. We have a local company that is very reasonable. Antique Dresser Chest With 5 Drawers And Two Doors - On Wheels - Early 1900's
Antique dresser from our Dads estate. About 3 ft wide X 5 ft high. The two doors are not attached but the hinges are there to do so. I set the doors on the unit for a picture. They are not attached. I do not know if the 3 drawers are newer or just in great shape. The piece is from the early 1900's and could be a diamond in the rough with a little work.
