Shows its years of use. It is in good condition with age appropriate wear with lots of use marks & light scattered staining. Woodenware Walnut Bowls Heirloom Quality
Woodenware heirloom quality walnut wooden bowls set of 4 measures approximately 6 and one quarter inches across by two and one quarter inches high. These are very good bowls and in nice shape with just a few surface scratches on them. The bowls have a sticker on the bottom that is stamped with an individual number and states do not remove. Up for auction is a vintage turned woodenware treenware footed souviner compote from"Boys Town. New. recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. It is found in good used condition. I believe the label in the bowl to be original and that this souviner was made in Boystown. There ate minor losses to this label, best seem in the photos. There are a few cracks in the base. This might have been made this way. There is evidence that shows this was turned. It appears to retain its original finish. It appears to be half round form with sides slightly tapered upward. There is minor scratching and abrasions on the wood, but all-in-all, good used condition. It measures approx. 5 1/8" tall with an approximate opening diameter of 5" in size and sits on a 4 1/2" base. Pretty Wood Swedish Pouring Cup / Bowl Hand Carved Antique Woodenware
This interesting wood cup reminds me mostly of a Russian Kovsh form. i guess it is possible they come from the same lineage of Nordic drinking vessels i dont really know. This is my interpretation of a Shaker# 5 Carrier. The sides are constructed of steam bent thin cherry hardwood with the bottom of cherry veneer plywood for added dimensional stability. Constructed October 2013 in my workshop. The carrier is painted with Salem Red milk paint then lightly sanded to reveal copper tacks and wear marks. The handle is steam bent cherry hardwood. Copper tacks and wooden pegs are used in construction. Size: 9-3/4" long x 7" wide x 2-1/2" tall(8-3/4" including handle) The carrier is finished with several coats of hand rubbed clear satin polyurethane then hand waxed to a satin gloss. Vintage Howard Woodenware Wood and Glass Washboard
This washboard is in poor condition. Except for the glass. The frame is pretty good but has some paint spots on it. The wood is peeling as seen in pics& can hardly see any words on back. Includin the legs it measures 24"x 12 1/2" the glass measures 11" x 10" On one side of the glass it is smooth the other side has a wavy and rough texture. The smooth side has on the wood part Howards Woodenwares the other side you can't see the words"Crown Glass" Its also not as tight as it should. Frame is a lil loose. Antique Vintage Folk Art Sewing Spool Holder Woodenware Drunk
Up for auction is a vintage antique folk art woodenware sewing spool holder recently found at auction in the Lancaster County. PA area. It is made of wood and features a figural man who appears drunk resting on the spool stand. There is a hole in the base were it was anchored to a table. The spool holder itself measures approximately 6 3/4" Overall, it measures approximately 7" x 5 1/4" x 17" in size. The varnish over the paint is starting to show age and yellowing. Primary colors are red, yellow, black, white, gray, pink and brown. The base of the spool holder is a bit loose. You may choose to re-glue it. A nice sewing and folk art collectible.
