It is a piece of fretwork from an antique piano. It looks like it held the sheet music on a Chickering square baby grand piano. The dimensions are 33 1/2" wide x 9 1/2" tall x 3/8" thick. It is made of laminate Rosewood. It has chips.Scratches and some pieces missing but is overall in very good condition and presents well. It has a slight warp. A beautiful ornate piece of fretwork that could be displayed as it is or used on a piano.

OFFERING THIS BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE BALDWIN SQUARE BABY GRAND PIANO WITH HAND CARVED LEGS AND IN ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL CONDITION. IT IS MADE OF ROSEWOOD AND HAS BEEN COMPLETELY RESTORED. COST OF RESTORATION WAS $7800.00! I'M SORRY. BUT DUE TO MOVING, THOSE RECORDS HAVE BEEN MISPLACED. THE PIANO RESTORER HAS SINCE RETIRED AND NO LONGER IN THE PHOENIX AREA. I BELIEVE THE COMPANY NAME WAS"COLEMAN" THIS PIANO, WAS APPRAISED AT THE TIME OF APPROXIMATELY $20,000.00! It was a verbal appraisal. Piano tuners since have been very impressed with it's beauty and tone. I was advised by them to list this as a"museum piece" It has a beautiful finish. And the soundboard was replaced at the time of restoration. Also, the felts, hammers, etc. It has been completely restored both musically and as an antique piece of furniture. The only ... morething that you might note is the gold embossed name"Baldwin" in old english style lettering is probably not like the original. When it was refinished. Ofcourse, the Balwin name was removed. It has two pedals. A carved music stand. The picture of the piano stool is not included in this listing. Measurements are 76 inches width. 38 inches depth, and 38 inches in heighth. Even the keys are in perfect condition as they were replaced during the restoration. Not real ivory, but a quality substitute. There are no knicks or scratches except for one small place where a guest accidently set something& the finish is marred slightly. It could be easily touched up or maybe even rubbed out. I would never consider selling this beautiful antique piano except that I have three grown children and in fairness. Cannot pass it down to only one of them. Terms of this sale are Cash only. It can be picked up at buyer's expense with the opportunity to inspect it first. I've tried to give an accurate description. Upper bout is 9 inches, 3 3/8 inches thick at endpin, scale is 24 3/8 inches. neck is straight with an original radiused fretboard, has a round bakelite badge that sets on the wood dowel in the sound hole, it says celebrated benary guitars. the square dowel goes from the front block to the back block and is original. original turners were missing, i have thrown in a set that can be made to work they come with screws. original tailpiece is missing. top has two clean unrepaired cracks lower bout around two inches long, back is crack free. sides have a crack going from almost the waist on one side to almost the waist on the other side, and a shorter one close to edge near ... morebottom. some old repair on crack,neck is mahogany. extra tail piece holes. this is a high quality made guitar with high quality woods. case needs a little glue but not bad. indiana buyers pay 7% sales tax sold as is. shipping is 35.00 usa overseas buyers pay actual shipping cost.

Antique Mandolin For Parts or Restoration from a Central Illinois Estate. Has broken headstock and old repair of metal braces on front and back. Also has some cracks in fingerboard and is missing 3 strings. But otherwise seems to be in very good condition. I believe is made of rosewood with mother of pearl inlay. Magnificent Antique Armoire in Solid Brazilian Rosewood. Rare! Exquisite!
Beautiful and one of a kind; massive yet not too large or bulky. Antique SOLID brazilian rosewood( dalbegia nigra) armoire. A type of furniture only ever found in Brazil, were this superb wood abounded in the past. Besides, it was made by none other than LEANDRO MARTINS, Rio de Janeiro, one of the foremost brazilian cabinet makers of late 19th, early 20th century. A rare, unique and exquisite piece, not to be missed, specially considering how dear and scarce this wood has become. The large side panels, made from single large, wide and thick boards, could well be used for the purpose of fine lutherie/ guitar building. The same applies to the four large and thick front drawers, and the front door panels. In fact, even the structure of this piece was made with plenty of rosewood, wide and thick frames, all very heavy and well selected. We are selling this early Washburn New Model Parlor Guitar"as is" It will need some repairs made but basically it is very sound and nothing that cannot be fixed. Issues: There is a 3 inch crack on the back on the upper right side. A 3 1/4 inch crack in the fretboard from 13 to 18, one place with missing binding, and some wear on the back of the neck. The original bridge has been replaced a long time ago with what I believe is a spider bridge. You should be able to see all these locations on my pictures but if you need additional pictures, please email me. I have the following information on numbering. At the top of the guitar are the following numbers: 193390 and above that 111. Inside. The label is missing but stamped is the George Washburn Name in a logo, the words"New Model" and the number"1897 Style" I am ... moreassuming this guitar is from the early 1900's or possibly late 1800's. Circa 1870-1880, but please make up your own mind about this. The mandolin measures approx 23 inches(558mm) long and is made from polished rosewood. With boxwood stringing between the ribs. It has a pine soundboard. And is beautifuly decorated with ornate mother of pearl inlay. It is in sound condition. Though some of the inlays are missing from around the edge(see photos) and there is an old split in the timber of the reinforcing piece around the base.see photos) This is sound. Elegant Antique Chinese Pair of Ruyi Scepters with Carved Jade & Rosewood Base
Beautiful pair of Ruyi Scepters with light green/ white jade inserts and hand-carved rosewood base.The Ruyi Scepters have a very simple yet elegant design with carved rose wood base. The one base is detailed with a carved dragon and the other base with a flower. The jades are lightly decorated on the front. Each piece is signed in Chinese but unfortunately; I can’t make out what it says. The jades are in excellent condition and the rosewood base as well. However. There is some slight scratches on the wood base probably a sticker that someone tried to remove. The scepters in my best opinion are early mid-20 th Century but the jade maybe much older. Each piece measures 9 ½ inches and the jade measures 5 inches. The blue boxes are original to the scepters and kept in excellent condition. Please preview all the pictures.

Antique hand carved Rosewood statue of an old Japanese man. Beneath the man is a Pelican and a little boy. The statue stands 24 inches high. On the bottom it may be signed as there what look like 2 marks. This can be seen in the last picture. There is some wear from age on the Rosewood on the base in front as can be seen in the 2nd picture. On the bottom in back is a small piece of wood missing this can be seen in the 6th and 8th pictures. There is no other damage to the piece. For it's age it is in good condition. Antique Rosewood Block Acquired this last year from an estate sale. Most of the items were antique. All wood like carved and turned bowls and old carved money trays for coins. All had unique numbers hand applied to each piece. The numbers look like museum acquisition numbers that are applied to each piece before entering a collection. Other than this I do not know the history or origin of this piece but expect is is quite old, perhaps early 20th century or older Condition is good. Nice patina, no cracks. Has two slots for two notes. Very loud and sharp. Hurt my ears when tapped moderately with a wooden speen handle(hi tech test! for sale is a very nice spinet desk that i bought at the belle starr in st. louis. Hello. I am selling for a friend several old and antique plucked instruments. He collected for many years. I hope you will like them. Now you are bidding on a nice antique bowlback mandolin. Handmade probably in Italy, a beautiful and interesting piece. There is no label, I guess it was made around 1900 to 1930. Fine woods, the top is solid spruce, the back is made of rosewood with 23 thinner and 2 thicker ribs. The condition is medium, the mandolin needs some repair, the neck is slightly curved but playable. The fingerboard with 17 frets(condition is not good) is made of rosewood. 3 mop markers. Fine head, the tuners work well, decorated scratchplate and also mop decorations at the seam, I think the bridge is not original. The neck is slightly curved but playable, action at the 12th fret is 3 to 4mm. Very old but complete strings. A good ... morequality instrument! Total length: 630mm. Lovely. Heavily carved rosewood cabinet which is Asian in origin but I don't know much about it. It has one removable shelf and two drawers which have lost their knobs. All solid wood construction with metal rivets at the corners(see last photo) There is a small separation on the very between the edge piece and the top of the cabinet(see last photo) Also. There is a crack on the bottom shelf INSIDE. It does not go all the way across the bottom on the up side but does seem to go across the bottom when viewing from underneath the cabinet- but it is still very solid. There is also a separation between the bottom and edge of one of the drawers. Please ask questions. I'll be sure to add info if I find it. These lovely pair masks that appear to be done in the typical south east asia rosewood as are some similar Chinese masks of the period. Rosewood is dense/heavy wood, Unlike any other masks in my collection these were given to me. My parents got them from family friends that had taken a trip(as tourists) in Indonesia circa 1950s. That said. I think most folks selling these calling them Vintage are in-fact wrong, as They qualify as antiques in my mind. My theory. Although I have never read this before, would be that these are early tourist trade masks. I am increasingly draw to masks that seems as if they were the start of the tourist trade in the region. As they are bargins, yet were being made by the true, historical, mutli-generational-mastercraftsmen before their culture continue to loose the generational-transfer of its mask making skills. ... moreSeem as if they were purchased as the pair and are done by the same craver given the style/lines etc. Never meant to be worn. So there is a cut out panel at the back. To the front it has rosewood pillars. With blind panels to the base of the door, there are 3 shelves to either door inside which are adjustable. up for auction is a great belter arm chair. it is made of rosewood and features a wonderful pierced carved crest with roses. Made of rosewood, c. 1830- 1850. The canterbury is larger than most, measuring 24" tall, 26.5" wide, and 17" deep. It retains its original brass wheels. The form is quite unique and ornate, especially compared to the usual Georgian and Regency styles of the 1830s. The piece in excellent condition. With a fine rich rosewood finish. There is one old repair where a circular dowel was added, and another small square area where the wood was repaired. Both of these are insignificant and hard to detect. The clock is a strong runner and keeps accurate time. The rosewood case is in very good condition with very few flaws. Such as a piece of wood chipped from the rear of the clock(see pictures) The front glass appears as if it is original, the hinge is a little loose and also has had a repair to the hinge, but still functions as it should. Despite what the one picture shows, the front bezel does stay shut on it's own and stays closed. The face plate has some slight fading, mostly to the days of the month on the outer rim. The front glass is free of any large scratches or scuffs. The original paper is still present inside the glass door(pictured) The original pendulum weight is included, but ... morethe key is a replacement. The clock does keep time and date well. Attached to the rear of the clock is the history of this clock. It states that it hung in the lobby of the Clifton hotel in Elpaso, Illinois around the turn of the century. Antique Rosewood Marble Top Server or Console Made in England Circa 1870.
This is a very nice rose wood Server made in England circa 1870 in very good condition. They used to serve drinks off the top as the marble would keep the drinks cool. Its all original to either side of the base there are two candy twist pillars, and inside the base has the original shelf. The mirror doors to the base are a little a little worn with age but look fine. The top comes of the base so it is easy to transport. Measurements are 48 wide. 16 deep, 33 high to the top of the base and the back part with the mirror is an extra 15 inches.

Front panel and knob of strike adjuster However the mechanism works and does strike as it should but requires the front panel to hold in the pivot for the arm. Holding the pin in with finger nail the action works and strikes. Approx. 9" in height and 4.5" wide Although the joins need reglueing and panels relacing this would make a lovely piece with relatively little restoration. Believed to be a French Maelzel Paquet as it is very similar but not an exact match to one i also have up for sale here The striking bell mechanism appears to be OK but i cannot test it fully as have no key Top finial. NY with several layers(at least 7) of exotic rosewood to make this a special piece of victorian furniture. Actually, very comfortable. The size: 68" long by 39" high by 30" deep. The cushion is about 20" deep and the height from the floor to the cushion is 15" The springs need to be tighten. The patina is good with some surface wear, but overall, very nice including the fabric which is a later replacement. Please ask questions before bidding.
