The inside compartments (there are 2) are a lot rougher than the rest of the wood. It has a very rustic primitive look. It is in pretty good condition with some wear and tear along with some cracks in the wood (the most noticeable one seen in photo 3), chips, scratches and some pieces of wood flaking off. The tray is 5 ½" by 3 ¾" by 3 ¾" high. The lidded box measures 3" by 3" by 2 ¼" high. There is a bit of paint wear on all of the pieces and one small solder break on the lid of the box. See photo.

It has 12 drawers that are two different sized drawers and they are made of porcelain with lovely detail and colors on the front. It was imported from Hungary. The cabinet is made from wood that's been painted white and nicely holds the porcelain drawers. The little drawers are white porcelain and have a blue detailing on some and gold detailing on others. The lettering on all of the drawers are black or dark grey. Each drawer has the name of a spice written on it in either Hungarian or German. We're not sure. You can read all of them very clearly. Measures 25 inches in length by 12 inches wide by 14 inches in hieght. Made from black walnut. 18 Drawer cabinet. It is missing one pull knob. I talked to a cabinet shop and they claim that it would be easy to find a replacement knob. Looking from the front. The back left corner has a chip( View Pic) there is spliting from age and drying. Curly Maple Spice Box This is a gorgeous handcrafted Pennsylvania Spice Box in curly maple. Bird’s eye maple and poplar. The box is entirely bench made by me. I am a Tupper Lake. NY woodworker who specializes in custom original and reproduction furniture and woodwork. The box is assembled using traditional dovetail and mortise and tenon techniques. The case is fully hand dovetailed as are all of the eleven interior drawers. The door frame is assembled with pinned mortise and tenon. And features double tombstone panels. All parts of this beautiful box are crafted from exquisite single width curly maple and bird’s eye maple with a secondary wood of tulip poplar. These woods are typical of the species used by 18 th century craftsman in the Pennsylvania area. The base has ogee bracket feet with corner glue blocks. Beautiful turned wooden tureen or sugar/spice bowl. This tureen/bowl is either beechnut or chestnut with a dark walnut stain. This tureen is 5 inches in overall height with lid. 3 inches in height without the lid and 2 ¼ inches deep. The base is 3 ¾ inches in diameter. The opening is 3 inches in diameter. This early1900's Czechoslovakia Spice and Apothecary Cabinet is beautiful and unique in its design of porcelain/wood. There are six large ceramic drawers measuring 5-3/8" wide x 4 3/8" deep. There are six smaller ceramic drawers measuring 3-1/4" deep x 2-3/4" wide. Each drawer has a handle on the bottom. The drawers have Czechoslovakia names of the spices on each drawer. Each is painted with green color& gold leaf design. E ach drawer is stamped on the bottom with the"made in Czechoslovakia" along with trademark in green ink and"OLGA" stamped into porcelain. Toledo, ohio. the lest side has the logo, woolson spice, toledo ohio. the right side has the phrase, our spices are standard. there are 6 drawers in the front at the bottom for ginger, mustard, all spice, pepper, cinnamon, and cloves. there are 6 round lids on the top. one for each of these spices. there is a scoop that came with the cabinet that i neglected to picture. the cabinet is 28 inches long, 14 inches tall and 12 inches wide. the advertising front and mirror are detachable. the left side with the logo is very plain, the right side is somewhat faded. the beveled mirror is in very good shape. has been part of our personal collection for about 20 years.

The drawers have little porcelain drawer pulls that are white. The pulls are chipped and cracked as you can see in the pictures. The screws that hold the knobs are a little rusty too. The cabinet is a cute size and measures 13.25" W x 5.25" D" w/o knobs) x 7.75" H and it weighs 6.25 lbs. We're not sure of the age of this cabinet or what kind of wood it is. It looks like all original to us. It has some chips. Cracks, scratches, edge wear, warps and nicks as is expected for an item of this age. There's some leftover paint here and there and the back left corner is warped and lifting up as you can see in one of the last pictures(in other words the ... moretop is warped and it doesn't show that well in the pictures) It's a very interesting piece and just the way we like it! The drawers are all about 1.25" H inside. The top drawer is 11" W x 4.25" D x 1.25" H. The smaller drawers are 3" W x 4.25" D x 1.25" H. You are viewing an antique Toleware Spice Box tin with 6 canisters. It is from the early to mid 19th century. It measures approximately 9.5 inches long. 6.25 inches deep, and 3.25 inches tall. The canisters measure approximately 3 inches tall each. The outside of the tin has gold colored design done over a black finish, while the inside is copper in color. The hasp and hinges all work properly. The canisters had the name of the spice stenciled on the tops of them. The Nutmeg is still visible as well as most of the Mace. The remainder of the spices were Ginger, Cloves, Allspice, and Cinnamon. The rings for two of the lids are missing(as pictured) and there is some paint loss. Overall this great piece is in very good condition for its age and will make a fantastic addition to your collection.
