It is complete with the tray and the top has a compartment with a hinged door. The inside and the tray have been lined with wallpaper- beautifully done. To the best of my knowledge. All of the leather is original. It has the original Brass Lock with a star pattern. The key is included and the trunk does lock. The trunk automically locks when you close the lid. If the key is not present. The key must be in the lock and turned to the unlocked position to open the trunk. Measures approximately 30" Wide(without the side straps) by 17" Deep by 15" High. Stained a Medium Brown- Base is made from Pine with Oak Slats. It does have a crack on the top. But to me, this just adds to its appeal. Other than a few very minor scratches. It is a wood structure trunk and frame with smooth me tal(black) and woven pattern metal riveted overlays with beautiful beading to ta ck in metals and curved and straight gorg eousl y grained wood slat s. Here's what I stated about it s condition: Metal overlay surfaces have been repainted and restored. Some scratches and scuffs marks on beautifully grained wood slats. Leather handle missing on left side. Flip up side locking latches both flip up into locking position. But only one catches to keep it lock closed and the other is missing its catch. Center locking latching closes in position but does not lock and there is no key. Interior lining shows foxing and staining and has some t ares due to great age. But smells clean with nice scent like cedar inside. Truly a rare beauty of extra large size that has great looks and craftsmanship on evident in these earlier era pieces of exceptional beauty. So you may want to grab it quick, before it is gone! Note: Not shipping overseas nor to Alaska on this one. Only to domestic United States. The inside bottom portion is covered with a patterned paper. There is also a wooden removable divided tray, and metal lockable latch. no key) It is in nice condition with normal signs of age, and use with scuffs, scratches, tarnish on the metal, and finish loss. Primitive Wooden Trunk, Toolbox or Chest
Perfectly imperfect- it is full of primitive. Shabby character! I brought it home, cleaned(scrubbed) it, sanded it, painted it milk black, rubbed some of the edges and oiled it and then cleaned and painted the interior a fresh, crisp aqua. It has been tucked below the black cabinet(now seen resting on the floor) which had been supported by beefy candlesticks for legs. I have decided to part with this little beauty because of the new configuration(hey, I can only stack so high! It measures about 25 1/2" long(or wide) and is 15" front to back. It stands roughly 9"10" high(slightly higher if you include the handle on top) The hinges and hardware(including the chunky, utilitarian handle) are original to the piece(as far as I can tell- I have not altered them) It also came with the chain inside to keep the lid from falling ... morebackwards when opened(and I have left that in place as well) This provides WONDERFUL storage books(we kept photos, photo albums, dictionaries, etcetera tucked out-of-sight in it) blankets, toys, etcetera. It's not so horribly deep that things are buried at the bottom never to be seen again! I did adhere fuzzy, felt feet to the bottom to protect the hardwood floor.

Little Carved Wooden Elephant Raised Trunk Vintage Unknown
This is a cute lil wooden elephant. I do not know much about it except that it is carved. It has a tiny hole drilled through the trunk. One of the tusks is chipped. Both tusks are stained reddish in color. Perhaps this happened when they stained the wood or someone thought he would look cooler if he had been in a fight. VINTAGE CARPENTER SEAMAN WOODEN TRUNK CHEST TOOL BOX- HASP w/ NO LOCK An antique wooden carpenters tool box measuring approximately 12" tall x 12" deep x 34-1/2" long. As you can see in the photos it was probably used on a regular basis. Both the top and bottom have been split with the top being repaired on the inside. There is a metal hasp but no lock. Each end has what appears to be a cast iron handle. There are semi-decorative metal corner braces. The box is put together. At least partially, with square nails which can be seen where a portion of the wood molding on the top has broken away over the years. The tool box has its' original finish except where it is worn away. It is made of wood(I believe pine) and has brass corner trim(2 corner trims are missing) It is also missing the latch and hinges. It has sturdy brass handles on the two sides for carrying. The lid is attached to the bottom with a small chain(not sure if this is original or not) Other than the missing hardware. The trunk is in very good condition overall. Nice decorative trunk. It is made of wood and has an overlay of copper or tin woven with thin wood. It also has floral hammered copper/tin trim around the top. It has a hinged lid and metal latch. It measures 12 3/8" tall. 16" across the front, and 9 3/4" front to back. The chest is a little dusty and on one side there is one spot where the tin is split(see close up photo) and another spot where the tin is bent. The lock does work great and will keep your valubles safe from bandits. The box measures 12 inches wide across the top. Is 8 1/4 inches tall and is 9 inches deep front to back. The lock measures 1 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches tall. It is a well made sturdy box that is a really neat item for a western collector. Carved Black Wooden Elephant Trunk Up
Vintage carved black wooden elephant figurine on a wooden base. Lovely detail; from my grandfather's collection so likely between 15-20 years old or older. Figurine does appear to have some chips in it but they blend in with the figurine and are not very noticeable(see picture) Trunk up for luck! Wooden base is 3 x 1.5 inches. Elephant itself is about 4.5 inches tall and 2 inches long. If viewed from behind, he does lean slightly to the left. Has holes where the tusks should be but they have either been lost or were never there to begin with.

It was actually used on a stage coach and in very good condition for its age. Shabby chic rustic and rugged. Made of solid wood and sturdy. On the outside there is a little paint loss on it due to its age. Mostly on the back of the trunk on the bottom. The outside was probably refinished at one point. It was hand or CUSTOM made. Very heavy well made chest. It is solid with no damage to it or its 2 drawers. The drawers are 14 3/4 inches in depth x 20 inches long x 2" wide. In good solid condition. None of the wood shows any sign of damage. Warping or shrinkage. Both drawers open and close easily. ... moreTwo metal knobs are present on each drawer to open them. The previous owner told us that it was checked by an expert and was made sometime during the 1840's and except for one handle on the top. Everything else is original. It looks like it may have been used as a gun/pistol box or a storage box for guns. Its bottom drawer is QUITE UNIQUE. The drawer has seven raised wooden compartments in the color blue. That color blue was not be the original color. TWO of those compartments were designed specifically to fit pistols. The other compartments perhaps to hold ammo and anything else related to pistols or guns. The trunk/chest by design does not have any side handles. Four strips of embossed metal adore its domed top. When you open the trunk/chest it will not remain open unless you put something underneath the top to prevent it from closing. Underneath the lid of the trunk there is a secret compartment. The interior is in very good condition. The inside of the trunk is all natural wood. Very clean with no odors. 77030 GTW Grand Trunk Western 1895 Wooden Sided Caboose all restored! This is a full sized caboose that we acquired in 2012 and restored to it's former glory! What a great place to hang out and talk trains or set your model railroad up in! The items shown that are on the walls or floors of the caboose(except the 2 lighting lamps and the main lamp in cupola) and items not fastened to the caboose(such as railroad lanterns. Pictures, or any other piece of railroadiana being displayed in the pictures) are not included in this auction or in the sale of the rail car. The track section with railroad ties is included. We do have all of the doors(exterior and interior cabinet) to the caboose which are included in the sale. Most of the caboose is original. The wood that was replaced is the following: one of the exterior 1 x 6 pieces along the bottom ... moreis new. Some of the roof trim, the interior 4 x 4 area on the wall where the kerosene had saturated the wood, the cupola side deck and steps were replaced, and the other side deck steps are new. The cupola was removed for transit, so there is a trim piece on the interior to cover the separation. The entire outside has been caulked, sealed, painted. The roof is all original but has a few patches fixed. If you are thinking of putting the caboose outside, you would want to seal the roof. This is a beautiful wood based velvet and brocade treasure chest trinket jewelry box. It has dainty baroque brocade stripes with velvet(all one material) and is of a cream and light green color with gold accents. It boasts a gold color claw foot base and is lined with a ribbed velvet material top and bottom. It is trimmed inside and out and is very clean. 8w x 5d x 3.5h. It was really hard to get a good picture of the color but it is really a match to all. As it is a crushed velvet that shimmers slightly as you turn the box. Also, the velvet changes colors as you swipe over it so any perceived blemishes are no flaws. The line on the top was from setting another box on top of it for photos but is not permanent. A beautiful piece that I hope you will love.

There are no makers marks on this trunk so we are unsure who and where it was originally made. the info we did find on it was that it is rare as to the way it was stained two tone. The measurements on this trunk are 41 1/4 inches long by 20 1/2 inch depth by 30 inches tall with ships and dragons carved into this piece. this item was appraised at 4500.00. Painted Dome Top Trunk 1800's or Earlier Wooden Chest Unique Must See
This very old painted dome lid trunk or chest is amazing. Unknown age and origin. But it obviously predates the 1900’s, possibly even the 1800’s. Look closely at the paintings– ornate scrolls, flowers, and a bird on the arched lid; flowers on the right end, and a lovely woman in a garden and a flower filled vase on the front panels. It appears as if this were cut in half at one time long ago. My guess is that it might have been a dowry chest from“the old country” that either was damaged or needed to be reduced in size. Perhaps to transport. Inside the lid is very early wallpaper. I’ve left old newspapers inside as I purchased it– 1930’s papers from Philadelphia. This measures 30” long X 21” wide or deep X 17 ½” to the top of the base and 23” to the top of the arched lid. The left end is painted blue– no decorations– probably missing ... morepart of the original chest. I’ve used this for many years as a decorative piece– the left end against a wall.
