For Sale is I guess a stove grate shaker and/or lifter handle. Used for coal or wood stove. The handle looks to be a shaker and/or lifter handle and in good condition. Seems to be a pretty good size handle compared to many of them. The handle on the front side says"GARLAND" and the backside has the word"ART" The handle looks to have been chrome plated or something similar when it was made. Also it seems as if over time a little of the plating has came off in a few areas and a little of rust has came through and it also looks as if someone in the past has put a clear coat over the entire handle to preserve it. Vintage Wooden Salt Shaker Pepper Mill Wood Holder Japan
Nice vintage set of wood salt shaker and pepper mill with wood handled holder made in Japan. Both are painted a dark green and sit in a brown wood base with handle. Salt shaker is 5" tall. Pepper mill is 5 1/2" tall and both are 1 1/2" across. Wood base is 5 1/2" long. 2" wide and 5" tall. Shakers fit in inset holes. Shakers have some slight where to green paint around bottom edges where they fit into holder, but other wise in great condition. Perfect for the holidays.

30"x83" Antique Arts Crafts Swinging Solid Wood Interior Door Shaker Style Panel
Penn Antique Restoration. 30"x83"x1.75" Antique Arts& Crafts Swinging Door w/4 Panels. Wonderful. Arts& Crafts style antique door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door has a solid, oak core covered with 1/8" oak veneers on one side(green side) and 1/8" pine veneers on the other(beige side) Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. Oak is a very dense wood and the door would've warped long ago if it weren't for its veneers. The door has a rare design featuring 4 recessed panels: 1 square panel on top and 3 long. Vertical panels below. Notice that there is no molding around the inner edges of the panels-shaker ... morestyle! The door was previously used as a"swinging door. which means that it had a spring-loaded, pivot hinge installed in it's bottom corner, and swung both forward and backward like a saloon style door. The door no longer has it's pivot hinge or push plates. However, just because it was used as a swinging door, doesn't mean that you have to. We could cut the height of the door to just above of the area where the hinge was installed, or if you need the height or need it taller, we could plug the mortised area and even add to it. Look at the last photos of another door that we modified as an example. Condition: The upper hinge stile corner has a fairly big break. However, the break is only on one side of the door. It looks worse than it actually is. The corner is still tight and the break is not structurally threatening. We could patch the break as well as make any other repairs that you see fit-email us for a quote. Otherwise. There are minor cosmetic blemishes from top to bottom, which are normal for a 100+ year old door. Antique Wood Coal Stover Shaker Handle Square Socket
This Antique Wood Coal Stover Shaker Handle has been gently restored. What does gently restored mean? The overall objective is to preserve as much as the old tool or item with a good balance of lifetime patina as possible without the use of power tools. The first step is to dismantle the tool down to individual parts. Metal is typically initially cleaned using mineral oil. Or a weak solution of washing soda and water and if necessary brief burst of electrolysis on to remove and or convert rust to black oxide. For other metals such as brass a brief immersion in a weak solution of food grade citric acid may be necessary. Whichever method is best, a scotch brite plastic cleaning pad is used with water so the underlying metal is not damaged. A heat gun is immediately used to blow dry and eliminate moisture to which is followed by a hand rubbed ... morecoat of a mix of orange and mineral oil to seal the pores. It is often necessary to repeat this step until a satisfactory result is achieved. After letting the oil“soak in” for a day or so, the item is wiped cleaned then hand rub in a purchased but diluted orange oil bees wax mix to seal it. For wood a weak solution of oil soap and water is used to remove grime, old oils and dirt which is air or blowed dry with a heat gun. This is followed by a hand rub of“feed and wax" Normally all other materials are simply wiped clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth as appropriate. If the situation requires it, a soft brass bristle brush or“0000” steel wool is ocassionaly used. A couple of items should be noted. The first is this gentle process may not remove all rust or dirt, etc, as there is always a balance of limiting restoration to not affect patina. The second is that tools and items are not conditioned for use such as sharpening, tightening or replacement of parts. This is left up to the judgement of the new owner as there is a large range of utilization of older tools. Lastly, the item may have residual oil left in the cleaning process. This auction is for a cute. Vintage 3.25" tall antique Japanese wood kokeshi doll pepper shaker. Unfortunately there is no matching salt shaker. This shaker is post World War 2- mid-century- 1950's era. She is wearing a red Haori coat with tiny white flowers over her pink kimono that's decorated with black and white crosshatch marks. She's also wearing a blue and red obi, and red and white hair adornments. Her hair bun unscrews to fill it. This shaker has 5 holes/openings, and it is a nodder. So cute. There is a divider going down the middle with two holes for easy carrying. There are a couple of small chips on the bottom of the box that you can see in the pictures. Up for sale by BIN(buy it now or you can send a polite offer as well) We have a gorgeous sewing box with 2 tiers of organized brilliant storage and use. This sewing box is a museum quality piece. Made of walnut wood and perhaps another wood like pine? The bottom level of this artistic sewing has a drawer. The items it arrived with are what will be sent to you. Two thimbles. Old scissors and an advertising piece from the last sewing person perhaps in the early 1900's? The drawer comes in and out of the case very well. The second level is what made me fall in love. You can remove the top lid(which is in perfect condition) and inside the compartment are 8 metal pins that hold spools of thread. The awesome part is that the thread can be guided into the circular ... moreopenings that bring the thread out of the compartment through the piece of bone that is gorgeously placed around the compartment. I especially love the single thread opening on each end. There is a pin cushion on top in a darkish green velvet. I have thought it original to the piece but it could have been a redo. It certainly is beautiful. The measurements of this prize piece are 7" x 4.5" x 7" It weighs a nice light 1 lb. and 3 oz. I listed some minor marks of beauty from use and wear in the conditions information and have a full file of pictures for you as well. Country/ Shaker like/ Rustic blue Peg board with three pegs and two heart cutouts. Measures 18.5" long x 4 7/8" high; the backboard is 3/4" thick. And the pegs project 2 3/4" out from the surface. The inner points of both hearts are chipped. Please see photos. The paint is worn in spots. Especially on the pegs. There are some spots, as of white and blue paint, on the heads of the pegs.
