Here is a nice old citrus crate with a great label. Label says'Cadet Brand Distributed by Shippers Sales Corporation. Los Angeles, Cal' Also marked on the crate. And wrapped around two sides is'Uniform Quality and Pack Grown in U.S.A. Did a little research and only found one reference to this label which mentioned it being used for Oranges. The label, though starting to peel a bit around the edges, has great appeal and shows a young boy saluting in military uniform. May be rare, as I have not been able to find any others listed or referenced on the internet. When I found this crate, it contained old egg packing material, much of which was fully deteriorated. The bottom couple of layers were basically intact so I have left them. If you don't want them, let me know and I will discard. Vintage Drink Moxie wooden crate that would have held 12 Moxie bottles. There is no handles on each end and the corners are exposed to show dovetailing. One end of the wooden crate is damaged as shown and leaving any repairs to new owner. Moxie was manufactured in the Boston and New York areas and was advertised by Ted Williams in the 1950's. Vintage Wooden Wood Open Tool Box Crate Workshop Caddy Carrier Sturdy Decorative
This is a sturdy construction rustic open top tool box. Came from a family in Louisville KY. Unknown age or origin but it does have flat head wooden screws and no visible screws on the bottom. It also has a notch on one end of the box that spans the entire box underneath(hard to describe. See pictures) It is made of 5 layers of plywood. Construction and design make this box a very unique find. Simple design with some great carpentry. Measurements are 12" long, 7.5 inches wide and 6.5 inches tall. RARE Vintage Apple II Promotional wood crate with logo! Retro Apple!
After three hours of Googling. I still cannot find anything that even remotely looks like this. If anyone knows exactly what this was from, I would really love to know. I found it at my local thrift shop and quickly snatched it up! I was originally going to keep it for myself, but I'm trying not be the next featured person on"Hoarders. It is a a wood crate with sliding and completely removable lid. There is gray kind of geometric pin-striping(that looks very late 70's/early 80's) a gray Apple logo with the slogan"The Personal Computer" in a lighter gray with darker gray background shadow. On the top left there is another smaller logo that says: apple computer" with another small apple logo. What I could find out based on the slogan"The Personal Computer. is this is something from the Apple II days which ... morewere from 1977-1993. I even searched through photos of Apple packaging/boxing and still nothing. I'm guessing it was either a promotional item, a display case/stand, or a trade show display. I'm not really sure. I can also tell that this is not a"homemade" job. It's not a sticker or decal on the lid, it is definitely machine-printed. I hope someone can solve the mystery! Proctor & Gamble Ivory Soap Advertising Wooden Crate 9" Vintage Metal Strap Wood
A great advertising piece! This wooden crate has metal strap bands on the ends. The box has the Ivory name on the ends and the Proctor Gamble Logo on the front. The lid is hinged with metal hinges. It is about 8.75" wide by 6" tall by 6" deep. I've seen these in other sizes but this is the first I've seen in this size. It is in good used condition with some signs of age and use.
