stamp on bottom says"GG Thailand" which should stand for Genuine Good wood This is a vintage mid century aged. Wooden bowl. This Salad serving Bowl. The inside and outside of the bowl is in good condition for its age. And I see no damage or unsightly marks and scratches, but it does have a few minor scuffs and scratches from age. the large bowl is 5.5" tall and it is about 10" wide at the largest point half way down the bowl. the rim opening is 7.5' wide. I'm not able to make out the name of the maker but believe that it's Danish. The humidor measures 5" high and 6" across at its' widest point. It appears to be in very nice. Gently used vintage condition. I don't see any damage on this. There is slight surface wear as associated with gentle usage and evidence of usage when looking inside. It is not a common item- in fact it is the first time I have come across one of these(and I've been around for a few years. It is a wonderful item to leave on a table or sideboard with fruit or a plant in it; but it would also serve you well as an ice bucket. I am not sure what the intended purpose is. EARLIER DANSK IHQ DENMARK J QUISTGAARD STAVED TEAK WOOD BOAT BOWL 24" LONG
A 24" long canoe or banana leaf shaped wooden bowl marked as shown. The design is by J. H. Quistgaard of Denmark. The bowl is made of Teak Wood- the markings underneath state: Staved Teak" It is larger than a similar bowl that was made. This bowl is approximately 24" long. It makes a wonderful statement in the home or office and will also function as a fruit bowl or as a center piece on a dining table or in the Kitchen. Displays on a relatively shallow mantle or shelf as it is long and narrow. The condition is very good. However, bear in mind that the bowl is not new, so it does show some signs of being used over the years. Gentle use only- no deep scratches. It may need a little oil to moisturize the wood. This is a personal choice- it looks great just the way it is without oil too.

Is finely turned form a solid block of hard wood(wanut, mahogany?
