Antique Silver Plate Condiment Cruet Holder Oil & Vinegar Shaker English
Oil and Vinegar Condiment Cruet Up for auction a very old antique condiment cruet holder/ oil& Vinegar. Shaker and jam/ mustard jar. This has a silver plate base and hand cut glass. The bottom tray or holder is silver plated. It is stamped E.P(a picture of a pig) GURMAROID REG(some registered mark) 8681. This was my Grandmothers or her mother's and my grandmother is over 100 years old. I believe this is hand cut glass because of the irregularity in the cut shape of the stoppers which are not round or even. The two tallest bottles are around 6" tall and the other two are 5-1/2" and 3-5/8" Width of the bottles are 1-3/4" and the silver stand is 8-1/2" tall. There is a chip on one of the stoppers as shown in the picture. A tiny flea bite is visible in the top of the stopper and there is a small chip on the top ... moreof the hinged bottle. The spoon is solid silver and the best I can make out it reads AS SSB AFGHAN SILVER with a S with a small BS inside it. The spoon may not be original but it has aways been in the set far as I can remember. Make sure you look at the picture carefully because this is the part you will be receiving. All sales are final. This is a really beautiful cocktail shaker or stirer with a long silver spoon. Made by Dixon, and model number L2067. Made in England. The silver is EP and is very heavy and thick and fantastic quality, not thinning in any area. I would estimate that this is 1920's. The glass has a cockerel etched into it. Offered here for your consideration are a Gorham Sterling Silver Quilted Cocktail Shaker& 12 Goblets A13825 A13826 circa 1930. They are in overall very good condition with monogrammed"MMM" in block letters on each piece. Every piece has some light expected surface scratches throughout. The shaker has a dimple on cap and in center of monogram. Each goblet has surface scratches. The rims of many are slightly indented(see photos, many also stand slightly askew or off center and each stem is a slightly different height and a slightly different weight. The cement in 2 stem's bases is slightly detached and rattles a little bit. The base of cocktail shaker has dimple impressions or slight dents(likely from a cocktail spoon. EAPG - IMPERIAL - STAR AND FILE SALT SHAKER W/ ROSE STAIN - CIRCA 1930 - A
This is a beautiful salt shaker in the Star and File pattern by the Imperial Glass Co. of Belliare. OH circa 1930. I can't find any information as to the pattern number in any of my books on Imperial but it is illustrated, with the rose stain, in"Imperial Glass Encyclopedia Vol III page 705 by James Measell. This shaker is 4 inches tall and 2 inches in diameter at the widest part of the body. The foot ring is 2 inches in diameter and is also rose stained. The rose staining on this piece is worn. I have another listed that has rose stain in better condition but still worn some. The glass is crystal clear. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are no chips, flakes or cracks.
