Fabulous Enamel Putti Angel Cherub Ring Edwardian/Victorian Sterling Silver
This ring is so amazing. The quality of the Polychrome enamel is very fine. The ring features a fabulous angel portrait resting on a Crescent in the clouds which is adorned with tiny silver seed pearls(pearls in excellent condition) The details in the portrait depict a sweet gazing angel with multi colored wings. The eyes on the angel are very fine with amazing detail down to the pupils. You can see tiny individual hairs which for the eyebrows and sweet fine locks of Curley hair. Amazing. The shank is constructed of Sterling silver. Not marked but tested. The enamel is resting on a lovely plateau with fine details around the open work rim. It is reinforced on the back of the face by the shank on two sides and is also attached in the center. The way that this ring is made it will not turn on your finger when properly fitted and worn. This ... morering dates from 1900's or earlier. I believe it is European but with out the hallmarks I can not decipher the reign. The condition of this ring is amazing. With no chips or cracks to the enamel. There are a couple of minor surface scratches that you can only see if you were looking at an angle with reflective light. A very rare and wonderful ring. This is created like spoon jewelry and forged but because of the antiquity of this sterling and the fragility of it. The repousse is lined with a thin layer of brass to keep it sturdy. You are bidding on a sweet& unique antique shell cameo that measures approx. 7/8” x 5/8” and I have added a coin in one picture so you can gauge the size. This cameo features Cupid. Exquisite 800 Silver Italian Putti Angel Opera Purse
This is truly an amazing Purse. It is in my favorite style of Italian Peruzzi/ Cini. It features so many fabulous details. The putti angles are plays music and surrounded by fine detailed flowers with a strawberry clasp. The silk fabric needs to be replaced so I am selling it just as the frame. It is hallmarked 800 for its silver content. I can not say enough about the deal and design of this frame. There is a large winged putti at the top surrounded by daisies and roses. There are 10 putti angels playing an instrument or dancing on both sides of the frame. The frame handle is in typical Peruzzi style. With della robbias, griffins, and floral links. However there is not press hallmark present. This purse dates from the 1900's and the frame in in fabulous condition with minor wear. VTG ANTIQUE ANGEL CHERUB PUTTI WOOD CARVED WITH GLASS EYES ITALY
This auction is for a fabulous early wood carved Putti Angel. Absolutely lovely. Measures 5 inches across. I believe this was made in Italy and that the ink stamp that is smeared would have said that. I had a pair like this once before and they were clearly marked Italy. Wonderful early paint. Great glass eyes. There is nothing wrong with this one. There is definite age. But I don't know how old. 1900? 1930? 1950? I certainly would not think later than 1950.
