Antique Large D&C Limoges Creamer Hand Painted Putti / Angel
We are offering for auction a beautiful little Limoges creamer. One of my favorite treasures. This porcelain creamer is hand painted with lavender and blue clouds/sky. And a putti or baby angel on both sides. On one a putti. Swathed in a pink ribbon, is flying after a butterfly. The other side a putti is holding each end of a rose garland. The putti are as cute as they can be. And the accent painting adds overall shading and depth and texture to the wings. The spout. Handle and base are accented with gold which is worn in places from use. I couldn’t find any damage to the creamer. No chips, cracks, etc. but there is some staining inside(orangeish on the insides and grey spots around the bottom ridge) that I did not try to clean. The creamer measures approximately 3 7/8 inches at its tallest point(spout) and 3 ½ inches in diameter not ... moreincluding the handle. The bottom is marked in green“D& C” underlined) with“FRANCE” immediately underneath. Below that mark is another mark in red of a pot or urn with“D&C o” over“LIMOGES” over“France” inside.

Antique F. Frederick Cooper Angel Putti Seashell Sculpture Lamp Part Gilt? Gold
This is not an area of expertise for me. So please go by the photos for your best description as my description is only my opinion. Offered for bid is this antique lamp part. Marked F. Cooper. Frederick Cooper was a sculptor, circa 1923 which was about the same time that electric lamps were coming into use. Cooper. Of Chicago, Illinois"illuminated" his art by making lamps from his sculptures. This sculpture is about 25 inches tall including the black wood base. The wooden base is about 7 inches diameter. Measurements are approximate. This statue features a wingless angel or cherub. Or putti. The figure is holding a conch seashell to his ear, with a bent knee, and his foot resting on a stone. Very rare and quite beautiful. There is an opening on the top where the lamp rod/cord passed through. Two openings on the underside, as well ... moreas the opening on the back base for the cord. There is an area in the front on the base that either has worn paint or was repaired with more of the material(photo#3) Not sure what the material is: maybe plaster or maybe chalk ware. In the seventh photo, can be seen a crack in the shell. There is also a chip in the front on the shell. On the bottom of the wood base. Is a mark that looks like black marker. There is some red paint showing through the gold(gilt? which can be seen in the photos. Normal age/use wear to the gold gilt. I tried to describe this to the best of my ability. It does have wear and tear that is now part of the appeal, and I may have missed something so zoom in on the photos and feel free to ask questions. These are a pair of(2 identical mirror image) vintage/antique ball vases. They have no hallmarks that I have found. One of them has been repaired but there are no pieces missing. The other one has a chip out of the tip of the flower petal. They measure 7" tall, the vase is 3' across at the widest point from the front, and 2 1/2' front to back, the base is 2 1/2" across both ways. please see pictures for more info or ask me questions. Lovely Vintage KPM Blanc de Chine White Porcelain Putti Angel Figural Compote #1
CLICK on the thumbnail photos above to enlarge for better detail! For your consideration is a stunning Blanc de Chine Four Putti Figural Stem Compote by KPM. As one can clearly see it is beautifully designed with four Putti holding up the top bowl acting as the stem. The bottom edge of the bowl and top of the base are adorned with lovely little flowers. From the KPM Scepter mark this piece dates to sometime between 1870-1945. Please review the photographs carefully as they are also part of the description. It has little to no wear as it was carefully cabinet kept and is in very good condition particularly for its age with no chips. Cracks, crazing or repairs that we can detect. The bottom of the bowl where it connects with the base shows some remnants of possibly the glue that was used to combine the two at the factory which I only mention ... morefor accuracy. This treasure measures approximately 6 3/4 inches highest points x 5 1/2 inches widest point of bowls diameter. This is a rare and distinctive piece. So a larger than normal box will be used to further insure this rare item arrives safely. Please understand we only have one of these rare pieces and have one shot to get it to you safely. Up for bid is a FIGERAL PUTTI ANGEL oil lamp. This is a cast iron base oil lamp that is 21 1/4" tall. to top of chimney) The oil lamp is 11" tall, to top of brass collar) and the base is 6 1/2" wide. The base is cast iron and needs to be refinished. Above the base is a brass ring then the molded FIGURAL PUTTI ANGEL. The ANGEL is eating a clump of grapes with a basket of grapes on his shoulder and a lamb wrapped around the rock, pattern base to the top of the ANGELS arm) trying to get some of the grapes. This is molded with great detail. Above the basket of grapes is a brass mounting collar and then the glass oil front. This is clear glass and frosted. The under side is designed with frosted long loops running outward from the center. Then there is a clear band around the outside edge. At the top is a frosted cap with a wide ... morebrass center cap and the#2 brass collar, with some small dents) This glass front has no cracks or chips, that I can see. To screw into the#2 brass collar is a#2 brass burner. This brass burner is marked, BANNER and the thumb wheel is marked, P&A MFG CO. WATERBURY CONN. MADE IN U.S.A. This a large wall sconce style winged angel holding an item resembling a spoon or paintbrush. It is hand carved in a primitive style from wood that has been painted or whitewashed. It has a hole in the back for hanging. The cherubic face is especially detailed with a crown of roses or curls. It is quite large and heavy. 17" x 8" and 4 to 5 lbs. I'm not sure where it is from as the gentleman's estate had items from his world travels. It's purchase would date back to the 1970's although I don't know the age of the item itself.

In German; please scroll through listing to read"a clue to the angel's history. Beautifully carved. The carving is quite tactile. With pleasing symmetry. Movement and vibrancy- the inner feathers look very ruffly and tousled. It is a poetic design. One could say the angel radiates peace and harmony as the outer design is very neat. Symmetrical and circular, yet at her center there is a vibrancy and energy. Perhaps symbolizing her heart or soul. Gilded with gold applied over gesso and bole. Carved from a light-weight finely grained hardwood. Likely linden or ... morelime. This is a frieze. With flat back; it likely once adorned an altar or other religious structure. As you can see in the photos this angel really shines when brightly lit; the gilding is ever so lovely. It is real gold. There was no synthetic gold in the 1800s. Gesso(plaster) and bole(red pigment clay) were applied over the carved wood to provide a smooth surface for the gold; the bole lends the gold a rich red undertone. Condition- Some age crackling and loss to gilding. Not too bad. Looks wonderful from the front. The back shows some repair. This is a delicate old piece. The wood is very dry and fragile. And parts of the carving are quite thin and fragile as a result. I feel this was removed from its mount at some point. Likely an altar or other religious decor, as I see old adhesive residue on the back. Back shows some glue reinforcement/ repair to damage in two spots. A tassel and the middle swag piece are reattached with glue. Another repair to wing tip is likely original to the time of the carving's creation. The hole and rivet to hang this may have been added later. The only repair that is noticed from the front. And then only under close examinatio

Vtg Antique Ornate Hand Carved Wood Cherub Putti Angel & Demon Mirror 26"x13"
Hello! You are looking at a beautiful. One of a kind, carved wood mirror depicting an Angel/Cherub/Putti on the top and a demon on the bottom. It is in excellent condition for its age(which I am unsure of but have been told it is 19th century) I was also told it is Italian, but cannot guarantee this. The mirror measures 26" high at the two furthest points and 13" wide at the two furthest points. All around it looks very nice and intact. The mirror has a couple of spots but is easily replaceable. This is a stunning vintage very large solid bronze Alerti winged shrub statue. it is very large and done with an abundance of intricate ornate detailing, it has a beautiful patina and he stand on a beautiful base which has the word"Alberti" done in high relief. there is also a set of arrows sitting on the base by the figures feet. his wings are fully spread and intricately done. it is an extreme heavy piece and measures 22 1/4 inches tall by 9 1/2 inches wide. it is in nice condition but it missing a single finger on one hand. Refer to last picture it isn't very noticeable. Magnifique French antique ceiling light chandelier(circa 1900) 3 cherubs 3 original bayonet light fittings 3 amber coloured glass shades in the shape of a rose 3 gilt silver chains 1 ceiling attachment in the shape of a bow Dimensions: diameter: approx. 48 cm height: approx. 33 cm weight: approx. 3 kg Condition: This light is fully rewired and in good working order. Old marks of silver gilt on the cherub and on the bow with a rich patina to the metal. A small crack on one of the cherub ankles and a tiny chip on a glass shade.
