Antique Wood 89 space PRINTERS TRAY/SHADOW BOX/DISPLAY SHELF-large 32"x 16 5/8"
This is a large 32"x16 5/8" 89 compartment Antique Wood Printers Tray in nice rustic looking condition. There is only one slat that needs a piece glued back on with some wood glue.But that piece will fit perfectly right back into place. I do not have any wood glue or I would have already done it. The tray still has one piece of hardware attached at the top, I will leave it up to the new owner to either remove it or add another one on the other side for hanging. The tray sits very flat and does not show any signs of warping. The outside frame is approx. 1 3/8" deep and each little shelf is 1" deep-a great display for your tiny collectibles.

You are bidding on AN ANTIQUE WOODEN LETTERPRESS PRINTERS TYPE DRAWER THAT IS FILLED WITH MORE THAN 250 PIECES OF TYPE. This solid drawer measures 24" long. 11" wide and about 1.5" deep. It has a chrome metal handle with red piped accents attached to the front and the previous owner attached a piece of oilcloth to protect the type. This can be pulled off without a problem. One small wooden crosspiece is loose and will need to be glued back into place- this is so minor that I hate to even mention it, because this is such a sweet antique piece. The tray is lableled Casalon Condensed 14 pt. and 18 pt. but I cannot verify that all the type is that font and size. This drawer came from printers studio where any other type could have been mixed in with this face and font. Here are 2 vintage Hamilton Letterpress Trays. Both have 89 compartments. All intact. They each measure 16.5" x 32" The interior of the drawers look really good, with no broken compartments, some dirt. The exteriors show chipping paint and rusty handles but otherwise are tight and good considering age and use. These make great shadow boxes for miniature collectibles.
