Vintage Coca Cola Wood Crate- an Origianl
Some rust where there is metal used on the bottom. One board looks like it has been glued but didn't stay so it is loose on one end. Can easily fix with one nail. Boards have lots of wear and tear and are in tough shape. The crate is 1' foot high by 1 foot wide by 16" in length. Comes with free delivery confirmation. Serving since 2003. Wood soda pop crate from Salina, Kansas with advertising on all sides and handles(see images) The crate measures 18.5"L x 12" W x 4.125"H. The crate has" drink pepsi cola" in red on the outside of its two long panels and“ 24 bottles. Vtg 30s Sunkist Calpak Prune Crate Wood Fruit Box NRA Logo Great Depression FDR. Vintage Great Depression period wood prune box with lettering on all four sides. NRA MEMBER" National Recovery Administration) eagle stamp on end pegs the date at 1933-35. Eagle is holding a gear and bolts of electricity in its talons with the caption"WE DO OUR PART" beneath. Other end identifies original contents as 25 pounds(70- 80) of Sun-Kist brand Santa Clara prunes. Packed by the California Packing Corporation of San Francisco. Each side panel stamped"Calpack Fruits/From the Land of Sunshine" Size is 15 1/2" x 9 7/8" x 6" deep. Very good condition. Box is strong and solid. With no loose or split boards. Bottom is one piece of wood, attached well. Box is reasonably clean, but it was used in the garage for storage and ... morethe wood has darkened. Some general wear from use and a little staining on the bottom and at the top of one of the sides. One small chip out of the corner on the NRA side and a few drips/spots of paint as seen. Rare Dennite High Explosives Wood Box = Antique Crate Denn Powder Co.
Dennite High Explosives Box This box has amazing graphics on it. You will not find one this nice. Don"t miss your chance to add this box to your collection Very rare! Date: 06-27-1934. Two massive explosions at the Denn Powder Co. dynamite plant eight miles northeast of Olympia. On June 27, 1934, killed ten people outright and injured six. Packing room employee O.R. Mitchell displays a damaged time clock with its hands stopped at 3:55, the time of the blasts. Night shift employees normally began work at 4 pm; on June 27th, however, they had started work an hour earlier. Mr. Mitchell was among those scheduled to leave at 4pm but instead left at 3. He was at home when he heard a tremendous explosion and saw a peculiar gray cloud. Rushing back to the plant, he saw many bodies. The loss of life may have been lessened because both crews were ... morenot at work at the same time. Many of the deaths and injuries may have occurred when workers, attempting to put out fires caused by the first explosion, were then caught in the second blast.

Therefore this crate was made during the last year before Prohibition. Making it extremely rare. Advertising is still clear, All wood is intact and good shape. Hinges& metal trim show some rust. The front metal latch is missing. Features a clear"Pabst Blue Ribbon- Milwaukee" advertising on front with Pabst's signature hops logo on back of crate. Crate has convenient carry handles with are lining with metal to keep the beer cold and the crate insulated. This crate was clearly manufactured during the beginning of refrigeration. This item was purchased at a flea market near my home- just south of Milwaukee.

Antique Cast Iron Book Press Large 14.5" x 10.75" Press Plate + Wood Crate 88LBS
Antique cast iron book press. Book press has a base plate that measures 14.5" x 10.75" The press opens up to a height of 3.25" and total weight is 88 pounds. The threaded spindle works with ease. The press could probably use a good cleaning but is in overall very good 100% working condition with some very minor surface rust. I do not see a manufacturers name. My son made a sturdy wooden crate for shipping that weighs 20 pounds. Total weight in crate will be 108 pounds. Thank goodness UPS will pick package up at my home but if you live in the midwest and want to pick this item up that is A-OK with me. If delivered and not picked up you will have to remove some screws to remove top. The press crate was made so the press fits very snug which means the press will not move during shipment.
