Vintage Soda Crate'Creme-O Coco' Wilshire Club.Globe Bottling-Large. 18x12x10 The Wilshire Club Soda line was begun in 1951(previously a beer brand) in Los Angeles and perhaps San Francisco with some interesting flavors. This Creme O Coco Chocolate beverage is a highly collectible brand for a can. With a mint bottle cap recently selling for $75, here on eBay. They tried to bring their"Chocolate Carbonated Drink" to a national audience with the reassuring slogan"No Sterilization Needed" in 1966. They went out of business the next year so the crate could be from as late as that. 1967. There's no other examples on line to compare it with. This crate is in amazing condition as you can see from the photos. The reason for this is that it was at some time covered in pink vinyl for some other use. The remnants of that ... morevinyl can be seen on the bottom of the crate. It's a metal strip construction so the box itself is not THAT interesting but those graphics sure are! One end had some weather damage and the other looks like it was left exposed so you can see what the whole crate would have looked like by now. Instead we have those long sides of fresh looking wood and bright orange graphics. This is one of those rare and amazing finds. Here.S a Procter and Gamble P& G Proctor and Gamble"The White Naphtha Soap" promotional wood crate or soap box. I got this jewel at a Cincinnati area auction awhile back along with a few other P& G items I will be listing soon. According to the auctioneer it was a mid to late 60,s company sales reproduction of the actual crates back in the day. The 3rd photo is of the underside of the lid not the bottom of the crate. As you can view in the photos,the lid slides in a groove/slot and the center divider is removable. It measures 14 and 1/2 inches wide by 10 and a 1/2 inches front to back.It measures 9 and 1/2 inches tall. Real dovetail joints at the corners,not fake. Looks to me to be cedar being I,m a carpenter by trade.Doesnt have the familiar pine smell. Original oiled paper to prevent gun rust, bunch of canvas tool or ammo sacks seen in picture 8 comes with each trunk. Recently found out these are Russian crates made to hold 91/30 rifles, We have several of these trunks in stock, some have different shades of green, made of pine or cedar wood? Have wood, oil paper, or cedar smell once opened! Trunk in picture has oil/ dirt on top that should wipe clean with some elbow grease, they do have minor defects such as peeling paint, wood chips/ cracks. Sold as is as Found. These could date back to as early as 1930's? We have 3 left and will pick the best ones first. A friend made one of these trunks into a coffee table gun rack, cut good ... moresized hole in top, put glass over top, put light inside and made racks inside to hold his prized possession guns and ammo. Vintage wood ammo crate wall cabinet storage shelf Measures: 37" tall by 12" wide and is 7 1/2" deep The inside compartments are 5" deep and the top and bottom sections are 8 1/2" tall and the middle section is 13 1/2" tall. This is an ammo crate from 1974 that has been upcycled into a wall cabinet. It could be hung directly onto the wall by screwing through the back of it into a stud or with secured bolts made for heavier items. It weighs 19 pounds. This would work as a great storage piece for odds and ends. Maybe a unique medicine cabinet or even a small bar space in a man cave holding a couple bottles and some glasses. It can also be used as a crate and not hung. It has a faded grayish green paint on the outside of it with a lot of graphics and rope handles on each end. The wood is rough. Wood Crate for 1000 Burnside Rifle Cartridges This is an extremely rare example of a Civil War ammunition crate. Made of black walnut. This is for 1000 Burnside Rifle cartridges. Both sides have stencils from the factory that read"1000 CARTRIDGES FOR BURNSIDE RIFLE WITH MUSKET CAPS" This would have held 100 packets of 10 cartridges. Each pack would have had a roll of caps. The stencils are much easier to read than the pictures. The flash bleached out the image, and I will update them. There is no cover. There is a section of the bottom missing. The bottom appears to have been made out of a single piece of walnut, and a piece cracked off and has been lost. Assuming there was handles on both sides, one is missing. Inside, the white areas are a glue that was applied before assembly. This will probably be the only Burnside Rifle crate ... moreyou will ever see, yet alone for sale. The crate has a solid bottom with pallet underneath and a top. The sides are made of ¾” plywood; the top is made of a thinner plywood. Exterior measures approximately 43 ½” x 45” x 43 ½”H(including the pallet bottom) The interior of the crate measures approximately 41 ½” x 43 ¼” x 38 ½”H. Crate weighs 185 pounds. VINTAGE Wood MEL-O-BIT American CHEESE Box/ CRATE With SECTIONS Here is a neat piece of vintage Americana in this Mel-O-Bit American Cheese wooden crate. The box measures of approximately 9 inches long by 3 inches wide by 2& ½ inches tall. All four sides have the brand ink stamp on it. The crate is divided into three sections! The item does not having lid and I am not sure if it came with one but assume that it did. One top corner of the box has the wood that slopes downward and is not square. This wooden box is from the 1980s and the lid does show surface wear and scratches. The top of the crate has a heavy water stain on the bottom right corner. The case comes with a lid that attaches with two magnets. The box measures approximately 18x14x14 and has a center divide in it. The outside edge of the box has a metal band which has been riveted in place. The box will hold about 60 vinyl LP records with covers. Please review actual picture of item for condition. Condition: crate or box is still intact but there are some parts of wood planks that are missing- on top side about half of top of this side has broken off. Bottom is also missing about 1" wide strip near one side. There are cracks in wood. Wear, discoloration, rusting of nails that are holding it together. Wear, chips along edges of wood, at corners.
