Offering another attic find. I know nothing about! This is an old German made violin that measures approximately 23 1/2 inches long and 8 inches across at the widest part. Apparently some work has been done to the violin in the past as some parts[wood tuning pegs( and arched string rest] were included in the storage area of the violin wooden case. I have taken photos of the way it is and the loose items. The over-all condition appears to be good for its age. It is not cracked or split The finish is a little rough from usage. The back side of the neck has a beautifully carved design(see photo) The bow is also marked"Germany" on the handle and measures 28 1/2 inches long. There are only a few strands left. It has mother of pearl inlaid in the handle. The wooden case is only in fair condition as you can see in the photos. There is ... morea crack at the narrowest end of the wooden case that is noticeable on the outside. The lining of the box has tears. There is definitely an odor to everything(smells old! It is marked on the inside. Copy of Antonia Stradivarius, Made in Germany. I have provided a photo however, it is not the best. My camera limits my ability to get a better photo. Obvious. Be sure to have a look at our other items! This is a nice. Old, working, animated wall clock that was produced in the Black Forest of Germany about 55 years ago! The clock is made from cured and aged Linden wood and is designed to look very much like an old wooden chalet home like some you can still find in the mountains of the Black Forest. The front of the case is lavished with lots of colorful flowers that look a lot like Edelweiss. There is a heart shaped, handpainted vine on the lower part in front and another above the windows near the top. There are two wooden ledges on the case; one on either side of the dial. ... moreEach has colorful accents that look like a flower garden and serve as convenient key storage too. There is a wooden balcony near the top as well and it covers the front and sides of the case. There are red supports under the balcony in front and the roof has wooden timbers and simulated boulders on it like they used to use to keep the roof on during inclimate weather. There is a colorful blue bird above the dial. The bird is connected to the movement inside the case and actually moves back and forth as time ticks away; fascinating! The metal dial has a golden center and features a black backdrop on the outer ring. There are raised silvertone arabic numerals to mark the hours and fancy white hands to point out the time. There are four metal chains attached in front and two have faux pinecone shaped weights on the ends. The chains and weights are for decorative purposes only and have no bearing on the clock operation; nice touch, though! The back has a brass metal cover over the movement and slides open to allow access to the key wind mechanical movement. The clock winds through an arbor on the dial and lasts for about two days on a single wind. The clock works just fine and

German F Mauthe Wall Clock Wood Case Glass Brass Trim Runs Strikes Deep Gong
Antique German Friedrich Mauthe Wall Clock Great Wood Case and Glass with Brass Trim Runs and Strikes with a Very Deep Sounding Gong Here is a great wall clock to brighten your home. Just picked it up at an auction. The clock does run and strike. It strikes the hours on the hour and one strike at the half hour. It has the deepest sound of the 130 plus clock I have in my store. And it does sound like a gong. Not a strike. Pretty unique folks. The clock was made in Germany most likely in the 1930s from the stamping on the back of the case. The name on the back of the clock is"Bernhard Amreiter. Uhrmacher Tulln, Lager alller Gettungen Uhren, Gold. u. Sliberwaren. Optische-Waren. Up on the top on the back is written"A+ 19 14/10 32. Have not seen that on a clock before. So clock could have been made in the earlu 1900s, up to 1932. The ... moreclock face has an eagle with"FMS" below it which is the trademark for the Fredrich Mauthe Clock Company. So, the information on the back of the clock is probably from the shop it was sold at. Nice beveled glass piece with brass trim around all the separate glass pieces down by the pendulum that appears to be in good shape. Glass over the face of the clock is intact as well. The clock face is made of tin and has a gold color to it with black numbering. The hands match and seem appropriate to the clock. The Clock has a great looking pendulum with a stained wood rod. Comes with a winding key. The wood case is in pretty good shape. Not sure of what type of wood it is. But quite eye catching with its' graining and finish. I see where a piece of the veneer came off the on the back left side and the adjoining veneer is a little loose and needs some wood glue attention. I see some finish loss on the left side of the case which might be sun related. The metal wall levelers are still on the bottom of the clock, a little rusted but still operate. Door latch is still on the side of the case. The clock is 28.25"tall. by 12-3/8" across. By 6" wide. Let us know if

French English German Black Forest Style Carved Wood Wall Plaque. This is a very nice piece. It looks like it was carved from an old door or cupboard door. It depicts a woman holding a dove in her hand with a child at her feet reaching up. Size is approximately 34.5" x 22" x.75" inches. Please note the wood splits to the edges of the piece. There is a water line on the base of the picture. The scratches on the surface shown in the pictures are no longer present as I used some wood oil on the plaque and it cleared the blemishes. This is a vintage/ c.1960 German cello from an estate collection. It has no label or maker's brand. It measures 48 1/4" long overall. With 17 5/16" wide x 29 7/8" long back(not including button or botom peg) It features highly figured flame grain maple back and ribs, with spruce top. The top and back are carved/ not laminated, with true inlaid perfling. The varnish shines in a rich red to orange tone. Well carved scroll, with ebony finger board. It displays very nicely, and will likely be a good player. It's a beautiful instrument! Were including a modern"Travelite" brand rigid padded roller case. No bow. Condition: As-found/ not recently played. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Original varnish. There are normal signs of use, with some varnish nicks to back/ scratches to top from bowing(see images) Sound post ... moreis in place. Case is clean, with a short section of zipper stiching pulled away from canvas on the back hinge side(still closes securely and provides near indestructable protection) We are not cello experts, but it appears to be in ready to play conditon. Cockoo clock has some vintage wear- wood is yellowing in spots and paint is rubbing off a little on edges. Cockoo bird chirps once on the half hour and on each hour as many times as the hour.
