The whole piece has a very elegant look to it. The sterling silver handle is deeply chased with classical acanthus leaves and flowers. The sterling handle is made in the United States. A pretty pitcher commemorating the coronation of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911. The portraits of the King& Queen are very well done. The picther is decorated all over with purple flowers(looks like violets) and has an embossed design of flowers on tall stems all around the bottom of the pitcher. The top edge is nicely sculpted with gold gilt trim. It is 6.25 inches high. 6.25 inches from tip of spout to the handle and 2.5 inches in diameter. This pitcher was made in Bavaria which was not unusual for commemoratives at this time especially when they wanted a fine piece and this is a fine piece. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Here is an exceptional and rare 6" tall George III-period silver plate wax jack. This ingenious item is shaped like a candlestick. With a loop handle and weighted base, but instead feeds a coil of wax up to be easily lit and melted. The candle snuffer, attached with a chain, extinguishes the flame when the jack is not in use. The spindle has a removable end cap to facilitate replacing the taper wax coil. First introduced in 1700. Wax jacks were used to melt sealing wax for sealing letters in the days before adhesive envelopes. The wax, when hardened, would break when tampered with. The other pipe has an unusual polished briar and crosshatched design. With a sandblasted shank having a display panel with the"Barak" stamping. C 1936 handled Ceramic cup that was made to commemorate the Coronation of King Edward VIII. He became King upon the death of his father. King George V, in February of 1935. In December, unable to get the government to agree to his marrying the twice divorced Mrs. Simpson, he abdicated. It upset everyone especially his brother who was not suppose to be King. They had made lots of commemoratives ahead of the date and were stuck with them but they have become a whole new branch of Royalty collectibles! This is a very nice cup with a great picture of the King to be with his coronation date of May 12, 1936. It is 3.25 inches high and 3 inches in diameter and 4.25 inches wide to the handle. The cup has crazing but the gold gilt trim on the rim is still nice. Great for a small cup of tea or coffee or add to your English royalty collection. Offered here without reserve is this matched set of 3 bentwood grain measures consisting of a 1 quart measure(4 3/4" high. 4 3/4" diam) a 1/2 gallon measure(6" high, 6 1/4" diam) and a 1 gallon measure(7 5/8" high, 7 1/2" diam) The 1 gallon measure is in excellent condition, including even its original metal supporting straps(see my 5th picture) The 1 quart measure has some roughage around the bottom edge(see my 6th picture) while the 1/2 gallon measure has a re-nailed repair where the bentwood slit at the base(see my 7th picture. and notice that this repair is only to the backside of the measure) Again, there is no reserve but buyer pays $14 for USPS domestic shipping and I can combine on multiple purchases.

All have soil and traces of light adhesive on the sides. This is one of 3 tiles with a poppy pattern. This one is painted red and has a cream background. There are some light crazing marks. A streak of pale pin glaze to the left of the lower bud, and a black spot to the left of the top bud. Description Period Antique Georgian demi-lune mahogany sideboard in the Hepplewhite style. Fitted with central frieze drawer flanked by a pair of cupboards, raised on square tapering supports ending in spade feet. Case is line inlaid with crossbanding throughout- probably boxwood or satinwood. Note, this is a true demilune sideboard. As every square inch is fully utilized. The drawers, etc. are all constructed in an asymmetric way to accommodate full storage.
