Antique Wooden Dough Bowl This large bowl measures approximately 19" in diameter and 6" tall and has a hand waxed finish. It is unsigned so we are unsure of its age. Origin, or the type of wood it is made from. It does have normal surface scratches from previous use and age but overall is in very nice. Pre-owned condition. It does not have any chips or cracks. This auction is for an amazing dough bowl.it has been in my family for years but I recently noticed a crack in it. I feel this can be restored easily by someone who knows about these things. I would hate to see this piece completely ruined. I have taken a picture of what some would call defective part but I have also taken pictures of the beauty of this wonderfully carved piece of history. 15-1/2" Early Antique Dough Bowl w Double Rim Bayberry Milk Paint
I painted and distressed the back of this old dough bowl with milk paint and sealed all with matte varnish. It is a very large bowl. 15-1/2" x 14-1/2" with two 3/4" rims, about-1/2" deep. It has a crack that was repaired long ago, quite sturdy now. The Santa and wreath are just props, but the other items shown plus a hundred more prims are for sale separately-I can often ship several items for just a bit more than one alone, so do have a look, I promise, you will love my ebay store! Description Fresh from a Connecticut farmhouse estate. We are pleased to be offering this rather large, 19th C. turned wooden dough bowl in original, untouched condition. The bowl is very nicely rimmed with a 3/4" rim and measures 15"across one way and 14-1/4" the other, making it somewhat out of round as bowls of this age usually are. Lathe turn marks are visible on both the inside and outside. The condition is beautiful as you would hope to find with a bowl of this age. It has a few stains and scratches but has no splits, chips or repairs. This is a fairly heavy bowl and has clearly been well used and lovingly cared for over the years and has many good years of use left. Payment Please don't bid if you don't intend to pay! Up for bids is this Large Antique Early 19thC Primitive New England Wooden Trencher Dough Bowl. This piece was made in New England right around the 1820s. The bowl is very well carved and the entire exterior of the bowl is covered in marks from carving which gives this piece a very nice primitive charm. I believe that the finish that the bowl retains is original. The trencher measures 22 1/4" in length. 13 1/4" in width, and stands 4 1/2" in height. This piece is in great condition with just some light utensil marks to the interior and there is a 2" split to the center of the bottom of the bowl which is not very easy to notice and would be very hard to notice when the bowl sits on a flat surface. If you collect bowls. Here is a nice one to add to your collection. Large wooden bowl, oval/round shape, measures about 14 1/2" on one side, other side about 15 1/4" Height is about 4 1/2"h, not sure how old the bowl is, as we were told different ages from antique dealers. There has been a repair and it is unique, material feels like wood, does not go through the bowl, just on the outside. Bowl is in good but used vintage condition with tool marks, cutting marks and has a nice wood grain. We tried to show all the marks, stains in the photo's, any question please e-mail me.
