Dating from the 1890s, these are all tiger ... moresawn oak in what appears to be the original finish. They must have been in a commercial institution as they have a circular hole drilled into both of them for what, I am guessing, must have been a wire for a lamp at one time. The holes can be disguised by using a wooden dowel, but we left them in case the next owner would like to use it for a lamp or some other electrical item(s). My first choice would be to display wooden horn phonographs on them, it would be perfect!! They have four legs with a circular shelf underneath that is approximately 24 inches round and is held up by four fancy fretwork shelf supports that join the legs. The skirt has egg and dart molding.

This table features a substantial center pedestal with four incised carved scroll legs with the original wood casters intact on the feet. Underneath the table is marked"Minneapolis" This table measures 29 1/2 inches in height with a skirt height to the floor of 25 1/2 inches and measures 48 in across the top without any leaves. This table doesn't come with leaves but will extend open to 74" to allow two 12" wide leaves if one desired to have the leaves made for it by a handy woodcrafter.This solid oak table weighs approximately 100 lbs. RARE MEDIEVAL HAND CARVED OAK PANEL OF A GRAPEVINE - BELGIUM - CIRCA 1550 - 1575
Up for auction is a beautiful one of kind hand carved oak panel of a grapvine. It is of Flemish origin from Belgium. The collector had collected from 1980 until 2005. This is probably from a piece of furniture that no longer exists or some form of architectural trim from an old building. This is 16th century circa 1550- 1575. The one of a kind piece measures 16.4" x 3.1" or 41.7 cm x 7.9 cm. The condition is great for a hand carved wooden panel that is approximatley 450 years old. There are no cracks or repairs to this piece. There is some wear and a great patina for a piece of this age. Check out my!

In nice shape, the head piece is a little loose but firmly attached. Bed rails with metal to metal vintage attachment- easy to assemble and take apart. Mattress in near mint condition. Rarely slept on. Vanity has a tall mirror and 2 large drawers as well as 2 small drawers with key locks, keys are present. 19th c. Solid Red Oak Hand-Carved 3-Drawer Chest Magnificently Constructed
Just look at the details of the hand carvings and you can see the inconsistencies that denotes the mark of the carver's hand- the lovely'acorn on leaf' drawer pulls are all hand-carved. But no two are alike-they're like the snoflakes of drawer pulls. They all look alike. But they are all distinctively different. To me. This makes the piece quite sweet and charming. You'll see many of these types of carved pulls from time to time. But rarely will you see the drawers trimmed in the elongated oval like on these drawer fronts-VERY nice accent. There are wooden escutcheons on the three drawer. The top being triangular and the other two being round in shape. There is some very perfect cracking on the edge of the top. Just enough to be artistically welcome. But not enough to compromise the structure of the piece. The center drawer ... moreis on hinges. And opens up like a breadbox. The hand-carved skirt is impressive. The drawers had locks. Mostly missing However. Description This is a newel post that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It is made of oak and was painted and stripped. The original finial is intact. The top has 2 carved panels on each of three sides. All are different. The shaft is fluted with beveled corners. It measures 57.25 inches tall and 57.25 inches square at the base and 6 at the shaft. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are a few chips and nicks. One of the base pieces may be a replacement. Carved Oak Panel This is a genuine antique panel. Originally from a door or wall and I imagine it dates from the 19th centu ry. It is in good condition for its age- there are some splits along the back. None of which have gone right through(see photo of back of panel) and there are some woodworm holes at the top end of the panel. It measures 38 cm high and 17 cm across and is a heavy piece of oak.

From Past to Presents Title This is a wonderful Medieval Poppy Head solid Oak Prie Dieu. It is believed to be french and would make a statement in any room. In any situation. Unusually it has a flat top and could be used as either a table or a seat, it is set at a particularly comfortable height. It stands 1.24m high to the tip of the carvings on a base 800mm wide by 680mm deep. The table top is 700mm from the floor. It has cracks in the base which add to the overall aesthetic of the piece(see pictures) whilst being of no detriment the the structural integrity. This is a fantastic piece of furniture. Breathtaking huge Austrian ornately carved solid oak sideboard buffet cupboard
This once-in-a- lifetime piece has been lovingly cared for all of its' life-125 years-and its' condition shows it. The original finish glows and the gleaming brass handles. Hinges and locks accentuate the magnificent hand carving-people, gargoyles, leaves, acanthus, practically a catalogue of the woodcarver's Art. We have owned it for almost 40 years and it is a treasured part of our household. But, time moves on and we are down-sizing. We were told. When we were living in Germany, that during the wars, pieces like this were wrapped in oilcloth and buried out on the grounds to protect them. They certainly weren't in any danger of being carried off! The measurements of this piece are: 10 8 inches(9' tall by 8 2 inches wide by 3 2 inches deep. It needs at least 10 foot ceilings and a nine foot wide wall to look right. But-oooohhh ... morethe storage! There are four. 26 inch deep drawers for silver, placemats, candles and tablecloths. Four cupboards, down below, hold all your china, platters, bowls and vases. Up above, the two-door cupboard holds crystal and glassware and the open shelves show off your collections. The gargoyle, up on top, points out the carving that identifies it as having been built in 1888. This piece, all together, weighs about 1200 pounds-but it comes apart in four pieces-the bottom buffet, the beautiful, perfectly preserved black flecked marble, the upper cupboard and the gargoyle's box pediment, up on top. Exquisite carved swags adorn the top panels of each door with beveled glass mirrors built-in below them. Mirrors need resilvering. ENGLISH ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU ARTS& CRAFTS CARVED OAK MAHOGaNY INLAID WOOD CLOCK ENGLISH ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU ARTS& CRAFTS CARVED OAK MAHOGANY INLAID WOOD CLOCK An unusual clock of the Art Nouveau- Arts and Crafts period being of a beautifully carved wood depicting deep and crisply carved flowers and leaves with scroll to the base and inlaid woods of a floral design to the surrounding face of the clock. The clock is an electric clock but I don't believe this is the cases original clock. The original most likely having been of a wind up mechanism and with deeper workings. The original winding mechanism possibly being fitted into the base as there is a hole in the case here. I am not absolutely sure of the type of wood the case as I am not very good at judging different types but it may be mahogany. It is difficult to put an exact ... moredate on the clock as it appears to have some of the Art Nouveau style of decoration as well as of the Arts and crafts period so could possibly be right at the end of the Arts Nouveau period beginning of the Arts and Crafts period showing a combination of the two styles. The electric clock is wired and with plug but this absolutely would need to be checked by an electrician if required for use. The clock does work but is sometimes needs a bit of a jiggle to get it started and as the clock is set deeper than it would be in it's original case it is also a bit of a fiddle to adjust the fingers although it can be done. Other than the above mentioned the clock is in lovely condition showing just one or two minor surface marks but with no chips to the carving. Snips, cracks or damage and with the many pictures giving a good representation of condition and where it can be judged on it's own merit, so please do check these out carefully before bidding. Dates about c1680. Would have displayed in a church. or a house of religion during the said period. Certainly a quite superb relief carved panel with its intricate tracery carvings. Centrally a heraldic gothic carving with the crown and shield. Other tracery carvings throughout the rectangular panel. Has an overall size of about 26.25 x 6inches. Max depth of about 0.5inches. The overall condition is very good with: A section removed to the top right hand corner which would have been removed so the panel could have fitted into a position.
