Im told by a reputable person that the wood is walnut, possibly elm arms, and a newer oak seat, its constuction is mortise and peg, these mortises have been made in a random way, as on 1 arm the mortise goes all the way up, and no sign of this on the other, the same goes for the legs, 1 hase fully through mortise, there has been worm to the back, and legs, the front feet have been repaired with oak blocks, i think te supports under the seat have also been replaced,very sound, hard to age this chair, though, surely minimum of 300 years id think

All shelves have grooves for plates to be displayed on and both cabinet doors lock with included key. Although this dresser remains very sturdy, it has sustained some superficial wear, particularly on the counter and legs where the finish has worn a bit. There are cosmetic age separations in the doors, but they are normal and do not affect the structural integrity of the piece. Overall condition is therefore very good. The height to the counter is 35.5" and the shelf depth is 6.5" This Welsh dresser contains plenty of storage space. The sides look great. Being offered for sale is this Splendid English Victorian Carved Oak Hall Tree/ Umbrella Stand with Carved Winged Dragons circa 1890's. This antique hall tree would make a fabulous foyer/ entrance way piece perfect for having those coats. Wraps, jackets and umbrellas conveniently at the door. We believe this hall tree stand to have its original finish and its original beveled mirror. This hall tree measures 85 inches in height.42 inches wide at widest point and 13 inches deep and weighs approximately 85 lbs. The actual mirror portion measures 23 inches in height by 14 3/4 inches wide.There are 10 original turned oak hall/ hat hooks that each project out 5 inches, and the original square metal drip pans at the base each measure 6 1/ 2 inches by 6 1/2 inches. ANTIQUE BLACK FOREST CARVED MIRROR WITH ACORNS AND OAK LEAVES.

Up for auction is a beautifully carved antique Black Forest mirror with beveled edge from the early 1900's. The frame has branches with oak leaves and acorns that wrap around a nice mirror. This piece has fabulous detail. The only flaws that I see with this piece is a small dark spot or discoloration on the left side of the mirror(I tried to get a picture of it, but doesn't show up very well) and four small holes on the back with a round mark(You can see in the last two pictures that show the back of the mirror. It might have had a leg on the back at one time so you could also display the mirror on a shelf which is were these marks might have came from, not sure. Outstanding! Beautifully Carved, Quarter Sawn Oak, RJ Horner Sideboard Must See!

Beautiful. Heavily flaked quarter sawn oak sideboard in the manner of RJ Horner. Pics tell most of the story. Measurements are as follows: 84"W x 69"T X 24"D. Weight: approx. 150-200lbs. There are a couple of small trim pieces where the backsplash meets the base that are missing, a couple that are loose. The top section of the backsplash has seperated and a couple small pieces of carved trimwork are missing as a result(can be seen in the pics) There is a small a chip on the front left edge of the table surface. One of the locks is missing from one of the doors and there is a stain on the top that can be clearly seen in the photo. Im sure there are other bumps/bruises but nothing glaring. All that having been said, this piece is really stunning in person and all of the condition issues are fairly simple repairs. The flaws I ... morementioned are only noticed upon close scrutiny and have never been pointed out to me by anyone who has seen it in person. Original finish is in good shape, just as it appears in the photos. The color, in person, is probably somewhere between the lightest and darkest photos. The carving on this piece is AWESOME! This auction is for a neat older solid oak spinning wheel chair from England. It's a very pretty chair with extensive carving on it's back and also on the seat. This chair is the real deal. It's not a reproduction that trying to be passed off as an antique. It's also made out of Solid Oak, most, around 90% are made out of Mahogany. It has pretty turned post legs and a nice Dark Oak Patina. It's solid without rot or worm damage and ready to sit out and enjoy. Most of these chairs have a single"peg" under the seat that holds the back in place with the seat, but this one has two(2) pegs holding the back in place. The seat is about 12" wide and 15 1/2" deep and is about 15 1/2" off the floor. It's 36" tall overall. It has some blemishes to the finish(light or dark spots or marks) as well as ... moresome nicks.
