It is in good shape for it's age with only minor issues. It is pretty sturdy but I would not suggest that this be used on a regular basis. It was not made to be sat in by people that are as big as we are these days. It is very well carved. It measures 36 inches tall and 14 inches wide. The seat measures 18 inches off of the ground. And is 14 inches deep and 14 inches wide. The back rest measures 18 inches tall off of the seat. This is a great chair that will display well in any home. I don't know the exact age of the chair but I would think it is from the late 1800's to early 1900's. Tall Antique Victorian Oak Cylinder Desk Carved Secretary Glass Front Shelves
Fantastic Victorian era cylinder top desk. Made from oak with pine secondary woods. Panelled back and sides. The large upper cabinet has flexible. Movable shelves and period glass doors. It rests atop a cylinder or roll top desk area with a small drawer and several pigeon holes. The writing surface is covered in black felt and pulls out to provide a larger area. There is a large overhanging drawer as well as two smaller drawers and a cabinet below, for even more storage. All of the drawers have brass pulls and escutcheons and dovetail joints. The lower area is spoon carved in a charming leaf pattern. This piece most likely dates from the late 1800's. This piece is in good condition. But does have some cosmetic flaws, as is to be expected in a piece of this age. Several of the escutcheons are missing as well as the door pulls on the upper ... morecabinet. The drawer pulls are loose as well and one of the escutcheons looks like it has been reattached. There is a piece of wood missing from the molding below the desk top as well. Description This is a gorgeous set of antique treadle sewing machine drawers From a singer. Gorgeous detail and carved designs on all five drawers. There are two sets of side drawers plus the longer center spool/attachment drawer with sunbursts at the corners. Put them together. Replace plain drawers, or create a unique piece of your own design! The pairs of drawers measure 13-1/4" deep, 9-1/2" high and 5-1/2" wide, and the long spool drawer measures 20-1/2" wide, 5" long and 2-1/2" deep. Early Oak Carved Figural Chest - 16th or 17th Century?
I will tell you what I can about this chest. Before I do. Please understand that I would prefer this item be a local pickup because I can only tell you so much about this here and will give you your money back if you feel that, upon inspection, this is not what you wanted or that I did not describe it properly. If I am asked to ship this item, there is no warranty- it is sold as is. The chest is about 5' long. 24" from front-to-back when measured at the top of the lid and it is 26" high. I obtained this chest from a man whose father obtained it from a wealthy estate some years ago. the man told me that this chest was"16th Century" Some of what I see confirms that: it initially was made as an oak plank chest. there are dovetail joints. the boards on the bottom and front and back are wide- in excess of 18" and one ... moreof them is 22" wide- I am a professional woodworker and I restore 19th century doors for a living and have never seen wood this wide. The wood on the bottom is split and has a good bit of worm damage( I can make a new wood bottom and set it over the existing if someone wanted; I am open to discussion) all of the wood except the bottom appears to be oak. the bottom appears to be pine. There is quarter sawn oak trim applied to the front and sides of the chest- and it may have been applied when the chest was new. the trim is applied with dowels- which I have never seen before. the dowels must have been applied early as the boards have shrank around them leaving a bit of protrusion on the inside. I suspect the panels had been applied later. they are hand carved and are old. there is some northern european woodworm damage to them. BE AWARE THAT THE PANELS ARE DARKER THAN THEY APPEAR IN THE PHOTOS. I am convinced that the feet and lid were made up in the 18th century and applied at that time. these pieces were well made by a professional with nice joint work- but not as old as the balance of the chest. the panels on the lid are split and a rail is split. one of the rails on the

This elegant dining set came from an Estate in Pebble Beach. Ca. It is believed to be over 100 years old. I can't find much information on the style or age, so maybe someone in Ebay Land can enlighten me. This group is oak and has a beautiful patina finish due to the age and wear. It is in very good condition and has been in the same family for years. The chair seats have the original upholstry tacks and most likely the original fabric. They are also in very good condition with some minor wear. There is a host chair and 5 side chairs. All have high carved backs and the host chair has upholstery on the back as well as the seat. This is a really nice pair of Victorian era oak doors with carved panels and brass pulls. The original hinges are still attached as well. They measures 3/4" x 15 7/8" wide combined x 11 1/4" high. Description This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It is made of oak and is unpainted. The upper shelf is supported by round columns that are partially fluted. They have carved capitals. There is a nicely shaped backsplash with applied carvings above. The top has it's original beveled mirror. The lower shelf is supported by round partially fluted columns. The breast has nice applied festoons with bell flowers. The label on the back says Made by Kemmerer. Germantown Ave, Philadelphia Auguast 1898. It measures 50 inches wide by 82 inches tall. It is 11.75 inches deep. The firebox opening is 29 inches wide by 35.75 inches tall. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique.
