4 VINTAGE OAK DRAWERS + RACKS from a Wheeler Wilson treadle sewing machine
For your consideration is a set of four vintage oak drawers from an old Wheeler Wilson treadle sewing machine. Each individual drawer measures 14 1/4 inches long. 4 1/2 inches wide, and 3 3/4 inches tall. The racks are made of oak and the individual drawers are wrapped in oak veneer. Please note that the veneer is chipped and loose in places and will need to be re-glued and given some TLC. The oak racks will also need some glue to tighten up the joints. And also the knobs are missing from the drawers. Though they need some TLC. These drawers have potential and may be right for your project. I will securely package them so that they arrive undamaged. Description of 8 Sewing Machine Cabinet Drawers Ornate. Vintage, Antique Starting bid is $24 which is $3.00 per drawer. I’ve included as many pictures as I could of front of boxes. Back of boxes, left and right sides of boxes, inside of boxes and bottom of boxes. 3 have sort of a scallop shell design at the top of where the handle is with what looks like curtains hanging over on each side. These are wooden handles built right into the box. One of the boxes is unique in that it appears to have some type of insert built right into the box. See picture. 2 of the boxes have a starburst pattern around the handles and I think the star burst pattern and handle/pull are possibly made out of brass? 2 of the boxes have the letters H S M imprinted on the brass handle section. One still has the pull and one doesn’t. The chest was manufactured in September 1979 and can be found on page#152 of the 86th edition of the Ethan Allen Treasury of Beautiful Home Interiors. It measures 52" high x 24" wide x 17" deep. Overall the lingerie chest is in excellent condition with the exception of the top which has several scratches and dings. These show up more in the sunlight(see pics#8, 9, 10) and the bottom drawer does have a stain(see pic#11) I have discounted the price to reflect these finish issues. Solid, very dense/heavy wood construction with thick steel channel brackets at rear corners(all four sides, see pics) Extremely rigid& sturdy.also heavy(see below) There clearly used be a hinged door of some sort, as one hinge remains and there is damage where the other should be(see 3rd picture) Features 28 drawers/ cubbies. They vary in size from 4-1/2" wide x 3-1/8" tall-to- 5" wide x 4-5/8" They are pretty much all slightly different sizes. Some drawers are a tad loose/wobbley and others are a bit snug. The vast majority slide in/out nice and smooth. 13 of the 28 drawers feature vintage/original paper labels. South Carolina and from Charleston, South Carolina.a circa 1870's Renaissance Revival chest of drawers with original mirror, gray and white veined marble with canted edges and the most gorgeous walnut grain.which has a mahogany plum pudding appearance. The handles are carved with unique decoration.not the typical fruit and leaf handle on this style of dresser.and there is the beautifully hand carved acanthus leaves at top and around sides of mirrors. In addition, the two small candleholders are present and in excellent condition. Antique Japanese Calligraphy Portable Chest 11inx7.5inx8in 3 Drawers & Lift Top
DESCRIPTION I am a 12 year veteran buyer/seller on Ebay. Now selling twice a year. In October and April. Most listings are antique or vintage Asian pieces with a few vintage European decorative items. I will have some vintage fine gold and silver jewelry as well. My 30 listings this month will be available till April 28th. A wonderful Meiji portable chest meant for caligraphy. Built with hardwood of the best quality. Called zelkova, from the Japanese serrata elm tree family. The grain is a warm brown with lighter tan striations and curves. The metal ware is copper cut in simple designs except for the front pieces of the three drawers and ornate lock. This piece was varnished originally. And was cleaned off and revarnished more recently. You can see the darker tones around the metal pieces. It measures 11 inches long by 8 inches high by 7.5 ... moreinches wide. There are three drawers of different sizes that fit snugly all the way across the chest. The top is hinged with a working round snap latch. That is pushed in to lift the lid using the handle. It covers another compartment finished in black enamel, that will accomodate the larger calligraphy tools. This pieces was acquired at an American auction and that time it was indicated that it belonged to the Takeda family estate. The base is marked with a logo representing a mountain and a symbol underneath, this was burned in the surface. Condition is very good but not perfect. I think if you compare it to similar pieces from the same period of mid-Meiji period or 1885. It is a collectable item with no major issues. As stated, a revarnish was done at some point which removed the wood`s dark patina as well as the copper`s. If left alone, all surfaces would be evenly dark. All the metal surfaces are clean and smooth with no errosion. A few copper head nails are missing and the lock`s key is missing. The smallest drawer at top right shows signs of a black ink spill on the left side(see images) The wood is in good shape. The lid has a bit of warping on the left edge as most

This is a Left Side Antique Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Drawer Assembly. It is from a Singer Treadle Sewing Machine from the 1910's. The drawers are tiger oak striped. The drawers and frames are solid. The finish is a little dark and a little wrinkled. Both drawers have tiger oak striped wood. There are aged bumps. Scratches and dings. The bottom frame had a hairline crack coming from the front screw hole. It was only a partial crack with the grain and was not completely through the wood. It has been glued and clamped and is slightly visible now. There is wear around both wooden knobs. The insides of the drawers are a little dusty. Singer makes a couple different drawer heights. Please verify these measurements before purchasing. The drawers measure 4-3/4" wide x 3-7/8" tall and are 14-1/2" long not including the wooden ... moreknobs.
