It has about 1/2" of filling and there are also a few pin holes visible in the mustard-colored fabric which makes me think maybe this was for pins. I've had it for so long. I really don't remember what it was sold as. I bought it because I loved the fabrics and the corner decorations. This sweet bit of Americana measures 20” tall x 17” wide x 9” deep and boast 4 molded drawers with dovetailed construction(front; square nail back) and thick hand chamfered drawer bottoms. The sides feature raised panels with compass corners and graceful cuts repeating the profile of the front skirt. It is primarily pine with tulip poplar back; some of the drawer bottoms are pine and others poplar and retains its original heavily distressed dark grain painted surface overall. The porcelain knobs on the top drawer are original; the rest are modern replacements. This is an Antique Oak Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Drawer Assembly. This came from a 1910's Singer Treadle Sewing Machine. It is for the left side of the cabinet. The finish is a little dark. It has a nice oak grain. The drawers and body are solid and have some aged bumps. Scratches and dings. The drawer faces also have a nice oak grain. The insides of the drawers is a little dusty. The frame measures 5-1/8" x 13-3/4" x 13-3/4" deep. Each drawer has a 4-1/2" x 3-13/16" face and is 12-3/8" deep. Not including the wooden knob. The locks work and accept the flat key. For your consideration. This exquisite Japanese sterling silver etched Jewelry box From the personal estate of Massoume Mossadegh's who was Mohammad Mossadegh's Granddaughter. Prime Minister of Iran. 1951-1953) It features Japanese S ilversmithing at it's finest with superbly etched fishing village scenes on all four sides with a Mount Fuji etching crowning the top. It's two sterling doors are elaborately hinged and latched. And will open only after the little knob on the left door is raised. When the doors open, three lacquered drawers are revealed, each having a sterling knob, and lined with a Royal C rimson velvet fabric. The etched scenes depict the ocean. Boats, plants, clouds, mountains and dwellings, and of course the famous Mount Fuji. Green Painted and Natural Wood Secret Puzzle Hiding Stash Trinket Jewelry Box Box measures 3 1/2 inches high. 6 1/4 inches long and 4 1/4 inches wide. It is golden/white painted lacquer with natural carved wood design. There is a key that can be hidden as part of the puzzle. The box has a piece of wood on the bottom edge decoration that slides to the side. The opposite side end piece of wood will then slide forward holding the hidden key. French Louis XVI Secrétaire à Abattant 19th Century. Carved Fruitwood w/ Marble Top Item# 120010TTT02 This gorgeous drop-lid carved fruitwood desk. Featuring a pierced brass gallery wrapping around shaped marble with turret corners over fluted fruitwood pillars with brass mounts. The drawer has original brass hardware with a strong lock in the middle, the keyhole a four-leaf clover lock guard, limiting the keys that can access the hole- this lock mechanism is mirrored on the drop-lid and on the pair of cabinet doors. The lid drops to reveal six small drawers and a few cubby-holes, all of the drawers hand dovetailed front and back, the bottoms bevelled to rabbet into the sides. The lower cabinet opens to reveal a locking box, key absent, the box somewhat destabalized due to a missing block on the right side. Up for auction is a pine chest of drawers. This is a primitive. Made before 1800. The drawers are all hand planed and hand dove tailed. The top is hand dovetailed, as well. It is in beautiful condition. The pulls have been replaced. This chest is 49 inches high and 40.5 inches across and 20.75 inches deep. It weighs about 100 pounds. Every side, including the top is one board. There is a splotch of paint on the back near one of the back legs about 6" by 4" The drawers are graduated. Up for bid! A vintage chest of drawers featuring the Sanrio kitty cat. Hello Kitty. Yes! This is an original from 1976, NOT a re-issue! Item has been gently used, not abused. No cracks, no meltmarks. There was a piece of tape running across the 2 top drawers to keep them from sliding out. The tape had been on for a long time, the removal caused the paint loss and residue on the front. The paint colors are nice and bright. Rubwear on the bottom. Back and top, a little discolored from wear on the back and top. The sides feature Miss Kitty's family members: Papa, Mama and twin sister Mimmy. The back has Made In Japan, along with some writings in Japanese on the left side. For Sale: One French Country or French Provential Dresser. Vintage, from an Old Maryland Estate. This exceptionally fine French dresser has five drawers- The first two drawers having a depth of 5 inches. The remaining three are deeper at 7 1/2 inches deep. The overall dimensions are about 48 inches in height. Including the scrolled, curved cabriole styled legs. The width for the top is about 38 inches. The depth is about 20 1/2 inches, the front of this dresser is attractive and distinct- with a nearly bowed, curved front. The drawer pulls also add to the appeal of this piece. Dovetail joints are used for each drawer. The natural color of the wood can be seen on the interior drawers. This French dresser has lovely curved inset arches carved into the wood. ANTIQUE PRETTY INLAID WALNUT WRITING SLOPE C1890 large box drawers etc A pretty late Victorian writing slope in very good condition. Say 8 1/2 out of 10. Externally walnut with a nice grain to it, inlaid to corner details as seen with crossbanded tulipwood edging, inlaid and brass mounted lock escutcheon and lid cartouche, and inlaid in two ... morewide bands to top and front of the box in a compendium of exotic woods of the period. It has its key working in the lock. Internally again walnut, with a tooled leather scribe surface, various compartments pen tray etc to the forward area. Under the forward scribe surface flap. lift it up, and within the base section is the flap concealing three secret drawers, spring operated that is released by pulling up vertically the left hand side inkwell partition/ divider. I have marked the box down slightly as internally there are some small niks to the wood, commensurate for a box that has seen some use, and there has been some 1980's restoration(bought like this by me) mainly to the scribe surfaces. But overall this is a very attractive, decorative box, with all the inlay present and nothing missing, no major damage, is strong, so it could be used today.
