This is a beautiful sideboard buffet and cabinet. It has beautiful carving everywhere! There are 2 upper drawers and 1 long lower drawer which are dovetailed. There are some nicks and scratches on this vintage piece. but nothing major. The beveled glass mirror is a replacement and there are other fairly current repairs to the cabinet doors hinges. The over all buffet measures 81" tall. The top section is 5' wide. 43.5" tall, 14.5" deep. It encompasses a beveled mirror and has a plate shelf on top. Antique Oak Roll Top Desk w/Original Key / Hidden Compartments/locking Drawers
A beautiful antique roll top desk in great condition for the age. This desk measures 48.25" high at the back center. It has a width of 49.5" and a depth of 31.5" The kneehole height is 27.25" to the bottom of the cross board and the width is 29" The bottom section of the desk has four small drawers on the right side with a pullout writing surface above it. The right side has two small drawers above a larger file drawer. The divider board in this drawer is broken. There is also a pullout writing surface abov this bank of drawers. Only one of the other six drawers has a divider section in it. The remaining pieces are missing. There is a locking mechanism on the bottom section. It is a little sticky. All of the drawers have decorative fan style handles made from wood. The top section has various sized cubbies and only ... moreone drawer. There are two pencil trays that hang at the center and the section above these trays pulls out to reveal hidden trays as well. The roll top on this is in great condition and slides up and down smoothly. This section also locks with the original key. There is a vintage metal pencil sharpener attached to the top right side of this. There are age and use appropriate imperfections. Scratches, dings, and dents on this that enhance the character. There is what appears to be an inkk stain on the top and there is also some stains in the drawers. There is also age darkening to the wood. Antique 1790-1810 Secretaire Insert Drawers Cubby Holes Chic Stylish Storage
I have a Late 1700s to early 1800s insert. From a European Secretaire Desk. The drop lid on the front was damaged, so I decided to re-purpose it and offer it here on Ebay. I cut the desk and side portions to a reasonable working depth. I left the front edge unfinished, as some people have their own desires to that respect. The top, sides and back are Mahogany. The bottom appears to be pine with a Mahogany veneer. The sides and top are attached with robust, period hand cut dovetails, with period flat head screws. It has nine drawers. Eight of them are 10 inches wide, by 9 1/8 inch deep. They are 2 1/8 thick. All these measurements vary every so slightly, as each is hand made for each slot it fits into. Drawers are numbered on the back to keep in order. The one big drawer is 20 and 7/8 of an inch wide, by 9 1/8 inch deep. All drawers are built ... moreusing small, delicate, hand cut dovetails that are correct for this period. The bottoms are a planed board to fit. No plywood or particle board anywhere. As with most fine desks coming from Europe during this period, there is a hidden compartment. The bottom right drawer has dividers and a pencil tray. If you push the pencil tray down on the left side, the right side comes up and you can remove it. You can then access a small recessed compartment, suitable for storing items away from prying eyes.The desk is in good condition, with scratches and marks conducive with its age. Please use the zoom feature to see details in the pictures. It's signed on the bottom in chalk, but some is worn away and I can't really make out what it says. What I can see is"Yellow, B or R" with other letters following and what looks like"Street. As with this type of furniture, some sticking of the fitted drawers is to be expected from time to time. A sparse bit of wax or soap, rubbed on the sticking parts, is usually sufficient to get things operating normally. There is a small piece of laminate that has come off the right back corner and that I have saved so it can be easily glued back on. Also the left side lower drawer is a bit sticky, but does pull out. The original drawer locks are all in place and in excellent working order using the beautiful key I had made.The top of the dresser has incredible patina and some of the finest grain figuring you will see.The top is first class all the way. All of the drawers were totally rebuilt and slide like silk. The drawers feature the sought after dovetail joinery. I restored the finish all by hand using a custom rich stain to achieve the highlighted rich burgundy followed by many. This is a"bonnet top" dresser meaning the top two drawers protrude and overhand the lower level drawers. The sides have great architectural design with the paneled construction.Like any fine antique. American Pennsylvania Chippendale Walnut Lowboy over Trifid Feet After the original period works of Philadelphia and Chester County. Pennsylvania Probably crafted during the mid-to-late 19th Century Item# 130102YTP18 This is a simply gorgeous American Pennsylvania Chippendale(Style) Lowboy Antique Chest of Drawers crafted in solid walnut. While every detail is careful executed in the manner of the original works. We believe this piece was actually crafted nearly one-hundred years after the period during the mid-to-late 19th Century. It features a fine two board top, the majority being a single solid plank with only the last few inches at the back being crafted of a second joined board, the grain selected carefully and quite fine. The edge has a carved quarter-round molding of the solid, scalloping at each front corner, projecting generously ... moreover the chest. Three small drawers rest above the deeply serpentine apron, each joined front and back with fine scored dovetails, the bottom deeply chamfered and rabbeting into the sides, period Queen Anne hardware on each drawer face. The apron around the entire table is noteworthy: bold. Flowing, inspiring, the overall flow of the skirt gives incredible lift to the table. It gives robustness to the form, the lines active and dancing, the table looking poised for action. The three-scrolled form of the apron matches the trifid form of the foot, almost matching it's proportional flow. The legs are carved of a single solid piece of walnut from the table top to the foot, the sides of the table tenoned into the top of the leg and pegged symmetrically before curving in bold knees over fine cabriole form. This American Chippendale Lowboy is above reproach. A simply outstanding piece for a serious collector of benchmade works not concerned with the period of craftmanship. Beautiful hand carving on front of drawers! Original hardware also. The listing is for the 4 drawers only- no table. I will leave all original so as not to diminish their antique value. One of the drawers has the stopper back farther than the others. easy fix. The original finish is rough. So if you want to restore it you will have to refinish wood& hardware. For an old piece of furniture it is very well made! It seems a little wobbly now. But with a top on it, it will be solid! Outside total measurements are: 13 1/2"deep- 5 3/4" wide- 9 5/8" tall. We just inherited the table and there is no makers mark to identify what company made it. Each section is 5 1/2"W x 13 1/2"T x 16"D and each drawer has inside measurements 4 1/4"W x 13 1/2"L x 3"D. There are absolutely no marks on them whatsoever. Drawers are solid and the wooden handle detail is exquisite. They would make great drawers for a cabinet or whatever you want. Mesurements are 25 1/2" High. 45" Long and 21" Front to Back. The thick QuarterSaw Tiger Oak Veneer comes from a mature tree evident from the mature oak grain pattern. This antique lowboy dresser is said to be from period 1880 to 1910. The four top drawers are bow front and the large bottom one has a flat front with a bow board below. The hardware handle/knobs may have been replaced. The curved Empire style front legs. Sides, the top and the drawers are all finished with the tiger oak veneer, the base for the veneer is solid oak. Antique Faux Mahogany Plastic Tall Chest of Drawers Magic Disappearing Coins
A vintage childs bank. You place the coin in the top drawer, the only drawer that opens, place the coin inside, close the drawer and the coin dissapears. The back of the bank has a round metal tag that is removed by removing a screw in the back. The bank is about 4 1/2" tall, about 3 3/4" across, about 2" deep. The bank is vintage plastic, caitlain or bakelite, mottled and colored to look like deep red-brown mahogony wood. It is not marked but is guaranteed to be old, circa 1920 to 1950's childrens toy. Slight wear, no damage or heavy wear to the plastic, there are some light scratches to the metal on the back. Flat rate shipping for this item $ 8.00

Over the years. The rich mahogany has developed a lovely patina, which really brings out the natural beauty of the wood. This elegant aging process owes its attractive end result in part to the fine finish on the wood, which ... moreis protected by a hand-rubbed coat of wax. This coat can be maintained simply by waxing the chest twice a year. Brass pulls contrast beautifully with the mahogany, while the turned feet offer sturdy support. The drawers also provide plenty of storage space and feature hand-cut dovetails, another feature of finely crafted furniture. Uniquely the top-right drawer offers access to a lever that opens a"hidden" drawer in the very top, middle section of the chest. This drawer is very subtly integrated into the structure of the piece and is not noticeable when closed. Overall this chest remains very sturdy and has sustained only the most minor superficial wear marks, particularly on the sides, which have long since been re-finished over to restore the chest to its original beauty-with the addition, of course, of genuine antique character.
