Vintage Carved Wood Black Forest Cuckoo Clock for parts or repair. The clock measures 15" height on the front and 11" wide. What a beautifully carved scene this Clock has! The bottom piece has a split but it looks like it maybe just came unglued as it is a perfect split. The deer figure just above there is broken from its position and one foot is missing a piece, see pics. It looks like all of the pieces are there, 2 chains to wind, 2 pinecone weights 1 lb each, pendulum, cuckoo bird. Inside back there were two coins that fell out when I opened it, not sure if these belong but including. The back door is marked No.650, I don't see any name on the brass movement, I do not know if this winds or runs. Being offered as is. I will be happy to answer any questions on this clock. Offered for sale is this vintage Black Forest bear& cubs hall tree. It measure 80" x 19"W x 16-1/2" The hall tree is in excellent condition except with a few minor aged cracks. The hall tree has been professional restored to fix the old branch joints. After half century the wood joints do not fit perfectly. Now all these joints have been repaired. I can take them down for shipping safely and assemble them firmly. The joints now are as good as new. The piece has no paint loss. It is a very beautiful piece. The hall tree is very heavy. I will ship them in 2 cartons. No marks and the age unknown. But I will guess 50 years or more. It has 2 cubs playing at tree top.

Oswald Rolling Eye Owl Clock German Black Forest Wood
Original Oswald Black Forest Clock. This is an early one that is carved from solid wood. The solid wood clocks were made from about 1926 up to just before WW II. After WW II Oswald continued production but they switched to a molded composite(like plaster) for the clock case. This clock is in excellent condition for its age. The movements in these clocks are zero jewels so not the most accurate of timepieces but they are highly collected for their novelty appeal. This example is in good working condition. This owl is one of the larger Oswald clocks produced measuring at just over 9 inches tall. Early Oswald clocks had a unique number incised into the bottom and this clock is# 7703. old Black Forest carved wood Dog Clock Rotating eyes
A vintage Black Forest type carved wooden clock in the form of a dog. It has a normal clock on the chest of the dog but the eyes also rotate(they do NOT tell the time) They both rotate round once a minute giving the illusion of different expressions on the dog. It is similar to the Oswald clocks but as the eyes do not tell the time I am not sure it is made by them. It is in good condition with minor wear from it age- please see photos. Measure approx 7 1/4 inches tall. The clock is temperamental and needs a service and clean, it winds up and runs ok but sometimes stops after about 12 hours and needs a little rock to start again, it does sometimes runs for about 24 hours. I believe this to be a Black Forest Carving as he traveled extensively in Germany and most of the other carvings that I got from this estate were labeled ORIGINAL OBERAMMERGAUER. This carving is highly detailed and simply beautiful. The label ORIGINAL OBERAMMERGAUER fell off while in storage and got lost in transit. The carving is 16 inches tall by 14 inches wide and is made as a free standing piece. With a pincushion on top, and the initials“M.V.B. carved in the front. One side says“JAAR” Which I believe is the Dutch word for“year” the other side is dated“1898” It is in what I would consider excellent vintage condition. All four corners of the base have chips because the wood is thinner there. And one side has a small chip out of the wood on the bottom edge. As shown in the photos. Also. There is some wear to the velvet pincushion on top. And the inside tray is split on the bottom. The box has a nice. Crackled and aged finish with a beautiful dark brown patina. Offering a vintage. German, black forest, carved wood"tree man" wall clock. The older lady I bought this clock says it works fine, but she lost the winding key recently(easily found on ebay. Supposedly, the little girl on the swing bounces up and down as the clock ticks. The movement is marked"K. KELLER, MADE IN GERMANY" and some serial numbers I can't make out. This clock measures 6 inches across by 15.5 inches high from the top of the branch to the girl at the bottom by 4.25 inches deep towards the top, and it weighs right at 12.25 oz's. Really neat clock, just needs a key. Low opening bid, and no reserve. Enjoy the auction.

You wind it by turning the wheel, it's working fine by the way, and to turn the music on you open the drawer(could be for cigarettes, old straights) there is also a place for two thin pieces of glass so you can put a photo or print between the two posts in the back, see pics of back, that width for glass is exactly 4 1/8 inches. For Sale: You are bidding on a Beautiful Hubert Herr eight day Black Forest Cuckoo Clock has a bird on top and a bird on bottom of the case& four leaves. All birds have nice reddish colored glass eyes. This is a really beautifully carved clock and it has that nice Hubert Herr thickness and dark brown mahogany tone. The cuckoo announces the hours and half hours. Measures 14" tall by 10" wide and 6" deep. Counting the crown, not counting the pendulum, it has two 1500 gram weights. The wood look very nice but you can see a spot on the crown where a split was fixed at some point. see photos) I got this from my father-in-law years ago but have not ran it in many years. Vintage LARGE Black Forest Carved Wood Butler's Tray w/ leaves 24"x14"
This piece has lots of character! It's very large for a hand carved piece. 24 x 14 inches. The top has a flat oval center with a raised intricately carved border of leaves. It looks to be fairly old, if not antique, and carved from a slab or very well joined pieces of wood. See photo of back for wood grain. I cannot see any seams, and the grain appears consistent across the whole piece. It is really beautiful. The good: all of the leaves and carving are completely intact. The bad: one handle is cracked. And it appears that there were cross pieces or feet on the bottom that have been removed. The handle crack is not visible unless you pull the sides apart by hand; there are no missing pieces or visible fissures. Judging from the large size of this tray I believe it used to be a butler's tray. Ruler in'photos is in inches. Genuine old hand carved wooden cat inkwell. Lovely detail from the delineation of his paws to the sleek coat and modelled ears. Eyes are original old glass. Lemony yellow with long black pupils that actually squint- very naturalistic for a cat. Original old hinges in good shape. Missing glass insert for ink, but these are relatively easy to find and replace. No marks found- which is correct for this item. Condition: as can be seen in the'photos. This is a beautifully hand carved Cuckoo with a unbelievable dark walnut finish. I am not a fan of battery Cuckoos but this one is a real Black Forest natural wood hand carved clock. The only plastic piece is the Cuckoo doors. The sound of the Cuckoo I was told is an actual recording of a Cuckoo calling his mate and you hear his mate Cuckooing back like an echo. This clock is used but working perfectly and there is not one scratch anywhere on this clock. If I do not sell it. I am going to put an 8 day mechanical movement in to it because the carving is so nice. In fact it is so nice, when I first got it I thought for sure it was plastic but it is not, it is real hand carving. The pendulum does swing on the clock just like the mechanical Cuckoos. I had always hoped to find time some day to do whatever is needed for the cuckoo and music but I simply don't have time any longer. The cuckoo bellows and tops work just fine when moved manually and I have heard the music play from time to time but not with any consistency. It is absolutely stunning on display; the attention to detail in the thick. Wavy, and deep carvings is simply breathtaking! The clock looks to have aged very gracefully and has a wonderful mahogany finish. The case is made entirely of aged Linden wood and is adorned with five large wood grape leaves. There is a large carved bird, a cuckoo I suspect, perched on a grape vine on the left side of the dial staring back at another equally impressive bird perched on the right.they are not identical and I doubt if they were ever intended to be. There is another large, carved wooden bird atop the clock looking as though he's ready to fly. The top is secured with the old hook and eye system that hasn't been used on any cuckoo clocks for over 60 years. Vintage German Black Forest Wood Carving - Spainiard?
This German carving is full of character! The representative culture is difficult to determine; my best guess is Spain. It is hand carved from what appears to be a single piece of wood. The piece has an intriguing natural wood grain. The wood is solid and a heavy 3 lbs. He stands 17" tall and has a width-wise 7" base. There is a"natural appearing" cross-grain wood crack on the base. Behind his right foot(see images) The lantern is intact. The long handled axe appears to have bee taped in its center, to repair a crack or separation. It is a good repair job and the handle is firm. There are s few surface scrapes, which to not affect the integrity of the wood and can be easily removed(see images of back side cape"nape of neck" and left calf" There are not any dings or broken off wood pieces. There is not any ... moreother damage to note. As many of the items I make available are"dated" They are rarely in perfect condition. Wood Carved German Black Forest Cuckoo Clock purchased in Germany in 1970s
Clock size including decor is approx. 9.5" x 7.5" This clock was working 20 years ago but the children kept pulling the chains that wind up the clock. The chains finally jammed and broke. All internal parts should still be working but the winding chains need to be repaired for it to work. All the parts are included with clock for it to work. Otherwise the clock is in good condition. Vintage hand carved wood Scottie Bookends Black Forest style
In good condition except one missing glass eye and some minor rub marks/nicks. Measure 3 7/8" by 6" by 7" I try to find any defects but I can't guarentee I'll see them all. No returns unless item is not as described. This is an older piece and therefor is no longer perfect as the day it was made. Save on combined shipping.
