Be sure to have a look at our other items! This is a nice. Old, working, animated wall clock that was produced in the Black Forest of Germany about 55 years ago! The clock is made from cured and aged Linden wood and is designed to look very much like an old wooden chalet home like some you can still find in the mountains of the Black Forest. The front of the case is lavished with lots of colorful flowers that look a lot like Edelweiss. There is a heart shaped, handpainted vine on the lower part in front and another above the windows near the top. There are two wooden ledges on the case; one on either side of the dial. ... moreEach has colorful accents that look like a flower garden and serve as convenient key storage too. There is a wooden balcony near the top as well and it covers the front and sides of the case. There are red supports under the balcony in front and the roof has wooden timbers and simulated boulders on it like they used to use to keep the roof on during inclimate weather. There is a colorful blue bird above the dial. The bird is connected to the movement inside the case and actually moves back and forth as time ticks away; fascinating! The metal dial has a golden center and features a black backdrop on the outer ring. There are raised silvertone arabic numerals to mark the hours and fancy white hands to point out the time. There are four metal chains attached in front and two have faux pinecone shaped weights on the ends. The chains and weights are for decorative purposes only and have no bearing on the clock operation; nice touch, though! The back has a brass metal cover over the movement and slides open to allow access to the key wind mechanical movement. The wooden shows worm holes, top and sides of the case are glass. This clock was manufactured by Gustav Becker. According to Wikipedia. This brand was manufactured between 1899 and 1930, so the clock likely dates from the early 1900's. His factory was in the Black Forest area of Germany(Silesia) The size is: 26" tall x 13 3/4" wide x 6 1/2" deep. The bottom does have a ornamental piece that is loose and needs to be glued. Estate Sale Find- Light Wood Hubert Herr Triberg Germany Black Forest Cockoo Clock- oiled clock at it's pivot points to restore it to working condition. Cockoo clock has some vintage wear- wood is yellowing in spots and paint is rubbing off a little on edges. Cockoo bird chirps once on the half hour and on each hour as many times as the hour. Sold AS IS with respect to function, though there is no reason to believe it does not work. The clock is not signed as to maker or country. Neither is the movement. I assume age is the reason for the lack of marks. And that it dates from the late 19th, or very early 20th century. It certainly was not maded for export, without marks. This would have been made around the early 1900's or perhaps earlier. The bear measures 2 3/4" high and 4" long and 2.3" wide. This great old hand carved sculpture stands just about 13" tall on a which measures 6 by 8 inches. It's in good condition but does have some flaws and restoration. There is a chip off the woman's foot and the bow in back of her dress. But the worst damage is in the neck area where her head was re-attached. Even with these flaws. However, the sculpture retains its strong European flavor and historic import. Dealer scuttlebutt traces the carving to the World Famous Mader's restaurant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the end of Prohibition in 1933. Vintage Wood Kyowa Black Forest Style Cuckoo Clock Parts Restore Japan
This is a small vintage black forest style cuckoo clock. It measures approx. 6 1/2" x 10" and will extend from the wall 3 1/4" The clock case and top piece are made of wood. The 2 cuckoos are plastic, the face and hands are made of metal. The cuckoos would bob up and down. The face has a black painted finish, the numbers and makers mark are ivory colored and it is marked Kyowa Mfg Co Tokyo Japan Cuckoo. The top piece has 2 staples on its back that slip over 2 large staples at the top of the roof. The back coverslips down and slides easily. There is a hanger attached to the top of the back to hang it with. This clock is dusty and I have not cleaned/polished any of it. I do not see any splits or cracks in any of the wood. The clock works are inside of the clock, the chains that hold the weights are intact but I do not have the ... moreweights. I have had this old. Vintage black forest wood cuckoo clock for a good number of years. I had visions of taking this in to the local clock'guy' But I just never got around to it. When the weights are attached and the clock is hung on the wall, the clock ticks. Winds and runs for several hours until the weights run down. The cuckoo and little man behind both doors do not work. There is some sort of music box inside the clock. It would be really nice for someone to get this working again or maybe just use it for parts. It measures 13" high from the top of the wooden cuckoo to the bottom leaf. Measurements don't include chain. Pendulum, etc, just the length of the clock itself. Vintage or Antique Finely Carved 16" Wood Tray with Grapes & Vines-Black Forest
This is beautifully hand carved vintage or antique wood tray probably from the Black Forest of Germany. The tray depicts deeply carved grapes and vines on either end. Open handles are at either end. The quality and detail is superb. The wood is a heavy dark wood possibly mahogany or walnut. The piece is in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks. There are some scratches and wear on the bottom as you would expect in an old piece. I have not cleaned the carving so there is some dust accumulation in the crevices gathered over many years which can easily be cleaned if desired. The tray is good size measuring about 16 1/2 inches long and 7 5/8 inches wide and 3 inches high. It would make a nice gift for a wine collector.

You are bidding on this vintage. Black Forest, carved wooden Bear, pull string toy shown. The bear is made from 8 main parts. The little tongue makes it a total of 9 parts. The bear has a hook above its head, so you can hang it on the wall. The back side has a string which is attached to other strings which connect to the bears arms and legs, this string hangs down between its legs. When you pull the string downward the bears arms and legs open and move upwards and outwards, making it the Dancing Bear, or Jumping Jack Bear.The bear's eyes are made of glass. The tounge is pinned so it moves up and down. Size, about 9-1/2" the bears legs are 8-1/2" wide when the legs are in their widest position. GERMAN BLACK FOREST ANTIQUE WOOD CARVED TRUMPETER CLOCK CUCKOO VERY RARE
This auction is for a German Black Forest Cuckoo Clock. The clock has a sticker that reads Quality Clock Von Hagos Hrastnig K.G. Furstenfeldbruck. Made in Germany 114 AM 8/1960. The movement is a Thorens movement. It also has a small music box to the side and the sticker for that is Wein, Weib und Gesang Faust Chorus. Made in Switzerland. This clock is the trumpeter flute clock the flute is by the side of the clock and it has a fan that blows through the flute when it is attached, which is a very hard clock to find with all its intricate carvings. I purchased this clock from an estate and it was stored in a plastic tote so it is in pretty good shape. It carries 3 large weights and the cuckoo is a bird in one door and a german boy reading a book in another door. Measurements are 13 1/2" tall without the elk and gun plate. the elk and ... moregun plate measures 4" tall by 12 1/2" wide. The width of the main cuckoo clock where the bird and rabbit are is 12" and measurement of the roof width is 10" wide. The number 10 is missing, The trumpet bell has been reglued a long time ago so it will be easy to clean it off and reglue it. One gun sling has been broke with a clean break all is there and easy to reglue. There are 2 pieces to the side I think one is the flute. I do not know if the cuckoo clock works or not. Okay. Please read carefully and completely. I acquired this German Cuckoo Clock about 5 years ago at an estate sale. It worked GREAT, never missed time etc, and stayed on course. My husband was transferred on his job, so we had to move. I called myself packing this well.and was careful, but when we got here, I removed it from the packing and box, and I cannot get the pendelum to keep swinging, so I cannot get it to work now. I'm sure something just needs an adjustment, but I have no idea how to fix it, and don't want to try, because I wouldn't know what I was doing. So.I decided to sell it, as is. It is vintage, and I believe pre-1970, but I'm not sure how to date it either. There was a label on one side, that shows a small residue of what is left of it as shown in one picture. It is 12" tall and 10" wide. Nice large ... moresize. It has these features: Musical Wood Chopper that is animated Mill Water Wheel. Which is animated and turns Dancers that spin and circle Cuckoo Bird that cuckoos and comes in and out. Now. I have shown the stamp on the back that says Made In Germany. For your consideration is this Vintage West German REGULA Cuckoo Clock. The clock comes complete with pendulum and weights. The clock is very highly detailed. It features a deer head with antlers with 2 guns crossed under it. It also features a rabbit and a bird The movement is in great shape and is stamped"REGULA" MADE IN WEST GERMANY" 25" and"AUGUST SCHWER" The clock unusually large and measures about 24" long not including the pendulum and about 14 1/2" wide and 11" deep. Most clocks of this nature only measure 10" 15" inches long where as this one is 10 inches larger. This clock is in overall good shape for its age however I am selling it for parts or repair. Defects include that the bellows look shot and the bellows and bird are not hooked up to the movement. The movement needs secured ... moreas the wood mounts have become unglued and is missing one screw. Also the rabbit and horn have become unglued and need glued back on. Antique German Dutch Black Forest Wag on the Wall Shield Clock Wood Work 18"
I'm not sure how to date this for sure but it is at least mid 1800s and may be early 1800s. A really large piece and you don't see many survive this big. The face is 18 inches tall and 12 3/4" wide and has some cracks from age. The pendulum measures 34" in length and the round bottom is 2 1/2" across. The adjustment nut is missing. When you rotate the large hand and it gets to the hour it does ding correctly and the hour hand moves in line with rotating the large had as well. When I swing the pendulum it will tick tock for a few strokes and you can see the gears are moving as appropriate. I'm sure it will need to be cleaned. Adjusted and maybe the wooden box straightened since it appears to be part of the mechanism. A great piece! Thanks for looking!

Antique Vintage Folk Art Black Forest Carved Wood Old Man Woman Bookends Statue
Estate found.wonderful pair of early Black Forest carved bookends featuring an old man and woman. I love the expressions on their faces which are finely detailed. In very good condition with a lovely patina. There is a small toothpick sized hole at the corner of the mans mouth as if something may have been held there at one time? This is very hard to see as both sides of the mouth match perfectly and the small round hole blends in with the carved wrinkles around the mouth. Each measures approx. 8 1/4" tall x 4" x 4.5" A very charming example of old European folk art.

Rare large Antique Black Forest hand carved wood center piece of deer and tree
Beautiful large antique hand carved Black Forest center piece. The work shows two deer. Male and female, sitting and standing next to a tree. The patina is wonderful, and the carving is of exceptional quality. Height is approximately 14 inches, width is 7 1/2 inches at widest point. There are some minor losses on the tree that need to re carved, as well as antlers on the deer need some work. I have seen these sculptures in antique shops for many thousands.
