Antique Wooden Tray W/Reverse Painting on Glass& Inlaid(Inlay) Wood trim Rio De Janeiro This is a lovely antique Wooden tray with curved handles. There is a reverse painting on glass in the center of the tray depicting a beautiful scene at dusk of mountains. Palm trees, a bay and lights. Around the center of the tray there is a ¼” band of wood inlay. Approximately 9” by 5” Condition: it is missing one piece of the wood inlay trim on the front. There is some separation of the wood on the right side corners of the tray, two hairline cracks in the wood on the right vertical sides(one ½” one ¾” approx. Underneath the tray it appears to be thin three layer wood and on the left side a ¼” by 4 ¼” piece of the piece sandwiched in the middle has come out actually less because some of it is still there, also on the bottom ... moreleft side is a hairline crack about 1” that you have to really examine the piece to find. There is some bowing of the backing. Some use marks on glass, Picture appears to be in very nice condition(See pictures for clarification)

I am not sure how best to describe this other than the pictures- this is a set of date stamps with one year- 1927. All the months are there. But the date 13 is missing. AM and PM are included. The case itself is tin and in great vintage shape. It measures 3.75 inches by 2.25 inches. This would be a great item for an artist. Antique Wooden Serving Tray converts into a Table with Hunter Horse Scene
I am not sure of the age of this tray/table. It belonged to Jane Llewellyn Ott. I have a complete set of 4(all different horse scenes) and this extra one. The wood has scratches and dings. It was used frequently as a serving table. I have one displayed in my kitchen on top of my cabinets. The table has folding legs. In great working shape. The folding hinges have a rust on them. The picture is pasted on. All in all it's in good condition. I use mine as show pieces. I have never seen any like this.

Up for bid is an old decorative wooden tray given to me by a dear friend when she was cleaning out her mother's attic. This very'rustic' tray is made of plywood. And definitely shows plenty of age-related wear. This is a beautiful old Hamilton Type-Set Drawer. It measures approx 16 1/2 inches by 31 1/4 inches. The handle is black metal marked"Hamilton" The end of the drawer is metal and a lovely army green. There are 89 spaces in this drawer in varying sizes. Would be great to store your needles. Bobbins and thread! This drawer has a tiny knick spot in the wood(see pictures) Can easily be smoothed out with a touch of sandpaper. I have more of these drawers. I did not clean any of these drawers. OLD VINTAGE ANTIQUE BLACK FOREST WOODEN (OAK) CARVED CAT PIN/JEWELRY TRAY c1900
Circa 1900's wooden carved Black Forest cat pin/jewelry tray Beautifully carved with green glass cats eyes. This auction is for the rare early carved wooden cat pin or jewelry tray as shown in the photographs. It measures approximately 3½" tall. 4" wide and 4" deep and is carved from what I think is oak in the Black Forest style. It is slightly playworn and has a lovely aged patina and although the tips of both ears have broken this must have happened a long time ago as the as there is an even patina across the breaks and does not detract from the overall condition too badly at all. The cat is really beautifully and realistically carved with wonderful inset glass eyes which are back painted in yellow and green with cats slit pupils. It has all the quality of what has been termed Black Forest carvings but were actually ... moremade in Switzerland and I would date it to circa 1900 although it could easily be earlier than that. Large Antique Brass and Oak Wooden Tray, Presentation Item Dated 1903, Military!
On offer is this stunning antique English tray. It's in really good condition overall. The oak has such a lovely patina and graining. What looks to be a line split in the photos is in fact a join line during the making process of this tray. The brass gallery mounts shine up well and have developed an aged patina which looks great. They may have been silver plated at one time but this has since rubbed off. It has a rectangular shape with a flat wooden surface. To the centre is a presentation plaque which reads"Presented to Sgt Major R.F. Ruth by his comrades of 34th Reg tl Dist NovR 1903" The metal mounts are all original as are the two handles. The pointed finials are all present as are the screw ends to the handles. The underside has four squashed ball shaped feet. ANTIQUE CARVED BLACK FOREST WOODEN TRAY -Sgnd Waldkirch 1947 -Pinecones & Leaves
This beautiful carved wooden tray is marked on the back and dated 1947. I believe that it is a Black Forest piece carved with a pinecone and leaf pattern. The mark on the back took me a while to figure out. But it looks like it reads"Hkalble" and Waldkirch i/Br. 1947" It measures approx. 17.5" x 12" It is in very good condition showing light normal wear. Including some wear of the stain off of the handle and in the center of the bowl, and highlight spots on the different carvings. There is a red and brown stain on the back and a small dark one in the middle of the bowl, which you should be able to see in the photos. There is one 1.25" crack on the edge next to the handle(please see photo) The"ch" in Waldkirch is set together and looks like a"d" But from my research, I really believe is it ... moresuppose to be Waldkirch, which is in the Black Forest. A stunning older vintage to antique deep red black heavy lacquer covered wooden tray with side handles. I do not know the complete history of this piece. I discovered it several decades ago in a thrift store. And although I could see it was damaged, it was so lovely, that I had to have it. I am assuming that it is Asian in origin. But I could be wrong. I do not know if it is Japanese or Chinese or European. The lacquer looks like a painted design- could this be a special tole or toleware technique? I do not know. The lacquer technique is so heavy and fine and slick that it reflects background images- particularly a problem with camera flash. But reflects under any type of lighting. It has a heavy lacquer covering over wood. The design is a deep red with flowers that I am not certain how to describe. They look like a bit of a mix between a ... morepoppy. Rose and calla lily to me. The floral design is also on the interior and exterior sides of the tray. The back is covered with a heavy plain black lacquer. It has inset handles on both sides. Size: approx. 18 inches long by 11 3/4ths inches wide and approx. 1 ¼ inches deep. Condition: This piece has age to it. Still useful and complete. But one corner edge shows severe damage, There are chips in that corner and portions are even disconnected on that edge. I have been careful with it, so I have not had a problem. Also some light chipping on the tip edges of other portions. The color and design are rather breathtaking– the red is so deep with black- it is a piece of art. The back of the tray is a deep black– extremely heavy lacquer. Does show some light scratching that really only shows under bright light. If collectors can add any additional information. The long wooden tray is made of seasoned teak wood with a reddish cherry coloring. It features handles carved from the wood on two ends. The corners feature raised feet. This antique tray features engraved brass corner decorative accents and a brass centerpiece medallion. It was made in China most likely between 1910-1930. A very old export market label is still attached to the bottom of the tray. See photos below. The other 3 pieces are an assortment of small brass trays/dishes with hand-engraved carvings. Small Square Dish: One small dish is square with curved sides. It features a pomegranate-like fruit engraving. It is signed"China" ... moreon the back. I think the wood used to make this cart is English walnut. It looks like cherry. But the grain is just a bit different. The wheels are made of wood and in excellent condition. There is a handle to pull that flips up and folds down, and with the sides open it is big enough to have a meal on. Wood is in perfect condition. Antique Wood Wooden Serving Tray w/ Ornate Floral Metal Inlay
For auction a beautiful antique serving tray with a floral patter metal inlay. I'm going to guess that this piece datesback to the 1930s. Inlay became a trend in the 1930s. Inlay is labor intensive. But labor was cheap back then. The tray measures 19" across and 9 1/4" at its widest. The wood is a beautiful. Almost exotic burled wood, but I dont know wood well enough to say for sure. On close inspection you can see that the piece was made from 2 pieces of wood glued together plus an edging to tie it all together. Because of the age of the piece and the stress on the wood from years and years of changing weather, the seam reveals in a handful of places itself on one side of the tray(as seen in my pictures) but not on the other side. I've taken a number of pictures of the seam so that you can see what is happening. The wood ... morewill forever expand and shrink, but I this piece will hold together well past out lifetimes. The inlay has a post arts and crafts feel about it. The size of this piece makes it ideal to sit on an end table with a small collection of glassware or figurines. FREE SHIPPING ON THIS ITEM lower 48 States USA see below under shipping. Nice solid flat top pine wood trunk refinished at some point in its life to a clean wood finish. Measuring approx. 32-1/4" wide x 18-3/4" x 20-3/4" tall. The lid is supported by a metal corner bracket that keeps the lid up nicely when the trunk is open. The wooden tray has the original metal finger lifts on each side so you can easily lift the tray out of the trunk. The inside floor of the trunk is wood but underneath the trunk is metal with the original metal rollers that act as little feet and move the trunk along easily. This piece has a lot of character I have seen people put wallpaper inside these trunks to match their room. Leave it clean wood or paper it your choice. All the locks and accessories are original we did not get a key. The metal corner ... morepieces are all in tact ~ Nice piece to store your woolies ~ take a look. Think Christmas this would make a coffee table. Toy box or kindling box. Great piece to decorate your home and still have storage! I am not an expert on items we sell.
