The inside compartments (there are 2) are a lot rougher than the rest of the wood. It has a very rustic primitive look. It is in pretty good condition with some wear and tear along with some cracks in the wood (the most noticeable one seen in photo 3), chips, scratches and some pieces of wood flaking off. This spice cabinet has the an antiquated original finish with tons of wear. There are 2 drawers that have some wood missing on the corners. Not too much, and you'll be able to see it in the pictures. There were stencils on the drawers, but they have mostly faded. The wood is very old, but it is still sturdy and in good condition overall for it's age. The drawers were constructed with dovetailed joints, dating to the late 1800's. The box features 8 dovetailed drawers. All the same size, at 4 1/4 wide, 4 1/2 deep and 2 3/4 inches tall. The back of the box measures 17 inches tall and 9 1/2 inches wide. The front measures 13 inches tall and is 5 inches ... moredeep. The back has a wonderful lollipop shape with a hole for hanging. But it can stand alone on a counter or shelf as well. All of the drawers have knobs for handles. But some ha ve been replaced so there is mixture of finishes. Shows signs of use and age. Acquired at a local Estate Sale this is a Vintage Antique Wooden 9 Piece Spice Pantry Set-Mfg. is the Patent Package Company of Newark. New Jersey-Pat. Aug. 31st, 1858. As per the pictures it is in used but good condition with(refer to Pictures) something white on one of the small jars. All the lids are intact and the material seems to be maple colored bentwood with tin sheet iron stays. The box measures approx. 9 1/2" across by 3 1/4" tall. The Mfg. About this auction: 11 photos have been posted. Antique wooden medicine cabinet with brass hardware. Size: 20" X 14" X 7" This piece was salvaged from a New York City tenement building. Which was about to be renovated. I do not know the age of this piece but I am judging it is very old based upon the style of the hinges. Screws and locking mechanism. Condition of item listed. Doors open and close without issue. Brass hinges could use a cleaning. As could all the brass parts. Original key is missing from the lock but despite this. The doors can still be pulled opened. I do see a jag/splinter to one interior edge of one door. This can easily ... morebe repaired. if you are handy in that way. I also see a couple spots where the wood veneer has chipped away here and there. I have NOT attempted to clean this piece in any way. Aside from wiping off the dust. I don't know what kind of wood it is, but with some attention it could likely be brought back to its original brilliance. I assume the interior shelf has been added by someone since the wood is not the same as the rest. The hinges which one hangs the piece may need to be removed for shipping. Of course. This spice cabinet has an antiquated original finish with tons of wear. There are 2 drawers that have some damage that you'll be able to see in the pictures. One has a minor crack in the lower back. And the other is missing a small portion of the lower back. The top has a very thin crack, but the wood is not separated. The wood is very old, but it is still sturdy and in good condition overall for it's age. The box features 8 dovetailed drawers. All the same size, at 4 1/4 wide, 4 1/2 deep and 2 3/4 inches tall. The back of the box measures 17 inches tall and 9 3/4 inches wide. The front measures 13 inches tall and is 5 inches deep. The back has a wonderful lollipop shape ... morewith a hole for hanging. But it can stand alone on a counter or shelf as well. All of the drawers have small brass knobs for handles. Some of the drawers are numbered in pencil on the bottom to ensure they fit in the proper slot as all drawers do not fit in all the slots indicating that it is a very old hand made item. It is 9 1/2 wide and about 3 1/2 inches high and the name appears to be as indicated. the stamp is in the wood on the bottom of the main can and all of the smaller wood tins. The ones easy to read are"Nutmeg. Mace, Ginger, Mustard? and some others have stamp letters but I cant tell. Some have no visible names of spices on them. The piece is perfect other than its missing a small corner bottom piece of wood. The rest of the tin and smaller tins are in great condition with firm seams and no wood problems. There are still some spices in some of the tins that I dont want to remove as they may have lasted all these years so you get what I got. Mailing is $15.50 in the U.S.

This antique wooden spice cabinet is a wall mount. With 8 flush pull drawers. The drawers are wood, top, bottom, sides, and front. The joinery used are butt joints, except at the front face which uses a notch joint. Rabbet joints are used on the cabinet drawer partitions. there are two existing holes at the top that were the previous mount points. There is a faded printed graphic with the words"Spice Cabinet" arched across the top. This cabinet is approximately 17 1/4 inches tall. 10 1/4 inches wide, and 4 1/4 inches deep. The drawers are approximately 3 7/8 inches wide 4 3/16 inches deep, and 2 11/16 inches tall. This cabinet weighs approximately 5 pounds. This week we are featuring this primitive round pantry spice box from a recent estate sale. It is complete and all original. This set includes seven smaller spice boxes that nest nicely inside. The box has nice aged patina. The large box has"SPICES" printed on top and side as well. The smaller boxes are marked with the spice it held. The large pantry box is 9 1/2" in diameter and 3 3/8" tall. The smaller boxes are"Pepper" 3 1/4" in diameter. All other spice boxes are 2 1/2" in diameter. Smaller boxes are all approximately 3" tall. The main box has a separation from the wood drying out but still closes securely. Being offered is this pair of antique carved wooden molds used to make ginger bread or spice cookies in Germany. They have been painted white but could easily be restored to the original bare wood. Antique Afghan Spice Box - Wooden - Dye Painted - Ornate Brass Bells - c 1800's
Antique Afghan spice box. Dating from the mid-late 1800's. All of the middle-eastern spice boxes are literally works of art. this one is unusually ornate with its tasseled clusters of metal bells attached to its domed lid. With its size and additional ornamentation, I imagine whatever was intended to be stored in this small box, must have been considered as desirable& rare as the box itself. It is treadle lathe-turned wood with a rounded edged slip lid. Hand decorated with beautiful hues of red& yellow vegetable dye-based paints. On a black base accent. The five ornate bell tassel clusters& their 3/4" floral back-plates are held in place by butterfly rivets that are fastened on the underside of the lid. Where the bells& plates are untarnished, they are pale yellow brass/silver in color. Overall. This box is in Good ... moreto Very Good aged condition. There is a shallow vertical check at the outer base that has an old mend, and another small horizontal check at the lathe center point that extends to the inside of the box. Both checks have remained stable over the years& haven't widened any further. There is a darkened transparent stain on the top around one of the bell clusters. a small finish chip in the red band in one area& some slight chipping in the yellow band areas. The box is 1 5/8" to 1 7/8" in height. The lid measures approximately 3" in diameter. the base is 2 3/4" in diameter. Please feel free to message me if you'd like additional photos. Antique Primitive Wooden Nutmeg Grinder, Old Treen Spice Grater, Pepper Mill
Check out this charming. Antique, wooden nutmeg grinder we have to offer that's in very good, well-preserved condition. It's from an old collection we found and have been liquidating for the past year or so. This piece is beautifully turned and carved and has gorgeous, natural coloring and distinct graining. It's comprised of three pieces and is very folksy-looking. The top piece is similar to a pestle and the middle section is like a mortar. Both of these pieces are fitted with round, punched tin pieces that, when brought together and turned, grind up the nutmeg or other spices. The footed bottom portion acts as a receptacle that catches the grounds that fall through the punched tin. This piece screws on and off thanks to a uniquely carved, fitted notch. This primitive. Old kitchen tool is only about 5 3/8 inches high with a ... morebottom diameter of 2 5/8 inches. It shows minor age related wear with some nicks in some of the the opening edges but isn't cracked or split. Woolson established the Woolson Spice Company in 1882. And built it into a successful coffee business which became well known for its printed trade cards. Here is a vintage. Old, curved hand grater with small sized holes. It is not maker marked. The measurements, including the wooden handle, are about 3" by 9" I do have many other different graters that I am offering and I would combine items for a lower shipping cost.
