Antique victorian walnut cross frame with old Godeys fashion print
Antique victorian cross style frame. With leaf accents on each corner, believed to be walnut, with gold on the inside edge of the frame, with a believed to be Godeys(can't see any words as the frame covers the picture and I didn't attempt to take it apart) fashion print of five regal looking ladies in colorful dresses. The frame has 3 leaves with missing pieces. There are also 2 holes drilled on each side of the frame. The back is a piece of wood held in with old nails and old picture wire. The outside frame measures 11 3/4 by about 9 3/4, with the glass opening at about 7 3/4 by 9 3/4, so for an 8 x 10 picture. The frame has carving details and overall is in nice shape for its age. This is a beautiful antique file. It looks like walnut. It's obviously very old and in mint condition. It has four little drawers. I've used it for recipes and pictures. It holds 100's of 3x5 or 4x6 pictures. It's really nice and I hate parting with it but it just doesn't match our décor anymore. It's 16" wide by 16" deep by 12" tall.

32 wide 16 deep 40 tall OK. Here comes the CSI work that those of us dealing in material culture from a past era practice in the attempt to identify furniture accurately. Clearly, this cabinet was meant for sorting. I date it somewhere in the last decade of the 19th century, perhaps up to 1910. It has been suggested that this was a postal cabinet in one of the Texas small towns or a hotel room key and message cabinet. I do not believe it was for postal sorting, as there have been no applied things to identify the slots. For the same reason, I do not believe it was meant to sort mail and messages for a small hotel- and there would have been no reason for doors in either of those applications. I have seen similar cabinets as the top of a flat or drop front desk and this makes the best sense to me. I cannot recall a piece of production furniture, ... morea desk top, of even the most modest use built without a locking mechanism, as though everyone who ever owned a desk had something to hide, even with their easily smashed glass doors. My point here is that this piece of well made furniture never had a lock, just 2 simple knobs. I believe it is a custom piece, meant for a purpose. Now, the purpose. Any small business at the turn of the 20th century would have kept its own books and the paperwork would have been kept close at hand, sorted, and handy. I don't see this cabinet as that of a private home, maybe for the foreman or business manager of a ranch, but not just someone's personal papers. It's way too clean for one of the dirty industries, like blacksmithing, drayage, or a feedlot, but could easily have fit into the country doctor's office or the small ranch or maybe as the top of a law clerk's desk or in a assay office. This is just off the top of my head. The thinking runs that a lawyer would have locks on everything, but the law clerk would be more of a paper shuffler. Antique French Walnut Gilt Settee and Pair of Chairs
This is a very nice french settee and a pair of arm chairs to match. They are made of walnut with gilt work to the carved areas.made in France circa 1930. The upholstery is in pretty good condition a few small marks. Lts all original. with rococo french style carvings to the top. Antique Walnut Shaving Mirror Swing Type No.2
This old piece is 14 1/2" x 12" Mirror alone is 9 1/2x6 1/2. There is a bit of silvering. The wood has quite a bit of scratching. But it shouldn't take much to restore it. 1800s Antique Victorian Etagere - Walnut, Marble, Tall MIrror
This is a spectacular carved Victorian Etagere from the 1800s. It would be stunning in a grand entrance or foyer with a high ceiling. I understand this piece to be Walnut. I am not sure if it is an English or American. Excellent condition. But the mirror has been replaced. One small split in a section of wood just above the marble top. One drawer which is almost hidden by design. This etagere is currently safe in climate controlled storage. If I had anywhere to properly display this item in my home, I would not be selling it. It's really something special, and the price is very low for an antique of this quality. Tall queen antique spool walnut 4 four post poster bed
For sale is a 1890s- 1910 spool 4 post bed. I believe the wood is walnut. The finials are pineapples. Fits a queen mattress but is a little short for the mattress. I bought a foam mattress and cut off about 1.5 inches at the foot of the bed. If not using foam you will have to have one specially made or use double size mattress. Very tall and striking! Original finish and very sturdy. Measures 90" tall. 62" wide, 80" deep. Pick up only 30 miles west of Chicago in Oswego IL.

Description This is a nice antique pediment that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Mansion. It is made of walnut and oak and is currently painted brown. There is a nice curved crown molding along the top with carved fans below. It was originally part of a larger piece. It measures 30.25 inches long. By 13 inches tall. It's 3.5 inches thick. Overall. this is a very early chair. Im told by a reputable person that the wood is walnut, possibly elm arms, and a newer oak seat, its constuction is mortise and peg, these mortises have been made in a random way, as on 1 arm the mortise goes all the way up, and no sign of this on the other, the same goes for the legs, 1 hase fully through mortise, there has been worm to the back, and legs, the front feet have been repaired with oak blocks, i think te supports under the seat have also been replaced,very sound, hard to age this chair, though, surely minimum of 300 years id think

It has a Queen Anne back and cabriole legs with shell carving on the knee, all ending in pad feet. It is 38" high at the back by 21' deep(front leg to back leg) by 22" wide(knee to knee) NOTE: all measurements given are the largest, outside measurements. The seat height is approx. 18" from floor to top of seat. The chair is solid but there is some inlay missing. Please see all photos. It has a very old finish, probably original, with good color and patination. The slip seat is very easy to re-upholster. The chair has a high back which is hinged in the back and has a ratchet mechanism on the arms for reclining. It also has a pull out drawer where you can rest your feet and/or store reading materials. It is 51" high at the back by 23" wide by 22" deep. Seat height from floor to seat is about 20" with the seat cushion. In overall good conditiion with wear commiserate with age. Walnut Maple Antique Vintage Chest Depression Era Drawers & Glove Box Sheraton
1700- 1800's Sheraton chest/ dresser. Two toned wood. Hand carved and just a beautiful piece. I think it may be walnut and maple but could be mahogany too. Exquisite piece with the beautiful designed front and glove box on the top. This is one of the most beautiful pieces I have seen! I don't know the maker because I don't know alot about furniture so can't answer too many questions. If I guessed by looking at other ones listed on ebay it looks like a Sheraton but I don't know how to really tell for sure. But here is a description of Sheraton furniture and it is exactly like this chest with the marketry and different woods and straight and tapered legs. I do know it is very old and has the handmade handcut dovetail drawers. I am guessing the age to be circa 1700-1800's because of the handcut dovetails. The wood is dark walnut and the mirror has Eastlake style spoon carvings on the corners and a half spindles on each side of the mirror. It has a squared off top that looks shelf like. The glass is in excellent condition with no fogging or discoloration. There are a few nicks and scuffs on the wood of the mirror but over all it is in great condition. The marble on the desk is in excellent condition. ... moreIt is light brown and has a smooth beveled edge. It still has some shine to it as well. The desk has 1 center drawer and it has dovetail craftsmanship with a brass pull. The legs are very curvy and come together to form a butterfly shape. The stretcher runs across the width of the table and is very curvy as well. Meeting the center of the legs on each side. The wood does show some signs of age and wear but this just adds to the character and patina of the entire set. The back upper corner has a small chunk missing but you cant even see it with the marbel top on. See pictures below. This is a very nice set, it is antique and will not be perfect. I do not know who the maker is or the exact date it was made. The mirror measures 46 ¼ inches tall, 25 3/8 inches side to side and 3 11/16 inches front to back. It weighs 20 pounds. The marble top measures 1 1/8 inches tall, 29 9/16 inches side to side and 19 3/8 inches front to back. The marble weighs 58 pounds. Lovely antique walnut Rococo Revival settee in a graceful serpentine style. It has beautiful floral and leaf carvings in the center back crest. Along with finger rolls. A floral carving also appears in the center of the seat rail, finished with carvings flowing down along the rail sides of the cabriole legs, ending in claw feet. The arm rests end in a matching claw pattern. The settee is wonderfully upholstered in a cranberry colored Amboise striped velvet. This is a beautiful three-piece matching ash and walnut Victorian age bedroom set dating from the 1880s. And which came out of a home in ... moreNew Hampshire. The set consists of an unusual full-size bed with a curved footboard that is the correct size for a modern size mattress, and a three-drawer dresser with racetrack molding and carved handles, with ditty boxes(which was where they stored their jewelery) on top and the original swivel mirror, along with a secret hidden drawer in the base. The third piece is the washstand or commode. It’s in original, as-found condition, except for a piece of molding on the base of the commode that we glued up. The only damage I can see is that there are a couple lamination seams that show up on the top and backsplash of the commode, which you can see in the pictures, and there is a four-inch crack in the dresser top that will not hurt it structurally. There are a few little water stains here and there, but other than that, it’s a really nice, honest set from the 1880s era. The patina is gorgeous, in a rich amber color, and also features a hand-carved walnut crest on the top, applied walnut beveled edge panels, and a beautiful carved center crest on the headboard and footboard of hand carved walnut, along with racetrack molding all carved out of solid black walnut

This extraordinary piece has a matching armoire that we have for sale in our Ebay store so be sure to check it out as well. The vanity has pressed wood designs of acanthus leaves with shells and scrolls above and below the mirror as well as on the legs. The wood flanking the mirror has the same ornate design carved and pressed in it. The tops. Doors and ... morecenter drawer front are all covered in beautiful burled walnut veneer. Behind each door is a dovetail drawer and shelving for extra storage. There are teardrop style pulls on the doors and on the center drawer. The burled veneer is splitting in some areas and the wood has expanded and retracted over the years causing splits in a couple of areas. Be sure to check out the photos below. I do not know the maker or exact date this vanity was made. I believe it is from the Art Nouveau era which makes it about 100 years old. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. This vanity measures 69 inches tall, 59 ½ inches side to side and 17 3/8 inches front to back. It weighs 114 pounds. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested.
